You are making progress 😊👍 Still my idea of changing your camera perspective would make the control of stance and moves that are going wrong atm way easier. Maybe thinking about a FlyMount Aero.
Othe than that: Respect for your endurance! 🤘 We are all gonna make it!

Got a new mount for my week in Tiree so looking forward to seeing some new angles from my weeks riding 🙌

I forgot how good the visibility was on those Cabrinhas.

enough wind this time. Go downwind for a quick moment to get on foil much easier, then when the foil rises you need to level it off to not stall it.

    Hi,
    just a bit of advice:
Everytime you have a bit of speed, it seems you re going upwind, then it slows you down.
When you feel a gust, aim a bit for downind, try to rotate the board flat on the water in this direction, push on your front leg to keep the board flat, and keep your hips flat too.
Remove those harness lines, it doesnt help you , and avoid to pump the wing nor the board, it s very difficult for a beginner to have an efficient pumping.

Excellent advice! Remember too that where your front hand is on that handle helps determine how much draft you'll catch with the wing - too far forward and you'll choke off your power. Foot placement could be an issue when you're trying to pump onto foil (I think you're weighting the front maybe just a wee bit too much), but to this person's point, let the speed of bearing off drive you up onto foil, then optimal foot placement (and board pumping) will come with time and practice. Good luck!

Definitely looks like you're making progress! Are you doing this all on your own? I remember when I first got into whitewater, trying to learn to roll a kayak by myself. It made such a huge difference to have a couple of bros to guide me.

Doing on my own at the moment as my local wing crew are pretty good and I need a few more skills before I can play with them. Getting there slowly but due to my cheap mismatched budget set up then unfortunately it is taking me longer than expected. Been a fun journey so far though 😊

Not sure how cold it is there, but you might have a bit more pumping-power / control without the gloves. As soon as it's half bearable, I ditch them... And like StefanWelker said, go downwind a bit to pick up some speed.

Remember to curse very loudly when you fall, so your nose and lungs can fill with water when you hit it. If you need tips let me know... 😆
