In this episode Randy shows you how to make some of her favorite Thanksgiving sides that will add new life to any dinner table!!! Begin with Carrot Shooters as a bright way to start the meal. Randy also introduces Green Packets which are a highly requested favorite in her home for the holidays! Watching you and Leonard has become a part of my life.
I noticed in some of your videos that you enjoy warm rice with curry, gravy, etc. Do try making your rice with two pods of cardamom, an inch of cinnamon stick, half a teaspoon of cumin seeds n a bay leaf sauteed in a tablespoon of olive oil. Add the washed and soaked rice to it. Add some salt to taste. Warm water(for each part of rice, two parts of water). Cover n Cook.

I just found your channel last night and watched the entire Christmas Spectacular special...then a couple and this morning with my coffee was this video. I'm totally hooked. You all have such positive and genuine energy radiating through these videos. Thank you for so much enriching energy and recipes. I truly want to try those green pouch leaves (totally keto friendly too for those interested) along with the stuffed chicken. Delicious. I always have a big fat Thanksgiving get together here in Nova Scotia and host 35-40 family in October here in Canada. I will definitely try some of these hits. Thank you thanks you thank you. green packets remind me of stuffed grape leaves and peppers. it's eastern european/middle eastern and the stuffing has spices and rice in it so it makes it a more substantial dish rather than a side. it's also cooked in olive oil and steamed. you can make them with essentially any leave, definitely cabbage(my mom loves stuffed cabbage i personally hate it but to each their own)

Grape leaves could be an option but I've never done it with mushrooms only with meat and rice. The good part is they come in in a brine in a glass jar ready to use. Love Ur show.

Just a little tip: take a potato peeler and shave the spine layer by layer until you have almost achieved the thickness of the leaf itself.

Do you rinse the mushrooms? Or rub them clean? It didn’t seem like you did but, I’m just double checking.
I find wiping them clean works great and keeps the mushroom flavor more in tact. 😘❤
hello! You should never wash mushrooms in water...they absorb too much! Susan is right. I wipe them clean. Laborious yes...but it keeps the flavor! Big christmas fun coming soon!!
A Polish friend of mine taught me what she called “Polish science!” All it means is to shave away the coarse cabbage vein down to a whispy thread and yes, I wondered about using cabbage in Canada as we find it really hard to find collard greens. (Cross over the border at Buffalo and it aboundeth). Go figure. Same thing with grits! Also, Gordon Ramsay is a psychotic and disgustingly rude, four letter purveying piece of 💩 and I have nothing to do with enabling him! Sorry to be negative. As you probably know by now, ah jes luf your videos and am always very happy to see a new offering. Thanks for this and Happy Yanksgiving (we Canucks who have the real Thanksgiving in October (harvest festival), differentiate your rather late celebration to our au courant one). Cheers, Colin. P.s.
