This video aged well
Well... I don't think we'll have to worry about hearing him do the same voice any more
I just realized that, despite having the same voice, Archer and Bob sound different. They have different vocabularies and vocal patterns. Archer pretending to be Bob doesn't sound like Bob, somehow? 2:46
I wish I could show this to everyone who thinks Rick and Morty can’t survive without roiland
Your video's description aged like milk
Mark Hamill is also one if the best voice actors with many voices
Now Justin is sentenced to *1000 YEARS DUNGEON!*
The discription aged like milk.
Sorry but I have to mention Andy Serkis on this. Not only is he amazing at giving distinctive voices and personalities to animated characters, but he also does that in live action movies. I remember watching an interview where the girl interviewing him asked him to answer every question with the voice of a different character, and this dude did it with no problem. Hell, he can even manage to pretend to have a convesation with other three of his characters without missing a beat!
Patrick Warburton’s voices are all very similar and the characters themselves are pretty similar but none of them are connected to just one character because of how iconic they each manage to be in their own right
Justin ain't got nothin on Dee Bradley Baker.
Seth MacFarlane voices a lot characters on Family Guy and a lot sound the same. Peter and Roger for example.
They did a joke where Dr. Hartman and Carter Pewterschmidt (Lois' Dad) had a conversation together and didn't realize they had the same voice.
I've got the feeling that that making fun of Justin Roiland for being a talentless hack is going to be a lot more popular in the coming days due to certain circumstances, but I've honestly been thinking this for years. He is incapable of doing any voice that doesn't either sound like Morty or Rick. I'd argue that even his Rick voice is basically just his normal voice but with more rambling.
Im from Portugal and reminds me of some "voice actors" they use the same voice in almost everything theyre in and the sad thing is there aint that many voice actors in certain shows over here and its sad that the person who is constantly hired is always doing the same shitty voice and since some lines in shows are regular conversations or stuff with similar plots you will have no idea where that voice line actually came from and often that voice doesnt even fit the character design
i'm not even a professional voice actor yet i find it hilarious that i have a broader range as opposed to a guy who works for television.
2:31 then there's Patrick Warburton, lol
Rick and Morty fans don't know the concept of criticism
Rick: “Yes, Morty, I know the caveman concept of criticism because every d-bag douchebag on this floating rock is a critic.”
To be fair, you have to have a high IQ-
3:26 This bit was actually funny.
Would’ve been a lot funnier if Justin didn't do the oopsie.
One of the worst things about Justin's acting is his constant stuttering
This aged like fine wine…
yup 😮💨😮💨😮💨
Dee Bradley Baker. In the Ben 10 franchise, he already voices a wide range of Alien creatures, most notable examples being Stinkfly, Swampfire, Humongousaur, Big Chill, Chromastone, Spidermonkey or Goop.
guy from youtube judges a voice actor behind one of the biggest shows in history. must be true. even gives advice lol
Welp, guess AS is gonna have to find a new voice actor for half the cast of R&M
5:31 Bojack Horseman got beaten by one of Rick and Morty’s most annoying episodes. I don’t care about these awards either, but HOW??
I love when I find out a character is a certain actor and I had no idea it was them.
Late to the party, but the best voice actor I can think of who does "one voice, but sounds different because they understand character and can act" has gotta be Patrick Warburton. Think of the contrast between Kronk, Brock Samson, and Joe Swanson, and you'll maybe understand. They all more or less use the same voice, but Patrick does a good job of making you forget that.
"just try something new"
*Looks at his wife* well honey, you heard the man
Hey, don't forget Coach McGuirk for H. Jon Benjamin. Same voice, but a different personality from Bob AND Archer.
and then there's just patrick warburton as patrick warburton
Justin Roiland fanboys: wow! He voices so many characters
Matt Stone and Trey Parker: hold my cheesy poofs
TJ Miller is this in a nutshell. Every character he plays sounds the exact same, and they're all the same bland stoner or emo nothingness.
You’re forgetting about his role in the Emoji Movie, but okay.
@@Gourune I mean, Gene technically does kinda fall into the latter territory. He is literally a meh emoji.
@@jeremyusreevu237 Still was a great movie though, a friend of mine has 8 copies of it on DVD.
description aged like milk
Dude from bob’s burgers has done tons of voices that sound alike. The devil from venture brothers.
Remember:
Rick and Morty won an Emmy over the penultimate episode of Bojack
...............
That's not what penultimate means. It means second to last. I get your point, though. Stupid piece of sh*t was a masterpiece and is probably better than pickle rick idk I don't watch Rick and Morty.
@@Xavier17.5 I was talking about "The View From Halfway Down", the penultimate episode of Bojack which lost to "The Vat of Acid Episode". Not that any of the awards matter but sh*t
1:15 SPITTIN FAX
2:10-2:22 Wait Billy West plays ALL those characters? I didn't know that lol 10:09a.m. 3/1/2023
It's impressive that he voiced 3 main characters and I somehow never noticed
Dee bradly baker is the best example of a voice actor being able to do the same character and make it work. His voice acting on the clone wars is amazing because he can actually make the clones sound different. The bad batch is honestly really impressive when it’s just them on screen cause they actually sound different!
Plus he does animal sounds better than most
Yes! I also made a comment on dee.
@@Lutherstrode17492 oh yeah I forgot about that!
He voiced Number 4 from KND
Love his avatar characters also
Wait…
TOM KENNY. THE SPONGEBOB DUDE. VOICED ICE KING
I was surprised when I learned just now he voiced Edwardo.
If Justin Rolland’s a one trick pony, then Brandon Rodgers is a point one pony, because in the words of one of his characters, he’s the same asshole he woke up as, but I still think he’s a great actor, just like I think Justin Rolland’s a better actor than he is as a world builder/ writer.
Justin’s writing blossoms when he does something completely different than what he normally does. Like the wall segments of Solar Opposites is genuinely the best part of that show.
@@Gourune or how evil Morty is the one part of Rick and Morty that will always be good, while the rest of the show will continue to be mediocre, way too meta for most peoples’ taste, and lacking of any sort of character growth what so ever.
@@greygaston1263 I really hope season 6 focuses more on the story/drama since that’s when the show is at its best. Like literally Ricklantis Mixup is the best episode.
Mr Frundles was the point in the show where I was like, "yep, he's ran outta jokes"
The only time Justin has ever done a decent voice acting job that didn't sound like Rick or Morty, was in Invincible as the jock that gets turned into a cyborg.
I also forgot about Lemongrab, great role too.
You mean muthafuckin Doug Chestin😂
@@Lutherstrode17492 Yeaah thats the dude lol
@@ImCroozy Justin’s a shitty person and all, but his delivery of that line was perfect😂
Dee Bradley Baker. Any time an animal makes a noise in a cartoon that isn’t just a stock sound effect, it’s almost guaranteed to be him. He has played Appa and Captain Rex, the legend.
Well I think it's safe to say we wont be seeing or hearing justin for a very long
4:28 Great Linkara.
Ty
*Light Bringer
welp this aged well
Dude thanks for saying this, I’ve thought this for a long time.
Gourune: We need a Break from Justin Roiland's one note performances.
*Monkey's Paw curls*
When I watched Rick and Morty for the first time when it first came out I could NOT get past the fact Morty sounds exactly like Lemongrab from Adventure Time, I got used to it but it was really uncanny at first
Everything voice he does is literally just Morty with an accent
can't believe Jr from blark and son beats women smh
*Patrick Warburton has entered the chat*
Yeah but his voice kicks ass
I think Steve Blum is another great example of VA's who have a signature voice, but still mix it up with their characters' respective personalities.
Sadly, he caves into forced identity politics.
@@ChristianFrates1997 Elaborate
@@ChristianFrates1997wow,you opened my eyes on a bunch of vice actor scandals. Source?
@@ChristianFrates1997 It's been a year since you commented and you STILL haven't elaborated, why?
Patrick Warburton is another good example of a voice actor that uses the same voice, but has a great acting range. He plays Joe from Family Guy, Brock Sampson from Venture Bros and Buzz Lightyear from the Adventures of Star Command. All of which are 3 manly guys, but other than that, they have completely different personalities.
So, looks like the voice of Rick and Morty is gonna be a better voice actor now 😂
3:17 I thought I was having a stroke; I forgot about that fish dude
If you're looking for someone from Rick and Morty with great voice acting, the dog from the first season is none other than Rob Paulson, the voice of Yakko and Pinky. I saw him in concert and he shows exactly what a great voice actor does. Its not the range that makes him great, its how he GETS into character rather than just reading lines and uses emotion.
This aged not like a wine but a fine whiskey that you can enjoy in front of a fireplace
I think a good example of a voice actor who doesn’t have that much range but is still really good is Bryce Papenbrook. The moment you hear some sort of raspy some what high-pitched voice from a character (usually the MC), automatically you know it’s him. But the best part is that he’s able to give his characters such a distinct personality that he’s able to get away with it. ie: Eren Jäeger from AOT and Meliodas and Love Helm from Seven deadly sins
the description aged like wine but only if i puked on the wine first
Well, now they would have to replace him.
