    Thank you so much. I'm still debating on this pack for a long distance walk. I am 5'2 110 lbs and I would like a pack that is lightweight and small enough for my frame. Thanks again!

      Have you ever taken a look at the Waymark mile?

    As far as I can tell the difference between black and white:
    Pro is made of the heavy duty material
    Pro is water proof with the internal removable dry bag
    Pro has 2 zipped side pockets
    Non pro model is subsequently lighter.
    I'm super tempted, but it's hard to justify the cost!
    Thanks the review 😎

      The regular model does not have the side pockets? Interesting. I should have gotten the other one then. I don’t use the dry bag ever. Or the side pockets. Lighter is better

      I'm contemplating the ultra...one question - did you order directly from USWE? If so, did you pay any customs/duty charges upon delivery? @@alpineearth

    • @alpineearth
      @alpineearth  9 месяцев назад +1

      @slugn I ordered the 30L straight from USWE. I ordered the 18 litre from chain reaction Cycles. Best place to order from for no duty is Runinn online. Use the cheapest shipping. Takes FOREVER. No duty. Otherwise, yes you have to pay GST at the very least. As long as they are using USPS ground it is just GST. But shipping through anywhere else there is duty/brokerage fees. I find fed ex is super reasonable.

    Thank you so much, USWE marketing is probably one of the worst, they dont seem to make or sponsor any proper videos for their products, its a shame as their products are my top favorite (for enduro riding). Did you end up getting the Ultra?

    • @alpineearth
      @alpineearth  10 месяцев назад +1

      Not yet but it’s on the list.

    I am undecided between the pro 30l or the ultra 30l for adventure racing. The only thing that disturbs me of the ultra is that the belt is not detachable... Between them both, which one would you get?

    • @alpineearth
      @alpineearth  6 месяцев назад +2

      That’s easy, the ultra. It’s lighter. I would definitely use the belt anyway for my camera and snacks. Also, The side water bottle pockets on the ultra are AWESOME

      @alpineearth did you get the Ultra 30 meanwhile? I own it only a coupe of days and its awesome. I am pretty sure many people would be interested in a review. The only downside is that it's just water resistant to my knowledge and has no raincover. Also it has no clippable helmet carry harness like the tracker series. The weight and comfort is unbeatable though 😊

      @rawr7640 I did not get it yet. Waiting on a big sale :) glad you like it

    Do u think with 15 kilos or so of weight, it is comfortable to hike in all day? I assume ndm system that straps around the chest maybe helps with better weight distribution?

    • @alpineearth
      @alpineearth  Месяц назад +1

      Yes the chest system distributes weight better but not sure how you would get 33 lbs in a 30 Litre bag unless you were filling it with rocks lol. I think the weight limit for this one would be closed to maybe 20lbs or 9 kg.

    Hello, im planning to do a big walk across europe on fall and im on the market for a lightweight backpack.
    Ive been trying to find USWE Hajker reviews but they are quite limited (except a big sponsored video of a lady doing the camino de santiago).
    Do you think this backpack could be worth it for someone carrying about 22lbs for hiking and maybe some trail running?
    Thanks.

    • @alpineearth
      @alpineearth  4 месяца назад

      I mean yeah it would work but it’s heavier that other lighter packs and the pockets are kinda difficult to work with if you want to keep moving and not be annoyed. It’s definitely stable enough for running but there are better packs for that IMO like the montane packs. Check them out in my videos. The other one I have ran in before is the mountainsmith Zerk 40. I love that pack.

    I can't figure out how to thread the tube into the pocket Thermo Cell. Are there instructions?

    • @alpineearth
      @alpineearth  16 дней назад

      @@gailhemphill1 I don’t think so. If I remember correctly it’s an opening at the top just behind your shoulder.

    I'm confused: Is the pack itself waterproof or is it just the additional bag that stuffs in it which is waterproof?

    • @alpineearth
      @alpineearth  7 месяцев назад +1

      The bag is water resistant. The included stuff sac is waterproof.

    Is there a big difference in size between the 24l and 30l cause I can get the 30l for like $90 but don't know if it will be too big of a bag

    • @alpineearth
      @alpineearth  7 месяцев назад

      What are you using it for? That is what it comes down to. I found the 30 L a bit big for fat biking. My husband who hauls around the kids stuff likes it though. For mountain biking the 18L is a nice size. I don’t think the winter one comes in 18L though. If it’s a day pack then not enough difference between the 25 and 30 L to make a difference. If you are cross country skiing with it you may find it too big at 30 L.

    How do u route the bladder on the winter I can't figure it out

    • @alpineearth
      @alpineearth  6 месяцев назад

      You route it through either chest strap, there are 2 holes close to the top of the bladder, I wish I took a photo to show u.
