Howdy from Texas 🌵I had an apple crostata on Thanksgiving at Mangioni’s Restaurant it was devine! I decided that for our family group dinner on Christmas, I was gonna try my hand at it. I thought I have to see if Billy Parisi has a recipe. BOOM! here we go. I’m going w/your 2nd suggestion, dump apples in the center style. You’re right, that dough is the favorite part, and to think that sauce could not be easier! I know it’s gonna be good. Real butter in that crust, are you kidding me?? Cannot wait ❤️love you Billy.
I made this today and it turned out perfect!!! Went to a early Thanksgiving meal and brought this and everybody loved it!!! Also the Homemade Caramel...was amazing Thanks for helping me "Shine"!!!!!

A great way to make this crust is to substitute some of the water with white wine or vodka, as alcohol inhibits gluten development, resulting in a more tender and flakier crust.

Say what you want, but apple galette is much, much better than the pie. I also put some walnut halves in there... divine!!! I do an egg wash with a little cream in it.... brush it really good... sprinkle some sugar/cinnamon on top.... I made two yesterday for my friends. Merry Christmas!!!
