I have a compression unit that you use for an hour a day. It’s a compressor and zip up pants that fill up with air from your toes to your hip. This moves the fluid from your body. Water walking in a pool helps. Don’t eat processed foods. Eat meat and fresh/frozen veggies. Keep moving. But no cures yet. I’ve had it way before they knew what it was. About 35 years. I’m 75. When you go to places like this use walkers with the seats. You can rest and if necessary someone can help you around. Or a motorized chair. Don’t stay home. Keep living.
I do too I ordered it from the tik tok shop and it works great. It is exactly like something they use after surgery except it also does your feet up to your knee It has 3 compression levels and it almost hurts a little but hurts so good if makes sense ?? It has been helping. Also I have the copper fit feet bands and they DO work. I bought on a whim and said they were 15$ I didn’t want to spend that much for two small bands but would do it again in fact I have to wash them so often I am wording 2 more pair because they DO work that good. I can not be in my feet with out them❤
Hi Kelly , I am an oncology nurse in the Flint area. We commonly have patients that experience lymphedema during and after cancer treatment. We refer our patients to a lymphedema specialist that is part of a therapy group where you would get physical and occupational therapy. It’s a sub specialty. The therapist will work with the patient to teach exercises and massage to help alleviate the edema. This is through the McLaren Health System. Hope this helps!!
I really love that you support and promote other small businesses. That's what the world needs more of, people supporting each other. Thank you for taking us with you and showing us all kinds of cool finds.
I am also so very sorry that your mother is having some problems with their health. But I think even just sitting there and watching all of the stuff made her quite happy. And she also had some visits from some friends
Kelly, goggle lymphedema treatment. I am a certified lymph specialist, but have retired. The treatment is amazing, pain free and very successful. it is a combination of manual massage, stretching exercises for range of motion, wrapping the area with short stretch bandages and using a pump that has a sleeve for the leg or arm, there are chambers that fill with air and then release it. It's called a sequential pump and medicare and insurance cover it. Also, look for practitioners in your area. If they are certified, they are on a list. There is no cure for it but the above treatments allow you to live your life. Also, they will teach your Mom and/or you how to wrap and apply the leg sleeve at home so she doesn't have to go to therapy forever. Prayers and love to you all and healing thoughts for your Mama.
My heart goes out to your mom not being able to do what she loves. Hugs to her and you and hoping she finds some relief. Fun video Kelly!! Jenny is always alot of laughs. Great finds!! I never got the time to walk around and look but now I know what I saved money not buying!!, lol. Funny Kathy and Paula bought from my booth (Kendra’s Korner) and she bought the sheep basket and the rusty sifter from me 😁. Thanks ladies.
Oh I understand how your Mom feels. I have Scleroderma and have trouble breathing & it's affecting other organs, too. I get so exhausted. My mind thinks I can still do what I could do before but my body is saying " No Ma'am sit your ass down" I make the best of it though. One day at a time. GOD IS GOOD 🙏🏽 He's the ultimate healer and I pray that he heals your Mom & restores her health completely. Amen
So sorry to hear about your mom. How does she feel about using a wheel chair? I know how frustrating it is when our bodies don't work the way we want and need them to be. How nice that you met fans and such nice people! Nice people attract nice people!
I have lymphedema. Strict diet control has helped my swelling the most. High protein, low carb with plenty of water. I also take a diuretic and use compression socks.
COULD NOT GET OVER ALL OF THE PEOPLE YOU ALL RAN INTO THAT ARE FANS!!!! PRETTY COOL!!!! Speaking of, you know I'm a FAN when my husband had a HIP REPLACEMENT TODAY, AND I'm ON HERE THIS EVENING!!!! NOW THAT'S A FAN!!!! And as ALWAYS, you all found some GREAT STUFF!!!! As far as "LYMPHEDEMA" is concerned. What I know about it is, there are actually "TREATMENT CENTERS" that the person needs to go to. "Home Remedies" DO NOT WORK!!!! It is a VERY SERIOUS and VERY TRICKY DISEASE OF THE VEINS!!!!
I was there Saturday morning about 10am. Grabbed a yellow painted chair planter with some violets in it for my front porch and a cute basket for $10. So sorry to hear your mom wasn't feeling well. My mom suffered with that as well. ❤
Love your trip to the flea market. Here in Ohio we have a great flea market in Springfield Ohio. Since I live in Columbus, Ohio I have to say boo to the anarbor sign
Give your Mom a hug. Speaking from recent experience, have your Mom go to physical therapy. It is so helpful. Also, there is massage therapist that is trained for lymphoma. That is also amazing. Depending on where the lymphoma is, Mom can wear compression socks or arm sleeves. Also, find her a support group. Having someone to talk to who is going through or gone through helps 100%. Please let her know she is not alone.
Hoping your mom gets help with her lymphedema. My mom had in house drainage therapy that included manual lymphatic massage and later with "boots" that were electronic. She also uses wraps & compression stockings. Glad to see you & Jenny finding treasures. I love hearing Jenny's laugh. So much fun.
Lymph massages, sorta like a regular massage but it's different. I got a few when I was going through chemo. Very helpful. I hope you get some good advice in these comments and your mom finds some comfort. 🙏🏻😄
Love those ladders! all the things that you got looked so nice. You have great style you ladies make me laugh. Great jokes. I hope your mom does feel better. Praying for her.
I love Montana. It’s absolutely gorgeous there. I can get there in about 11 hours. We have relatives in Idaho so once we are there, it’s not far to Montana because they are in the panhandle.
Look at all the people that you see at these places. All people that follow you or come to your shop. That’s amazing and you should be so proud of ur self. I know I am. Keep going girl.
My gosh, the best thing you ever did was add Jenny to your show. She is so dog, gone, funny and quick minded. I would love to meet her 1 day maybe if I ever get sick of California enough, I'll come live over there. You guys are so funny together.
How about a rollator walker with a seat for your mom? They wouldn't roll too easy on grass but at an antique mall she could roll it along and when she got tired she could sit on it for a while. When she somewhat recovered, she could get up and go again. My mom used one and it worked well. You can find them at the Salvation Army or Goodwill.
Lympedema is something I have lived with for a long time. Try and find a nurse that specializes in lymphedema. Also, try wound care centers that may treat it. Another idea is contact a major, large medical center and check to see if they have a nurse specialist or wound clinic. If you happen upon a good vascular surgeon, that would be a good start too. Good luck, will be thinking of you.
I love this flea market, so much great stuff. Kendra alone has super great stuff and that junk guy that worked with you, Wow you could find anything there. Ive been looking for old flatware too to make garden and plant stakes. Oh I love ladders, what a great price! Jenny cracks me up. Ive found tea pots painted at Good but they want too much and they are never on sale. Great video, I hope to get to an event one year. I visit Wisconsin often, so not too far!
Happy Mother's Day ladies! Give your mom a big hug for me, Kelly. I know she's precious to you. My mom would have been 83 on the 10th. We lost her 9 years ago. There's nothing like a flea mkt on a beautiful day. Thanks for taking us along! I guess my fav thing was those unique tables Average Joe made. I'd definitely get one of them. It reminded me of a tree branch.
Tell your mom to go see a lymphedema specialist. They show you how to use massage to reduce swelling. I also have a pump and a sleeve for my leg that I can put on it. I wear compression stockings. Also, I have a bed that I can raise the foot of it and it helps to keep the fluid from gathering at my ankles.
Just want to say a big thank you for the item I purchased from you. Such a sweet note, so carefully wrapped and received in a good time frame. Appreciate it. ❤
Thank you for another great shopping event. I'm so sorry that your mother couldn't explore all of the shops, but it is good that she got out and didn't sit at home. She's lucky to have you to take her out. I hope and pray that she gets to feeling much better.
Isn't it great to meet people who watch your show? I noticed so many comments show concern for your mother. I truly hope she finds some relief. I think everyone is in love with your mom.
I’m so sorry your mom has that issue. I pray they can give her some relief. I should have written my ideas down. 😝. You found so many wonderful things. I found so many wonderful things also had great ideas to pass along but yeah, brain fog is real. What a fun shopping trip. 😊❤
I have my Granny’s front glass door knobs off her home. I had them put on my entry closet doors. And I told my sons when this house is sold please take them off and keep the door knobs for y’all. And Jennie is a hoot.
I always love to see what you gals find and the great ideas you come up with. Kelly, if you change the texture of the bust of the little girl, please show it! I have one just like it and might do the same thing. Please tell your Mom to Google her condition and she can get all kinds of ideas to help her. Bless her sweet heart, aging is not for whimps! I am 67 and learning as I go myself. I don't know her name but Jesus does so I will be praying for Kelly's Momma! Sending hugs from Texas! 😘
Lymphatic massage is a game changer. They also have some leg wraps that you put on your legs that in flate and deflate. Definetly ask a massage therapist or doctor. It's not a cure but it's managment. It's helps with blood flow, pain mgmt. Not everyone does this type of massage thou. Make sure they are trained. And I know your mom is a proud, strong, lady but sometimes in order to go places it's worth getting a wheel chair. My mom hated the idea but you know what doing it a few times we bring if needed and if not we don't use it. Her thought is she can miss the whole thing or just learn to enjoy in a different way. Believe me it's brought us more joy and memories then oh that was sad she couldnt walk that far. 😢
OOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH what a haul! Love everything youins bought! I can hardly believe you got both of the ladders for$ 20! I seen sooo many tables I just adore! My heart goes out to your Mom! Please tell her to hang in there and absolutely rest when your body says rest! I surely miss seeing herand listening to her ideas and inspirations for items! Please tell her for me that God places her on my heart alot.and I am continuing to pray for her! Thank you Kelly and Jenny for yet another awesome video! Will be looking for your next one and excited to see what youins have created! God Bless youins all❤🙏❤️🙏❤️🙏
Loving this video. Only wished I lived closer. We do have a lot of flea markets in Lancaster, Pa ., but yours looked awesome! And of course, you have Jenny! Who is a hoot! Thanks for taking us along.
Hello Kelly, my husband and I took a trip to the Crater of Diamonds in Arkansas. We stopped in Lenore City, Tennessee. We stopped off at a thrift store called Karms. They had amazing things with amazing prices. I told my husband I have to tell Kelly, she would love this store. Well our car was packed with camping equipment and there was little room. However we managed to buy a few things. Lol love your videos and your amazing ideas. Thought I would share.
Wow… what a great flea market. I saw so many things I wanted! I’m so sorry your Mom wasn’t up to spending the day junking. It’s really important to listen to your body. When you need to rest, do it. Her body is still healing. It can take a bit of time too. I’m two years post breast cancer treatments and I still get that nasty fatigue. I never feel guilty for napping during the day. I’m not lazy, I’m still healing. My Mom has lymphedema in her right arm. Let me tell you, it’s not fun. She said it can be painful having that much fluid building up. She had really good success with massage therapy. There are physical therapists that are specifically trained with dealing with lymphedema. My mom had to invest $700 in a special custom made sleeve and a glove to wear during the day. She even has to wear what looks like a spacesuit, hooked up to a machine that does the massaging for her. Have your mom speak to her doctor about taking the necessary steps to helping her. It can be a horrible situation to live with. I myself had mild lymphedema after my partial mastectomy. Thank God, with learning how to do the massage techniques myself, it’s gone away. I will continue to pray for your Mom. She’s so sweet and she’s been through so much. Love you Kelly. Your videos are always such a joy to watch.
Sending prayers for your mom. I see a nurse commented on treatment. Do look into it. Looking for mom to make a spectacular comeback! Jenny is a hot mess and we love her. Great trip.
@ 27:22 that was my grandmother's toaster....I was about 4 or five years old in 1947 or 1948. The toaster was shiney and new then... and made yummy toast from her homemade bread Can almost smell it. Yum I'm m now 80 having been born September of 1943❤
I put plants in old metal lunch boxes that have the long roundish top. The ones your grandpa probably carried to work😉I painted them and sold them last summer. The place I bought them closed down. They had bunches of them.
My friends mom gets lymphedema. She goes to physical therapy and has therapy specifically for it. They also provided her with compression sleeves and compression stockings to help with it as well. She says the compression wear really helps a lot !!
In the 1948 thru 1958 + year's our large city swimming pool in Cleveland Ohio 's Zoo had baskets just like that on shelves and they had a basket number on then and we got a tag that we punned to our swimsuits with the same number...our clothes and shoes went in the basket and when we were done swimming picked up our things, dressed and made the trek home... We walked everywhere in those days
I love you, your friends, your mom and your videos! I live in Rochester Hills and thrift at a lot of the stores you do too! I’m going to keep an eye out for you! I see a road trip to Dryden in my future! 💖Thank you for introducing me to the Davisburg Flea Market!
Forgot to add with my comments, those plants you never heardxabout was Dusty Miller. I grew themvthis year from seed. A first for me. I was proud of myself. My good friend sent me the seeds from CA.
Take that old cast iron rake, put it on a board or just hanging on the wall of the house.Or wherever your garden is you do your gardening for potting plants and hang your gardening tools on there and your gloves.Yeah, I would love to have that on my back.Porch that would be lovely but i'm too old to do that anymore
For lymphedema, I've heard that elevating the afflicted area and applying vibration helps, like possibly a vibrating massager. I heard this from a man who had lymphedema in the groin area. He loved to ride motorcycles, and he found that the vibration of the motorcycle while riding caused the swelling to go down. It baffled his doctor, as to why he got relief from riding, but came to the conclusion that it was the heavy vibration of the bike that shook down the excess fluid.

I love Montana. It’s absolutely gorgeous there. I can get there in about 11 hours. We have relatives in Idaho so once we are there, it’s not far to Montana because they are in the panhandle.
This was in Davisburg Michigan😊
Look at all the people that you see at these places. All people that follow you or come to your shop. That’s amazing and you should be so proud of ur self. I know I am. Keep going girl.
My gosh, the best thing you ever did was add Jenny to your show. She is so dog, gone, funny and quick minded. I would love to meet her 1 day maybe if I ever get sick of California enough, I'll come live over there. You guys are so funny together.
Have your Mom get a specialized PT for her legs. Wraps work and good Dr. that specializes...really great results! You guys are a great team! ❤❤❤
How about a rollator walker with a seat for your mom? They wouldn't roll too easy on grass but at an antique mall she could roll it along and when she got tired she could sit on it for a while.
I like to epoxy glass knobs to decorative glass plates to make lids for glass jars or vases.
Prayers for your Mother❤️. I enjoyed shopping while painting my laundry room 😀
I loved that tiny rabbit you put back down
I’m with Jenny! I love corn dogs😊

Great trip.
That strainer makes a great Chandelier Strainer!!! Love to have that one!!! 😛

DO NOT LIKE THE NEW CRAZE OF CEMENT PAINTING ANYTHING
I put plants in old metal lunch boxes that have the long roundish top. The ones your grandpa probably carried to work😉I painted them and sold them last summer. The place I bought them closed down. They had bunches of them.
LOVED the opening Jenny! It made me laugh!! Great video as always.
I loved these ladies. They were all awesome. Cracking up.
My friends mom gets lymphedema. She goes to physical therapy and has therapy specifically for it. They also provided her with compression sleeves and compression stockings to help with it as well. She says the compression wear really helps a lot !!
I watched the video in anticipation of seeing a Flea Circus and Nada! What gives!!😂🇨🇦

Those bushel baskets are perfect for fall mums! I especially love the tall ones…wish I could find those!

I just can't stop watching all your shows!!! Yup I'm addicted! You girls are all awesome!!
I usually go to Davisbug every Spring and Fall. Missed the Spring one. It's a fun show!! Hope your Mom feels better. ❤
