Step by step Luke walks you through how to rig/re-rig a slug-Go soft bait for targeting monster fish. The re-rigged Slug-Go’s have been put on a line tester and cranked up to 35kg’s and they didn’t fail. You need some 170lb assist cord, a lope needle, a bait needle, super glue and of course some hooks.

Loving this tackle mods super keen! Would it be easier to use the existing cord as a draw cord to pull in the new cord? Do you have a colour preference with the Slug-go's? With the unrigged bait using single weighted hook do you add assist hooks to that? And is the 1/2 Oz hook good weight for sinking the 12" bait down ?? Cheers
It could definitely be easier to use the exciting cord? White is the favourite 😎 the single 1/2 once hook is another rigging option and works fine but if you want 2 hooks then use the re rigged system in the video. Thanks for watching 😎

We only get PLAICE, DOGFISH, WHITEING, & last but not least CODLING, oh yeah and LING! we use RAG WORM and SMALL SOFT SHELL CRABBS lol those hooks you got there are bigger than a whole crabb bait🤣 love your channel an I'd love to come an fish with you guy's!! You can do it with the un rigged ones- just use a bit of dish soap on the needle.

If you guys had two rods and were stickbaiting with one, would the other rod have a slug-go or a pilchard ready to pitch at a passing kingfish that wouldn’t eat a stickbait?
I’d go with the sluggo mate. Whole Pilchards are really good when a king is looking lazy (not swimming fast) and not fired up enough to eat a lure. A Pilchard is the last offering 😁

For an increase of 7 kgs, couldn't you buy the next strongest setup and spend the time with your lure in the water?
There isn’t a stronger set up in a packet that I’m aware of? We have had them fail while fighting big king fish strait out of the packet in the past which is heart breaking 😢 35kgs is what Luke tested them up to not what they broke at. They would take a lot more then 35kgs to break the re rigged ones.
