Hyway Cylinder Problems For Husqvarna 372 And How To Raise Transfers Without A Right Angle Tool!

- Showing some major problems I had with the Hyway cylinder. The plating chipped very easy around the ports just touched with finger nail it would chip. The blow down was very bad 35 degrees. So I used warrior diamond tools with the dremel flex shaft to raise the transfers. The squish band was .070 plus so I had to use a 268 piston to fix it. I have to epoxy the intake to get my intake numbers around 158 degrees. I raised the exhaust port to 98 to fi the bad plating. Cylinder is roughed in for now.

Great info. Thanks for sharing
Nice! Well done man. I’m gonna try this pop up trick. And the uppers trick. Hyway titanickle chipped a lot more than nickasil for me. Thanks for the ideas I was just messing around today and I fit a 038 piston in a 372, ran and made power so far
Those titanikel cylinders chip because I think the plating was not bonded very well just slightly above all ports. My 372 chipped a little at the exhaust roof just after running the saw. I lost about 1.5 degrees of exhaust timing no problems now. You might want to pull the cylinder and check. Iron horse talked about this too.
That’s like a professional musician can take a junky guitar and make music with it 👍
I won’t use hyway or meteor or cross ever again. Just some I’ve had bad luck with
I know working on hyway cylinders are like walking on pins and needles. They chip even when running on the saw. I switched to duke cylinders.
@@kennytheguitarfanatic054 I love duke cylinders
Not a fan of HYWAY cylinders
What kind of cylinders do you use I had problems with the 2 Hyway Titanikel on the 372 bigbore kit the intake roof too high had to go with a 272 piston
@@kennytheguitarfanatic054 I use farmertec cylinders mostly...or warhawk
