As an amateur It seems to me that the early hands were full of low cards. This helped the player a lot. As the game wore on the high cards started showing up. Therefor I personally would have deviated from basic, especially on not hitting on low hand when the dealer has a low card showing. The odds got very high that he was going to pull a face card, and did! LOSS to the player!! Card counting would have probably saved the day!

I don't believe I've ever seen a player playing two hands and getting two blackjacks along with the dealer. WOW!!!

I'm with you. If I have 16 with four cards against the dealer's high up-card I STAND.

Your Hand 15 & 16 vs. Dealer 9 or 10 (Face Cards) or an Ace Card.
Basic Strategy would say Surrender, but most Casinos don’t offer this and they can even plus +1 to match your bet, in order to PUSH for the draw.
However Surrendering when the Dealer has 2 to 5 is not an option because the Casino has to make 17, which runs the probability of going Bust due too a 3 card draw.
Remember that Double betting (Splitting Pairs) will only permit one more card for that hand and some Casinos make you double on multiple bets.
Insurance has roughly a 40 percent chance of working in the Players favour if the dealers first card is an Ace.
Check the Rules before been seated.

last week i hit a soft 18 to the dealer's 10 and a guy in the first position (i was in the last position) started screaming at me. he was betting between $200-400 a hand and lost on that hand. I tried to explain to him and others at the table that I was playing basic strategy. pit boss had to come over and tell the guy to shut up. He was losing plenty by himself -- a total of about $2K...

Cards have no memory. It doesn't matter where you're sitting. Your hitting could just as easily helped this guy. It seems that third base players get more grief.

@@DrSchor can't remember... i most likely either won or lost in the $50-$100 range. i bet $10 a hand and play basic strategy. never have huge wins but never have huge losses either.

Hello! I appreciate your BJ Basic Strategy run through..... just one comment however, at 11:32 when both hands made BlackJack (A's & Ten's) and Dealer shows an "A" as well, aren't you suppose to offer EVEN MONEY first? We do know that if the scenario is that Dealer shows a value of 10 (against platers BJ), then all fair and in that case, its a push.

10:30 You had a 12 and the dealer had a 14 why did he take another card?

    • @AlexM-uy4bt

Dealer must hit to a soft 17. Spelled out on the table. (Just learned this myself)

    • @lalocattus2024

He actually stayed on the 12s against the dealer's 4.

He must. While at least 1 player is still in the hand, the dealer must hit until 17 or bust regardless. Some rules require deal hits on 17

You only get 1 card if you split A’s ? (First half of this video)

    • @eastcalican21
      @eastcalican21  Год назад

Yes unless you get another ace, then you can resplit. But double check with the casino you go to because some casinos don't let you resplit Aces and still only get one card per Ace

Actually is rather simple strat. I might tweak it a bit some of the hands I would have stayed. What is the ratio of win is on hitting on a 16

in your round, you have a 16 to the dealer's 10. you didn't surrender (save half your bet). doesn't basic strategy say to surrender your 16 to the dealer's 10? you'll lose that hand 60 percent of the time. surrender is equal to losing 50 percent...

  • @logannaslund1057

also i have never been to a casino where you must double the minimum table limit if you would like to play 2 hands at once that sounds silly
