    Russian logistics are terrible for both military and civilian applications. Russian military has a far lower ratio of support to combat arms compared to western forces. They rely on older trucks and human labor instead of updated platforms and pallets. Russia fights, but their troops often go without.

      During their initial invasion as they approached Kyiv, many Russian heavy trucks suffered from tire failure due to the grift involved with the procurement of cheap Chinese heavy truck tires. Only bought enough to put tires on the trucks, then parked the trucks for years never moving them or upholding tire maintenance. They also didn't buy enough tires for replacements.

      When you get your news from sources like this you're pretty much clueless on everything. According to your sources Russia has been losing the war and has taken 1 3rd of Ukraine's territory with shovels. Russias war tactics are brutal .. they send in conscripts and meat shields with old equipment to weaken the lines then they send in the real soldiers. Ukraine's army is tiny compared to Russia they cannot win without NATO feet on the ground

    I've never understood why these guys call those who run russian industry 'the elite'. There's nothing elite about being a gangster who knew the right person that enabled them to buy an entire industry in russia for a few pence back in the early 90's. Why does that qualify them to be 'elite'?

    The whole Crimea thing is misunderstood because you have a lot of history geeks talking about it. The Russian people wanted the Crimean annexation to happen because of one thing... more beaches, more vacation destinations inside of Russia. Almost all upper-middle class or rich Russians live in Moscow or St Petersburg..... very cold places. Look at a map of Russia, even in Summertime, Russians have nowhere warm to go inside of Russia.

    Russian troops have taken complete control of the eastern city of Vuhledar, which Ukrainian forces have been defending since the beginning of Moscow’s full-scale invasion two and a half years ago.
    Ukraine's eastern military command confirmed on Wednesday that they had told the troops still fighting in parts of the Vuhledar to pull back to avoid becoming surrounded.
