Finding chargers using only the official MyEnergica App | A Quick Impression • Finding chargers using... Авто/Мото
1. Limitation to 60A on older bikes is because the fuse is in the heart of the battery. Takes 8 hrs to replace. It blows not because of the Energica, but because some charging stations have a too high peak current (A)
2. Don't use the manual lock, only if necessary! It's not meant for regular use and might break easily
I've seen a film of someone that has had a brand new battery from Energica because of the blown fuse in the battery. I take it the firmware update restricting the charge speed has to do with that. ;)
Thank you for this info 👍 really appreciated.
Jesus that’s charging fast. 68-72 in just the first minute of the video
I bet my Taycan can do that in a minute 🤓
How can we find your app

Has anyone tried to limp home and see how deep into the reserve you can go before it turns off? Would love to know we really have 1 or 2kWh after it shows 0 range.
Haven't tried that with the Energica yet. If I ever get into that position I'll make sure to record it.
@@Hans2183 I mean, you may want to do it on purpose, up and down the street by your house if you ever get home with a low battery. Safe and great data to have and share.
I might try this in a few weeks on the Energica Eva Ribelle, since I live on a block where I could ride around in circles for a while without worrying about having to push it home too far.
At very low SOC %'s the bike will go into "limp" mode, it's triggered when cell voltages drop below a specific level. This mode greatly reduces the top speed and acceleration. As battery voltage sags based on to the current draw, a properly balanced pack should be able to limp for awhile so long as you are not aggressive with the throttle. Not something I would advise... It's vital that you recharge a battery that is at low SOC ASAP.
There is a video from Lex Summer where he does this. Tried once myself, you can get quite far (10-20 kms) at lower speed (50-70 km/h). Power is very limited though…
Now there is the big question what these Allan keys are good for. They are not of any usable size unfortunately!
Haven't tried but I suspect the plastic tank covers and the chain guard should at least be removable with these. Maybe also the charging lock mechanism cover.
