If dealer has an ace and you get to play, that means they don't have 21. Your odds of getting a card that gives you 21 is 4 out of 13 (not Accounting for cards already dealt) or 31%. That, plus the odds of you winning the hand by getting dealt even a 9 or less, and the dealer not making a hand, make this hand (you having an eleven and getting one card) a better than 50% probability for you to win. So, when you have a better than 50/50 chance to win, and an opportunity to bet more on that hand after knowing that, you always always do it.
Whats the point of gambling if you’re at a disadvantage? Even if it’s 49.5% to 50.5%, aren’t you mathematically guaranteed to lose money given enough time played?
Can’t wait until you get to deviations. Because some of the hands like you were saying I would have doubled down on. An Ace and a deuce, please. I’m doubling down. End of story. 😂
It's a very good video about the basics only thing that is very different is yr shoveling it's not even close to the dealers in the casinos even the machines are difficult
It depends on the table. If dealer must hit soft 17, you double down on 11 against any card. For dealer stand on all 17(soft 17), double down 11 against 2-10 no aces.
Have just been watching several videos on how to play BJ and yours is very good in that you are actually playing hands, and, using the basic strategy (BS) tables. Am I correct in thinking that BS determines ONLY whether you hit, stand, split, double etc, and is independent of how much you bet. Also it appears that card counting is completely independent from BS and it determines only how much you bet. If this is true then the other videos don’t make this point clear and only consider the making of money from the casino.
Yes basic strategy only helps you with when to hit, stand, double, and split based off mathematics and statistics. It does not determine how much to bet since the bets are placed before the cards are dealt. This is where people start playing betting strategies to try to get an extra advantage
The edge about BS + counting cards is that you can double down or even split bet if you know you have the favor in odds, even if BS tells you not to. Counting cards also give you hints that you should bet high or low depending on hi-lo current count. so these two come hand in hand in the end.
card counting is not independent from bs. card counting helps bet sizing but also deviations, where you play against bs because the statistics due to the true count make a certain decision more favorable. some deviations can even include taking insurance to increase ev
Question: at 16:40 min hand, if the right side hand stays at 14 and when the dealer gets the 16, is that an automatic loss? Or the dealer needs to continue dealing to beat the left side hand, and since he goes over 21 would the 14 win?
For me 11 & 10's are NOT always double downs! I find that if you are given an 2 or 3 followed by an 8 or 9 this would be a double down ONLY! If you get it the other way 8 or 9 first followed by the 2 or 3, that you will most likely loose this set up!! ;) So in summery, the smaller of the two cards should be near YOU/On TOP and not NEAR the dealer/On the Bottom!! From 30 years of playing.... :) For soft hands with an ACE I double only soft 13-16 when the ACE is near you or on top! And 17 ONLY when the ace is near the dealer!!!
Gotchu. And basically you flat bet at table minimum until one of the 4 scenarios hits...and then martingale from there until your next win if you lose that 1st bet regardless of how the cards play out on that 1st hand?
Where can I find those charts to print/view. There's a few floating around that have discrepancies occasionally and I want to practice off accurate ones.
thank for the video the best part for us beginners was how you mapped out the chart as you explained the game. I have watched other video and this was the right speed everything worked for me.
Great video for beginners! Thanks so much! I have one question about one hand...the player was served a 5 and a 6, the dealer shows a jack...you doubled down and then got served a 3...why did you not take another hit rather than standing?
You read the card incorrectly, you were 100 percent wrong on several more points. Listening to your advice is a roadmap to the poor house…Learn how to count cards…it’s the only thing that will work in thru long term. ☮️.
Gameplay starts @2:50
Two huge factores when using basic strategy, ALWAYS follow the formula even when it feels wrong. And stay PATIENT. Don’t let your emotions win.
Really good video. Good speed and love having the basic card guide visible. Well done!
Thank you for taking the time to produce this excellent video. It is appreciated!
Of course!! Thank you for the support!

Great video…thanks for sharing
Very good for us beginner
Best education video i ever watch 💯
Thank you for doing this series.
My basic strategy chart says not to double your 11 if the dealer has an Ace. Great video very helpful 😊
Yeah I have seen both. Not sure which one is the right one but I personally don't double against an Ace lol. Too risky for me haha
Thank you!!

Omg true. I’m scared of playing live over tables because I don’t want Other people thinking I screwed up their game

love the format. I didn't know you always double on 11 even against a ace.
Thanks man! I was surprised too, I would never double 11 against an Ace lol

@@hidude1354yep. Take insurance at TC +3 or higher
Good video man thanks !
At 1156 why didn’t you go through with the split on the pair of aces and hit on the Q4?
Now would this make a difference between a 2 deck shoe or a 6 deck shoe?

Yes the dealer always has to take another card until they reach a hard 17 or better. So yes, the 14 would have won if the player decided to stay on it

Basic chart says double down 11 against anything . Unless u count

Take insurance when the tc is +3
where can you get your basic strategy card
You can look online for basic strategy cards and just print one off.
Bro did i hear a turkey gobble?😂
How to get the strategy card
Thank you so much
.. cuz Im brand new and I am sick of that old ladies stare lol.. thank you man... you know where I can get a good copy of that card?
where can we find the basic strategy card you have on the screen
I took a picture with my phone and have my phone open at the table on the picture :)
Missing surrender. 11 vs. Ace is a hit against 6 decks. It’s a double against a single deck.
Good video!
Definitely the old Asian lady😂
😂😂
Anyone end with -2 on the first shoe?
This dude talks like a pimp from the 1970s 😂
I swear everytime I hit 15+ I bust
Asian lady 👀🤣
You dont need strategy. No matter how you play you will lose eventually.😅
But the accent tho the heavy slang yo you white
get a life
😂 I was thinking the same thing
So how does dealer hitting on soft 17 effect basic strategy?
NEVER PLAY WITH THE ASIAN ASSASSIN DEALER!! That's part of basic strategy, too.

Where can I download this strategy card ?
I still don't understand the chart thing he didn't even explain it in detail

Once you double down you can't take another card
yes, this gives house only 0.5% advantage, if you want to beat black jack, you need to count cards, play deviations and bet according to count.
Great video
Thank you.
I swear you read my mind wit the Asian lady comment.
🤣🤣
Thanks pretty much how I already play
