my go to saw for weight/power is the stihl 440. its a bit lighter then the 460 and they are just super reliable. have literally ran 3-5 tanks of gas through mine 5 days a week for the past 4 years and have only had to do regular upkeep like sprockets a clutch and spark plugs. the key to a saws lifespan is a sharp chain though. a dull chain will burn up a saw in a hurry.
Still going through your older content wtg on the filming top notch, I would say do what you want to do ie port etc, if i had your knowledge/brain i would port it hands down, have fun
My 461 new was actually a little underwhelming. My well used 046 Mag would out run it. I had it woods ported by a local guy and it now out pulls my 661 and 100% puts a smile on my face.
You need to find stihl 070 075 or 076 106cc to 111cc fun and strong old saws on lower rpm scale but lots of low end torque or save your pennies and go for a 090 137cc biggest stilh saw ever made actually its the biggest one man saw ever made not confused with 090G thats the 2 to 1 reduced gear model 106cc They made a 090GS model stone saw 5 version of 090
I have a multi part build series on the saw. Honestly I can’t remember all the details. There was machine work, pop up and full rebuild with a 52mm piston

I agree. Stihl really did something right with the 044/440. The balance of power and weight is perfect. A first grab for me!
I just did the 365 to 52mm big bore pop up piston it has more power forsure
372xp for the win 1999-2024 + clones. Best saw husky ever made imho. The early ones can be made into animals.
Nice chainsaw review. Looking forward to more vids, Great job!
Much appreciated man!

365 is 65.4cc 48mm bore 36mm stroke 4.0 cu in
372 71cc 50mm bore 36mm stroke 5.2 hp
Stihl 461 76.5 cc 52mm bore 36mm stroke
4.67 hp
Take that 8 sprocket off stick a 7 on sharpened the chain n check rakers put a bark box on it run it again
I will make those changes minus the bark box. I did the bare bones get it running good in that revival vid.
@@Man-Time well if you don't want spend money on a bark box modifie the muffler open it up cut out the restricted plate
I did do that. That was done before I ran the saw in the wood. It was late and off camera
@@Man-Time did run any better after
@@Man-Time the 7 tooth sprocket should pick up the rpms
Husqvarna atau stihl yang irit bahan bakar nya bos. Berapa inch maksimal bar untuk husqvarna

Port it! Nothing beats a ported saw that you successfully time, grind, and polish yourself!! Makes mantime more fullfilling
Heard that brother. It’s not really yours unless you built it!
I guess we know what the answer is, cant wait to see the results! Nice job with the vids!
Many thanks!
Port it and put a 7 pin sprocket on it so you're comparing apples to apples
I’m sure that comparison is coming…😬
Port that 461 and see the results
You know I want to!
@@Man-Time they are monsters 👻

I’m always on the lookout for saws in my area. If I come across one I’ll jump on one. I really like my 056ave. It tractors through the wood
@@Man-Time yup good old saws like a steam engine they just keep on chugging along
What were your timing numbers and squish on the Huski? What port work did you do?
I have a multi part build series on the saw. Honestly I can’t remember all the details. There was machine work, pop up and full rebuild with a 52mm piston
Husqvarna is a king anyway !!!!!🧡🧡🧡
372 xp is 50mm 70cc.
461 is 52 mm 76 cc.
461 lightly ported with a timing advance and muff mod is a much better saw than a 372
Much better than most, 461 are great. In anything under 30" mines cooking, and if I need to throw a 36" it doesn't complain
Have you tried also running the husky on 38:1 oil fuel mix ratio? or do you have ti all sorted by now?
I did get it sorted. I think it was a timing advance that finally brought it around. And I run 40:1 red armor.
@@Man-Time ahhh nice.
