The saving animations to a library looks interesting, only the prompt that pops up about the layer makes it incredibly tedious. Wish they could just put the keyframes on the new layer as is, ignoring the old layer type it was on.
great vid. would've loved to know more about the animation library, how to add/apply animations to/from it, but u skipped the saving part.
All the same, Duik is very overloaded.
Limber is much more comfortable.)
The save animation is wild, imagine a community where people upload their basic animation like squash and strech jump from the video, and in this community like website or discord server people can upload like GIF's whith whan this animation do, a quick description and download link

Haha we don't waste time on transitions here! But FR I inserted the edit in the wrong spot and didn't realize it until after I uploaded the video and since RUclips doesn't allow you to replace a video, and the built in editor is extremely limiting, I had to just go with it.

My background is doing character animation in Flash and Toon Boom and using character libraries. I cannot figure out how to do this in AE. Thanks again. Looking forward to your class!

Non-linear animation looks amazing. I'm wondering if you can smoothly animate a character from walking to running?
It certainly seems possible. I don't know if you can tell in my walk cycle example, but when I overlayed the waving animation, it blended the arms swing of the walk cycle and the waving animation, but I'm sure you can build out each clip to be more seamless. It's one of those things I need more time to tinker with.

Very cool. However just FYI it saves your exact animation, so I don't know how well it will be to copy a walk cycle from one character to another with different porportions. This is something I need to tinker with some more. I'm think it might be more useful to save the different parts of the animation seperately rather than saving everything altogether. Perhaps a tutorial in the future if/when I figure something out?

Hello, Mr. John. A question came up recently. What solutions can be in the production of serial cartoons? that is, if you need to animate more than one scene, but repeat some animations in different series, make some characters library idk... How can it be organized and structured?
This is pretty exciting. Fyi the audio is out of sync when you come back on camera. Or at least it was when I watched it.
Interesting, it working for me. I did edit a small clip out via the youtube editor so I wonder if you caught the video when it was re-optimizing it.

Hi I'm using Duik Angela to rig a character that has many different precomps but the precomps are the same animation as the bone structure. Is there anyway I can parent the pre comps to the bone structure, that way I only have to use the controllers in the main composition?
Will you be coming out with a course for duik?
No plans currently. I know the the creator of DUIK is working on a master course though so keep an eye out for that.

hei man, i checked duik angela doesnt do that autorig without bones anymore, did i miss something? can u clarify the autorig & ik part in duik angela? those bones takes up extra layers, makes my computer slower and layer panel complex.
This is a problem I also ran into. I reached out to Duduf, the creator of DUIK, about it and he said it should still work but that it may just be a bug. This was over a month ago and it seems like that bug hasn't been patched for the release version.
My suggestion is to join the discord and leave your comments there as the more people who make this known the quicker it will get patched.
