    Why Modulating Growth Matters: Understand the significance of addressing scoliosis during a child’s growth phase to prevent curve progression and even reduce existing curves.
    Schroth Method Exercises: Learn about the Schroth method, a specialized exercise program designed to strengthen muscles and improve posture, helping to manage and reduce scoliosis curves.
    Bracing: Discover how bracing works to support the spine and prevent further curvature, and why it's essential to use this method during periods of growth.

    Hi Dr i have a question, i just turned 19 and my growth plates are almost closed, can i still reduce the curve? ( i have a mild curve of 17 degrees, i was at 32⁰ and i reduced it with a brace for the past 2years)

      If you still have growth left, then yes, you can reduce it by modulating growth. Sounds like you are doing great work!

    Hi. I’ve been watching your videos and I really like how you explain things very clearly.
    I have an unrelated question from this video I hope you can answer.
    How can Scroth breathing help with a left lumbar curve? I have sciatic nerve compression on my right side causing sciatica. Overall I have right thoracic, left lumbar - but it’s the lumbar curve that’s causing me pain.
    I have just started doing Schroth with a therapist.
    Thank you.

      The elongation aspect is crucial in this situation. Control and elongation should help open the nerve passages.

    Hi! I have a question about my collarbone. I have mild scoliosis but i feel like it improved, i did schroth exercises and streching exercises and my shoulders are the same height but my right collarbone is like a lot higher, what do u think what is it and how to treat it?

    • @AlignTherapyUtah
      @AlignTherapyUtah  3 месяца назад

      You might have an upper thoracic curve that is affecting that. I would work with someone who can work in person with you to determine if that is the case.

    Hello sir, i am 17 and i developed lumbar scoliosis when i was 16 i think its functional because i was fine till then but my posture was really bad and when i started to sit straight it started to hurt on right side of my mid-lower back, i have been to 3 physiotherapist the pain is comparatively low but it affects my sports performance also i have a hard time maintaining neutral spine during hinge movements like RDLs , can you please tell me some things i can do to correct it or just eliminate the pain?
