I'm level 70 Inv and I have made at least 20 crystal shield 3 perks in a row using 5 faceted components and not once have I got enhanced devoted 2 or 3... What is going on? Am I doing something wrong?

So i was messing around trying to get mobile for my EE....found out that 25 connector parts (5 in each slot) on a weapon gizmo is guaranteed scavenging 2...with other lower combinations of things like precise 1 or the demon or undead baits/slayer.
There is no downside in having Enhanced Dev 3 as well as Impatient 3/Devoted 2 on the same piece of armor right? The ED3 should supersede with no negative effects?
(Quite a late reply, but it might help others) The wiki also claims that regular Devoted can activate while Enhanced Devoted is on cooldown. However, this is unlikely so not worth choosing over a different perk.
need to make some scavenging gizmos for my pest swords....does it matter the monsters you kill? like i could just farm any mob i can easily kill and get lots of componets?
Pulse Fel - it's best to aoe down tons of mobs at the same time, so killing as many creatures an hour as you can is best. Dagganoths, anyss and abyssal demons etc are amazing.
how am i supposed to get zamorak components from godwars dungeon 1? i'm been killing spiritual mages and such here in the zamorak area and i haven't gotten any drops...?
gwd1 bosses, if you need zamorak components then go kill zamorak general kril, it will drop zamorak theme armor, dissamble them and you will get components... just make sure to train the item to level 10 so you get 4 times of the components

Really silly question about combos since I'm very new to Inv and a slow learner.. :D I see there are two gizmo slots in my weapon, right. So do I get one weapon gizmo with equilibrium 2 and another gizmo with precise 3-4? Or do I want to get p3e2 in one gizmo and then the same for the other one?
getting them in the same gizmo is very expensive because it takes a lot of tries. So at low invention levels doing like precise 3-5 in 1 gizmo and eq 2-3 in another is good :)
Am I missing a trick on how to make loads of gizmos, I only seem to have the components for like 3-4 at a time?!?! What's the best way to a make a load of gizmos???

Theres a gizmo disolver, so that u can disolve the scavenging and add aftershock3, u gotta use an empty gizmo everytime, so get the comps to make a lot of gizmos
One more question. For things like Biting 2 and Venomblood, thats a combination of perks for one gizmo, correct? So it only counts for one of our 6 total perks instead of 2 right?
Level 9 gives max components (4x normal amount) Level 10 is worth getting on anything if you're not 200m invention as it increase the xp by a lot and gives max d/a xp and carries over the 4x comps amount form level 9 too.

If you're talking about gathering tools, i always try to cover those in my skill guides - like i did in fishing/woodcutting i believe. When it comes to smithing/firemaking, i have a guide on those already!

Is enhanced devoted extremely rare? I've done 100 faceted components at this point and not a single one has rolled enhanced devoted of any level. Level 99 invention btw, I post this and then get back to back enh devoted 3

Nothing has changed with perks :D Still good for cost effective ones. Only upgrades are things like aftershock 3 + biting 3 which are expensive and top tier :)
I got lucky with Scavenging 3. It took me 250 precious comps. Around 10 mill. However, when I went for enhanced devoted 3...I spent over 20 mill. I was so unlucky.
damn lol. I guess your RNG caught back up to you when you moved onto enhanced devoted 3 :P Took me 2.5k precious, but i got them all from scavenging 2 so its all good :D
P4E2 Worth it if you got the cash and pvm quite lot. Its still +1% more than prec5. Some get even aftershock3 with invigorate1 what gives only +0.3% adr/ autoattack. Yeah ik these arent the cost effective perks but still
Of course they're worth it. But they're not worth it when you've just unlocked invention and don't have tons of money - only reason why they're not included is the prices :)
Yeah it's p4e2 or p2e3 (maybe just) that are better and they are very annoying to achieve compared to p5 This is by no means a high best in slot perk guide, I made it for a good mid tier set of perks to take to bosses :)

P3e2 is not as good as p5. There has been countless arguments about it on reddit - it always ends with p4e2 being only better than p5 alongside p2e3 being about the same, even then I think it's still a bit worse.
here is a little hack. use your armadyl warpriest to get armadyl components as they are practically free. and incredibly easy to get back. just a few arma kills.
Invigorating 3 seems better than impatient. Oceanic components very cheap as seasinger hood only 1m for 3 components. I have invig. 3 on all armour sets. Cheers.

Dallas well my point is that they release content that is completely inaccessible for the average player. It’s just annoying as hell. Why would they release tier 99 prayers if basically no one is going to unlock them because they are like 500mil each.

Correct, enhanced devoted 3 will override the effect of normal devoted and impatient will still work as normal bud :)

Do perks automatically enabled it do you have to press them like the ability bar?
Perks are all passive when in a item thats worn

2% crit chance per rank.

They do not stack so it would indeed be a waste of money to get 2 enhanced devoted perks on the same gear set-up

Personally I'd go with crackling/mobile and biting/venomblood if you only have 1 piece of gear :)

Btw 4 explosive and 1 magic is a higher chance for crackling 3 than 4 explosive and 1 imbued
I highly doubt that, every time i've used 4 explosive 1 imbued at 120 invention it got crackling 3 first try.
