Exceptionnel !!! Une musique sublime (le dernier acte est tout simplement extraordinaire), des voix superbes: B. Frittoli est déchirante, et quelle voix ! R. Alagna, notre plus grand ténor français est au sommet de son art. L'immense baryton espagnol J. PONS (66 ans) est encore l'égal des plus grands. Et comment passer sous silence la somptueuse voix de la mezzo soprano américaine (60 ans), considérée encore comme l'une des plus belles. Une ovation à n'en plus finir. Heureux public du Liceu de Barcelone. On en redemande ...
Bravissimo! We could have been siting in the stalls of the Metropolitan Opera. Alagna and Frittoli to die for. Zajick sending shivers down my spine. Pons to cry for. Benini-conducting a heartbreakingly beautiful score with wonderful interpretation. Eternal perfection. After having seen Adriana many times-this was the one that made me cry all through.

Did Pons ever sing this role at any other point in his career? I always thought it would beautifully bring out the tender side of his voices that many of his other roles don't necessarily highlight, but this is the only production I can find him in, and even this took quite some searching to find

At some point we have to stop letting singers, directors, house managers from making chumps out of the viewers.
Frittoli's vibrato during the duet with "Radames" was like a car that doesn't want to start.
Alagna's tenor is really weak and shallow. The two singers, together, sound out-of-tune.
The Monologue scene was better ... but as with all sopranos who sing this role, we weep when remembering that Scotto is no longer available.
I should appreciate all of these free operas on yt ... but at least let us hear some vocal professionalism.
