i started off with a used squier strat from a pawn shop as my first guitar, and think i'm ready to move on to a telecaster style guitar. this one sounds almost just like an actual fender tele so i just might have to cop one 😍🤙
I love this channel, I just got my glarry a week ago. I'm making an EVH replica. These guitar are pretty good out of the box . It plays better than my 2 squires.
Awesome!
How about Harley Benton?
With enough practice you can make even the least expensive guitars sound amazing. Great playing 🤘
Thank you for all you do! I've watched a few of your reviews
Love your abilities and your care and candor😊
Thank you so much!
Enjoyed the video.
Cool! Thanks for watching. I appreciate it.
Hey Phill
I wouldn’t have hit the “buy it now” button on eBay except that it was $63 USD plus tax (free shipping) and that I uncovered a bunch of aftermarket tele parts that I could use to upgrade this without spending extra money. Your review and tips makes me feel better about giving the stock parts a chance before resorting to the upgrades. 😎🎸
Same dude, I think we got the same deal however this is my first guitar so I don't know what to do with it yet.
awesome video my friend! I just bought on and ive never played a guitar in my life! im 53 years old and i have always wanted to play! thank you again
Awesome! Never too late to start. Keep me posted on your progress.

Bought one a while ago, great guitar, especially for learning both to play and mod. Only one thing - they are so poular you need to have patience as they are always out of stock. Took 8 months to get mine in UK (Ordered in Sep, arrived in Feb).
Sounds great!! Thanks Richard you rock bro!!
Thanks Brian
How did you get the rhythm guitar sounds in this vid during the demo. Where they the GTL? Sounded amazingly humbucker-ish. Guess the guys that say a Tele can do anything are correct!
Definitely will investigate this company and their products. Great playing by the way. Keep that up!
Thanks!
I just ordered mine!! Can't wait to play it!! And after watching reviews like this one, decided to get one! Thanks!
Awesome. Hope you like it.
I really appreciate the musicality of your solos. I need to hear more.
Thanks for the compliment. You should check out my new CD Tiger vs Dragon. Lots and lots of very musical solos. Wall to wall guitar melodies. It's on Amazon and everywhere else. Thanks for listening.
Hi Mr Shredder would you recommend this one good for beginners I love Telecasters and thinking of getting this as a first guitar?
Get a Leo Jaymz on Amazon. They are much better. Here's the link: amzn.to/3OWBgHg
Nice solo RJ. Sounds sweet. Great review as well!
Thanks
Sounds amazingly unreal good and the finish is beautiful.
Sometimes I think about buying their entire electric guitar inventory (18 guitars) for around $2000. That's less then the cost of one Gibson LesPaul... set them up then flip em but keep the ones I like.. The sad part is some people buy these guitars with the Glarry 20watt amp and think it's going too sound as good as your video, and we both know that's not going too happen
Of course the Glarry amp is not going to sound the same.
I just bought a Line 6 Spider 240 MKII before investing in a new guitar, as they've been out of stock for quite a while and it's the first they've been back. It arrives Saturday. Looking into some budget-friendly guitars. Thanks for this. Been playing on my wife's Epiphone Special USA for about fourteen years. Just to let you know, I know nothing about guitars or how they're set up. Thought about taking the LP to the local guitar shop to get it set up and routine maintenance. So, thanks for your vids on these budget-friendly guitars. I'd like to get a few. Not a "shred" or "lead" per se; I'm just a casual player. I play piano professionally. But, COVID has been putting a lot of things into perspective for me.
That's great. I love my Line 6 amp. Yeah budget friendly guitars are better then ever these days.
@@thebaldshredder Hey there, I love that your channel is slow but growing. Keep up the good work. One thing I've noticed is that not a lot of people talk about strings for guitars and the different types to use for each. LP, Strat, Tele...For instance, I can't remember the model, but there was a Jackson I played on long time ago that had an LP body but a wicked strat head stock. Never knew what strings to put on it.
Hmm, interesting thought. Honestly I've never heard people talk about putting a different type of strings on an LP versus a strat. Most people have a certain brand that they prefer and a specific gauge. I've been using Ernie Ball Super Slinkys forever and I use them on every type of guitar. But maybe this actually something that some guys do? I'll have to look into it. Thanks.
My 2 favorite colors 4 a telecaster is butterscotch blonde with a black pickguard and sunburst finish with a black pickguard with a maple neck.
I bought one of their Strat GST models and after doing a set up on it, it Rocks!!! I highly recommend Glarry!
Yeah after a little setup, these are great!
Hows the neck thickness at the head?
@@BOBANDVEG Well for me it feels good. My hands are average in size. But... This is my first Strat in 35yrs. I had a Squire Strat in High School in the early 80's but sold it in 1987. I don't remember much about it other than it was red. I don't have anything else to compare this Glarry Strat neck to.
@@earthquakemagoon2505 thanks
@@thebaldshredder hey Rich, hows the neck thickness?
Glarry has been really putting out some Great guitars for the price ! They have some really cool looking finishes. That one Looks Beautiful and sounds Great Richard ! Really enjoyed You Bringing The Power to that Ballad 🎸🎶
Thanks Steve!
I've played some incredible affordable guitars that were solid. It sounds good in the video.
Thanks
Thank you for your review i have been debating on the other Solid body telecaster. I just started back playing.
I also just reviewed another Glarry tele if you want to check it out.
I changed out the cap to a orange drop, put some brass saddles on it and a tusq nut and it sounds awesome
Just orderd mine in green as I’m a newbie and didn’t want to shell out big bucks at first for my first guitar so I’ll learn on this then upgrade once I get better u make it sound amazing💯👍👍👍
Thanks! These guitars are a great first guitar. Good value for the money. Good luck!
I think this finish looks even nicer than on the picture. Good review man!
I agree. Thanks!
Awesome review and demo Rich!!! I’m certain every guitar you play, you make sound epic!! 🤘🤘💯💯
Thanks Dan! 🤘
That's a killer sounding guitar. Love the look too. Great demo man! 🎸🤟
Thanks buddy
I am honestly surprised at how good that guitar sounds and looks to play just as well!!! I may have to get one for the road!!!
Yeah surprising it's pretty decent.
I think this is a matter of preference but I bought a thin line and the neck was so good that I just ordered another one just to put the neck on a Fender.
I bought on new via eBay for £45 shipping included 18 months ago. Amazing value for money.
Great review
Thanks!
I just picked one up for $50 there was a coupon for $13 off. I actually believe the neck is birch but there is conflicting information on the website because it says both birch and maple on the website.
Mi8ne arrived with a broken pickup selector switch, scratches and a couple of gouges on the headstock. Looks like they sent me a defective used guitar. They are not responding to my email.
When did you email them? Give them at least 24 hours to respond, and if it's the weekend they probably won't respond until Monday, and also remember the time difference.
Mine was perfect,got lucky,ty
I want this for Christmas.
Getting free guitars leaves folks wondering how objective your review actually is. Your playing sounds great, but I'll bet you can make most guitars sound great. Anyhoo- I bought one these transparent yellow GTL's / The neck was straight, no sharp frets. Finish is flawless. (except pick-guard) It looks great. The pick-ups are good as well as the tone, vol and switch. My only complaint are the strings. I replaced them#9 D'Addario's/. I suspect my guitar may have been a return, as the pick guard was rather scuffed for a "new" guitar. The strings were shiny at the frets, as if they had some hours of use on them. Overall, with new strings I am happy with the Glarry-especially considering I paid $68.40 delivered from an eBay vendor. Fifty years ago, I paid about the same for a no-name guitar that looked great but was torture to play. My twelve-year-old fingers suffered as the sunburst no-name had the worst high action ever. Back then I knew nothing about guitar construction, repairs or modifications. This GTL is a dream in comparison. It's a good guitar.
Nice demo!
Thanks
I have a lot of guitars from very cheap to very expensive, but I didn't have a Tele, so I just ordered one of these. Like most of my guitars, odds are high I'm gonna mod the crap out of this. I got it in Sunset for $65 on eBay.
The thing is Glarry sent you this guitar and they could have taken time to fix things such as sharp fret edges and fret heights. I think it would be much better to buy one of these cheap guitars anonymously and then do the review.
Possible but extremely unlikely. Their factory and techs are all in China. They don't have techs at warehouses here. And biggest indicator: Prior to this I bought a $59 Glarry strat from eBay. It had the exact same fret work and setup. You can find that video on my channel. I'm sure some of the higher end companies might do this. Thanks for watching.
Oh come on man it's not too hard to break out a fingernail file and file down some frets if you have to...
You should review the Maton MS500 replica that Pango started making this year
Do you mind if I ask what your signal chain is for this recording?
Guitar to Line 6 interface to computer using Line 6 POD Farm software.
Great review cheers, what a bargain.
Thanks
This guitar with a set of Alnico v p/u’s for like 30 bucks great guitar, I keep mine as a 5 string open g for stones and ZZ Top open g songs.
Sounds like a les Paul at the end very impressive
Thanks
I have one coming in the next few days. Paid $54 on Amazon after a sale and instant coupon. I don’t need it, just wanted to see what a $54 guitar is like.
Received it and after a couple hours of work it is definitely a playable guitar. It was $54 so I hold nothing against it, but the neck had zero finish and needed more sanding so I did that, the nut was broken so I replaced it with an old one I had in a drawer, the output jack needed one of the wires re-soldered and the pickup cover on the neck pickup had to be attached because it had fallen off of the pickup. After these things I polished the frets, put new strings on and did a setup and it is definitely a real guitar. Is it is as nice as my real telecaster? Not even in the same universe, but that comparison shouldn't even be made. For what it is I still can't believe it was so cheap. I am tempted to spend money upgrading it but I think I'm just going to keep it as-is for reference.
I have reviewed a Bass there not to bad for the price but the feebies Rock😎👍
I have the sawtooth low end bass. It's awesome. 0 setup. I was playing super freak within 5 mins of opening the box lol
Sweet guitar dude! Can you do insane shred sweeps on it?
Probably
I have several Glarry guitars. Overall I like them. However my tele-wannabe weighs a ton,so I rarely play it.
That huge gap between the the pickguard and bridge plate is distracting lol . Other than that it kinda looks good
play hail to the king avenged sevenfold with it
I've owned several Glarry guitars in the past and none of them were playable right out of the box. The last one I had was so bad I actually had to shim the neck. So if they sent you this guitar they probably had a luthier set it up so it was near perfect, and the way you praise this guitar I wouldn't be surprised if you got paid too doo the review
Watch my review of the blue Glarry strat and tell me again that they paid me. LOL
@@thebaldshredder WOW !! Thanks for the speedy reply. I doo watch a lot of your reviews and they're way better then mine and I envy your playing skills. Have a great weekend. 👍👍😁😁
Thanks dude I appreciate that. But no they never paid me anything other than sending me those guitars. And since my video on the blue guitar they haven't hit me up for anything. Thanks for watching I really appreciate it.
CNZ Audio price is $159-$209.
I’d like to see someone compare the Glarry to the Donner
If I ever get a Donner tele, I'll definitely do that.
@@thebaldshredder I have the sunburst tele I love it
What? No clean sounds??
Love that guitar' ❤ i can i have that? Hahaha
I’m a lefty and that guitar is selling for $109 for a lefty
Yeah lefties get the shaft too often when it comes to guitars. There should be lefty versions at the same price.
I never knew there were lefty options! Learned to play upside down & can't unlearn it lol.
$89.99 not $89 lol😂 (in other words ninety bucks)
Had one of those pieces of crap.
They probably sent that particular guitar out to a professional luthier to set it up before they sent it to you because i got one ande there was so much fall away on the last 5 frets that you couldnt drop the action where a guy would want to because if you did the last 5 frets were still to high and the strings were sitting on the 1-17th frets. Junk, junk cheap chinese crap.
It's garbage no matter what!!!!!
Whatever you say mister expert 😆
I am from the future. I just bought one simply for a builder, it was cheaper than a prefabricated body and neck. I PAID 67.00
How was it boxed? I ordered a Monoprice and they only put it in the one guitar box, and it came cracked all the way down the body.
