Mac love your ability to stay positive and keep spirits up. Great example of a real recovery. Mostly controlled thought out.
There will always be the people that say should of done this should of done that but hindsight is 20/20, easy to say how you would of done it when you didn't and still much more professional of a recovery then some you see with bigger channels just sending shit and ending up on their sides and with the recovery car going to sleep as well because they rushed shit.
Saw your vid on the jeep track as well with the other cruiser on the side and was impressed with that recovery as well. Keep up the good work lads great content.

  • @anythingautoimports9550

Quick Tip - if you need to winch something UP out of a hole and you need leverage against the ground, grab your spare wheel off and run the cable over that. As you winch in it pulls the car up (provided wheel is taller than recovery point)
Disclaimer - not detracting from the awesome work all three lads did to safely get it done. And it may not have worked in that application.

Hey macca, when you were pulling Brady's bus sideways and it was digging that back left tyre in, you should've placed a spare tyre on its round under the rope as close to his car as possible, this then pulls the vehicle up and out.

Does no one use hi lift jacks any more? Once upon a time we would've jacked that up on a plate and pushed it off sideways to get the tyre out of the rut? For reference, and I am sure you know this, a 5 tonne strap isnt about the weight of the car, but the car+the mud you're trying to pull it from, anyway... Kudos to Macca's honesty for stating "this track looks fun, but I wouldn't do it in the wet". Top effort, surely was a costly effort for Brady.

Ripper episode lads!!! Loved it. I’m not trying to be the “should of done that” guy, a good little trick that I think may have helped at the bottom when trying to straighten him up, would have been to put his spare tyre parallel to and under the strap/rope near his end of the vehicle, help lift that back up and out of the mud. It’s easy to say it now when not in the heat of the moment, that was a massive effort.

Put the winch isolator on the earth, it I’ll have bugger all current going through the earth compared to it being on the positive side. The connections cause resistance which causes heat along with massive amp draw. Earth doesn’t ✌️
