When has the UK media ever seen Meghan or Harry's viewpoint? Aside from CNN, Loose Women, Byline, ET, a few other publications, and small RUclips influencers, the narrative around Meghan Markle has been firmly held by the hateful racist xenophobic UK media.
Piers Morgan is a broadcaster. If he was in the USA he would be fired. How can a broadcaster he hammering at a person 24/7? If he was in the USA he would be laughed at.
You have a point here. But I think in a way Morgan is like Trump. There is kind of a cult thing going on. When people are in cults you cannot appeal to their intellect because their brains have been deep fried. Piers is a spokesperson for a lot of causes a lot of very bigoted and ill informed people (of all social classes) believe in. So he is kind of like a glittery icon. Beyond being seen by some as a three dimensional messy person which is what we all are. The venom against Harry and Meghan is so relentless that it has lost any intellectual and rational quality it once had. You cannot reason with some people about it. People need to hate them in order to have a good opinion of themselves. It is a case of "I may have my problems and my issues but at least I am not as bad as that Harry and his dreadful woke princess" If you take Harry and Meghan out of the equation then this method of moral validation completely falls apart. There are no bogie people for the person to compare themselves to any longer. It long ago got to the stage when Harry and Meghan actually couldn't do anything right. Even when they are silent it is evidence that they are cooking up some new dastardly plot.
Piers wasn't a news reader, reading a script to report the news. 02:21 He's was a tv host talking about about current stories, which includes his personal views, otherwise there's no point in his show or this one. I don't like his style, but Meghan is the one who originally claimed the issues she had with the Royal family/establishment where a deliberate, personal attack on herself, accusing them in a very public way. This wasn't a private mental health issue, she was already using it to attack others. And Piers had every right to called her out.

What you need to realise is that many (but by no means all) white British people are racist - often in a sneaky passive way. Often when denying it to themselves. I say this as a white British person myself. Racism is an appalling human cancer and we all need to check ourselves on a regular basis to make sure we are not coming up with signs of it. Because white British people here are in the majority it is their racism that is by far the most damaging. Dr Shola is loud - if she was not loud and kept speaking then white men would shut her up by speaking over her. This is something I think she has leant. You have a point here. But I think in a way Morgan is like Trump. There is kind of a cult thing going on. When people are in cults you cannot appeal to their intellect because their brains have been deep fried. Piers is a spokesperson for a lot of causes a lot of very bigoted and ill informed people (of all social classes) believe in. So he is kind of like a glittery icon. Beyond being seen by some as a three dimensional messy person which is what we all are. The venom against Harry and Meghan is so relentless that it has lost any intellectual and rational quality it once had. You cannot reason with some people about it. People need to hate them in order to have a good opinion of themselves. It is a case of "I may have my problems and my issues but at least I am not as bad as that Harry and his dreadful woke princess" If you take Harry and Meghan out of the equation then this method of moral validation completely falls apart. There are no bogie people for the person to compare themselves to any longer. It long ago got to the stage when Harry and Meghan actually couldn't do anything right. What you need to realise is that many (but by no means all) white British people are racist - often in a sneaky passive way. Often when denying it to themselves. I say this as a white British person myself. Racism is an appalling human cancer and we all need to check ourselves on a regular basis to make sure we are not coming up with signs of it. Because white British people here are in the majority it is their racism that is by far the most damaging. Dr Shola is loud - if she was not loud and kept speaking then white men would shut her up by speaking over her. This is something I think she has leant. Then many people blame her for being a loud black woman. Not even a loud woman. But a loud black woman. If a white man is loud then he is authoritative or a bit of a character or someone who speaks their mind. Why is this woman even given time on these programmes. She is rude and argumentative and talks over everyone. She is as bad as Piers Morgan - she doesn’t seem to see it though. Piers was entitled to say he didn’t believe Megan and Harry. I didn’t either. If Megan was allowed to offer her “truth”, then so was Piers Morgan. Piers is either spot on or a pain in the neck - however, in this I believed he was correct.
