The derby distance needs to be cut to 10 furlongs we import all the stallions on our best farm from the USA and they hardly run over 10 furlongs in the USA we in Jamaica talk a lot Abt tradition but we have stopped importing horses from England derby 10 furlongs st leger 9 and 25 yards and Guinness 8 if I owned a horse who is a miler but doesn't stay I will try at 10 furlongs but never ever at 12 furlongs that would be ridiculous
