- I want to show you a quick video on how I install nickel alloy valve seats in panheads 1948-'65. From the factory, panheads come with brass seats. These don't really hold up with the gas they're selling these days. It eats away at the seats due to a high concentrate of alcohol and methanol. This is a quick video of how I install these seats in Harley heads.

I am a Machinist, That is a nice shop. You can tell a lot by how a shop is kept. I see a very organized and clean shop with the tools you need at each station in arms reach, that means you take pride in your work.

What I do not understand, why does he not use the fixture that holds the head to cut the valve seats and use it to press in the valve seats?

Sad that this is a dying industry. Within a generation there will be no more shops like this. Everything will be remove and replace,no longer rebuilt or custom.
