After one of my besties passed, I didn't realize I was unintentionally pushing away potential new friends. People would ask/offer/invite and I wouldn't go. My other besties don't live where I am nor live close. I did have 2 people not take "no" for an answer when trying to be friends but also I met them before said bestie passed. I'm trying to make a conscious effort. Not AT ALL looking for dating, JUST friend-dates. I appreciate this video, houtibe University has what you need when you ask the right questions...took some sifting through but I found this vid. I'm a bit of an introvert + awkward, so it will be odd but I want to try.
I have social anxiety so I am so nervous to download the app. But I really want friends, I’m just scared. Since turning 25 it’s been hard making friends.
It’s now or never. Don’t let fear and anxiety stop you from a new adventure. Regardless how it goes you have to put yourself out there to see what’s there for you! Plus the app isn’t the only way remember that and wishing you well on your friendship hunt!
Great video! But I’ve been on bumble bff for over a year now. Seems like the girls wanna talk, hang out once and then ghost you. No one wants to actually put in the effort to continue the friendships 🤷♀️ I’ve deleted my app 😅
I’m so glad I found this video. I just downloaded the app last night and was a little apprehensive. I like what you said in the profile. I might add something something similar to mine.
I just moved to a new city, and Bumble BFF could really help me. But for some reason I feel like friends that I met online aren’t “real” friends. Any suggestions on how to her rid of this feeling?
I feel you! It can be that way but friendship only starts to be real when both parties put in real effort to cultivate it. Some questions that have helped me, feel free to take it or leave it: 1. What does friendship mean to you at this stage of your life. Friendship doesn't stay the same at each stage or age of your life. Highs school and adult friendship are both enriching but both look different in support and love. 2. What are the characteristics you want in a friend and need to emulate in yourself to receive it. 3. Are you being picky about friendships, because as nice as someone maybe that might not be your friend just an acquaintance and that's okay. 4. Are you you're own friend, because friendship out off loneiness or boredom can lead to bad friend choices. Enjoy your own presence just as much as you seek new friends. Balance both. 5. Are you putting yourself in offline places to gain friendship. Bumble or online should not be your main source. Don't keep online too long, meet in person right away and see who clicks.
Thanks for the video! I have been on it for two years and did manage to make friends and talk to a few of them to this day 😊. I was wondering how long you speak with a match before asking to hangout? And how long do you wait for them to respond before unmatching?
Happy to hear from a fellow Bumble user! I'm not a big fan of talking over text with new people, so I usually try to meet in person immediately. A lot gets lost in text and some aspects of your personality are better in person. It's also a great way to weed out people who just want to text and never take things further.
@@victoriaknowsbest yeah I try to do the same! But most of the women seem very off put about it . I normally give it a few days to a week to ask to meetup.
I just had a best friend breakup with a guy and I went out with a new girl and her friends the other night . This was at a time when my mom was in the hospital .. it was a random last minute outing .. anyway .. maybe in just too emotionally sensitive at this time or maybe my energy is off but I said yes and left my walk in the park only to come out … no response afterwards and logged in today to see that she had unmatched me .. guess that she wasn’t feeling me .. and that’s ok .. but ouch❤😂
@@Autumn-m9r personally sometimes rejection is protection, especially when we’re going through hard things by ourselves or loved ones. I know that sucked, but just know this girl in Canada believes the best is yet to come for you, praying for healing for your mom and from your friendship break up! ❤️❤️❤️
@@victoriaknowsbest thank you so much . Upon further reflection, I agree . I know that it’s normal to invite people for drinks , but I’m at a point in my life when I want to cut back … it was also kind of strange and a lot to invite me (an outsider) to a group outing of over 8 people (I get it for safety but then I was treated like an outsider) . Her guy also asked about what kind of corn I like to watch … I think that you’re right that rejection is protection … it just wasn’t a match
Hi! Could I indicate on my profile that I'm not much of a texter but more of a voice message/call/chat kind of person? Like Im okay with texting but I find that I can express myself a lot better through speech rather than text. Would that seem weird or off-putting?
What's your Bumble BFF experience or are you thinking of trying it out yourself? Let me know your thoughts!
What ur bumble name I am now joining I need a Caribbean friend like you

It's like dating but for friends, it's not the only way to find friends. I hope you find some good people to make new friends with!

Great video ❤
Glad you liked it!!
A little bit of a weird question, but is there any issues with MLMs or churches spamming the app to try and recruit people??
All the dating apps have this issue tbh, mainly MLMs or harmful cults pretending to be churches.

Of course! And you should because then you can match with people who are similar to you in that way
Lmaooo the nerve of that girl talking bout you pay
When we use bumble bff free I am not getting option to see how likes my profile
It comes with the paid version
great video
Glad you enjoyed it
Also, can you filter by sexuality? Like can i try to find more LGBTQ friends?
Yes, but it only works if you pay for the app. Better to use an app specifically designed for this.
I'm looking for octopussies also, had any luck?
Still swimming still searching haha
