Kind of surprised that Chris guy was fired, sure it was 2016 but he was objectively correct about GW's management's feelings towards how the hobby needs to change, seems the issue was he said it out loud, though maybe in 2016 they hadn't quite gotten to the mentality of today where they just openly embrace the hate.
That’s amazing to me, GW sales a tabletop game and doesn’t offer a space to play it, but actively shits on local gaming stores, that have gaming tables, with inventory allocation, talk about can’t see the forest for the trees
From a GW perspective I see what you're saying about not sending people to other places but a lot of places do it for other games especially in MtG circles. My main LGS will pretty much get anything for you if you ask but there are a few smaller stores around that will tell you other places to try if they're out of stock but I think they're all doing it so it's mutually beneficial.
I just realized you hit 16k before the end of the year/start of the next year!!!! Congratulations Exile!!! You've really found a place to belong and I am so happy to have you.
19:30 This is bad form no matter how you turn it. Especially as a manager you just don't do things like this. It is your job to create a positive athmosphere and encourage customers, and you won't do that buy making random jabs and insults - especially in the direction of potentially making a child cry.
In fairness, documenting unprofessional & abusive behavior, particularly in regards to retail is not only ok, it should be encouraged. It is the wrong idea, i think, to try to "resolve" the issue in situ. Essentially, if you make a respectful & reasoned case, with documentation, you have presented the higher ups with feedback. It is up to them how to deal with it. I also do not approve of snitches or threatening/insulting comments, but what was done with regards to chris was professional and, frankly, appropriate when a "im not here to make friends" guy lets a position of authority go to his head and starts compromising the objective of the business.
“Age of Sigmar more popular” heresy of the highest order. ;) personally I find the love for the old world strong and it’s lore makes Sigmar look like it’s written in crayon. However fantasy was really starved of new releases back in the day as it was all marines, love the new sculpts, great for conversion bits.
I feel the same way, written in crayon, great analogy. I feel like you can't have an opinion about AOS that isn't positive or else you will get scorned.
For Armies on Parade 2015 the GW Store Manager Midland Western Australia 🇦🇺 won the Competition and 2 shop assistants got second and third respectively not one normal entrant non GW employee won any of the prizes 😂😂😂
Ye over advocating for other groups can be a little cringe, Just look the Meep episode of Doctor Who. Even with being trans I fell about laughing at the end and cringed through out.
“We just chilled out, watched tv, ate some junk food and went to sleep” the perfect way to do New Years Day

The perfect handling of that is “would you like to leave me your name and phone # so we can call you as soon as it’s up for preorder?”

I would totally buy first from a guy who told me where to buy, even from competition. That's so COOL.

~5:00 What scares me is that the votes of people like that counts as much as mine :D
