I feel like for the games to not share a world would be a missed opportunity. Embark doesn't seem like the type of studio to miss that kind of opportunity. They clearly love their easter eggs and mysterious lore crafting... The games seem to have an obvious way to connect to each other (as you talk about here) and were developed side by side for years now. It'll be disappointing if they don't connect. I won't make any predictions or get my hopes up for Arc Raiders dropping anything Q1, but it would be nice. If we don't have anything by June... Sigh, idk
I really hope so. I think we have to see a beta pretty soon, because they are promising this stuff to investors and they care about games getting delayed continuously. They did the alpa with no notice so we'll see.
@@Hudszgaming Yeah, I was sure we would hear something about a beta either before or during the February earnings call... Now I'm eyeing May and June (earnings call, Summer Games Fest, and pushing a year since the alpha) as my next hope. If we get something sooner, I'll consider it a wonderful surprise.
The connection between The Finals and Arc Raiders is so intriguing, I can't wait to see how Embark expands on this shared universe!

Embark has such a unique position having the funds of a AAA studio but having the intuition and creative freedoms of an indie studio. I think the lore of the Finals is about to explode in the coming season, and I'm not going anywhere. I don't care that the numbers are dwindling, I am a permanent fan of this game for the near future. I'm gonna keep playing because the game is exciting and far more entertaining to me than most other FPS games. It's not just made for the regular FPS player, the die hard FPS fan has little patience for this type of game, it takes thinking on your feet and approaching every moment with a creative style, not just repetitive tactics. It's made for easter-egg hunters and people who are invested in both an exciting game and an intriguing story.

Realistically I'm pessimistic but I think it'd be really cool.
That rainbow effect is just what happen when you do a RGB split and it has an "add" mix style, making part of the red mix with the white and it being orange and so on with every color. If the rgb is split is wide enough and not spaced enough, that effect will happen.
I think that's not a real clue but I do think, knowing embark/ex-dice, this will probably be a shared universe thing.
This was my initial thought too. The only reason I included it was because looking at all the other videos I haven't seen this 'rainbow' effect ever when doing the finals logo glitch. So maybe it's something maybe it's nothing. I'm just being a bit overly optimistic hahaha.
I just see the fact that it does the red hue and blocks off the finals except the s. You can add arc raiders into that and it still work especially how it transitions to the rainbow effect immediately after

I really hope this theory is right (phenomenal video), I hadn’t even know about arc raiders beforehand but now i’m hooked for an even newer game. I can’t wait to see all this lore and everything to ever come with this game🎉

I dunno...Arc raiders is such a different game...but it's totally possible. Arc raiders alpha was held in June...one of the names of the announcers in the Finals. Probably not a coincidence but who knows. I think to really understand, people need to look at the Easter eggs from all the past battlefield games. They were so elaborate, they had rare sounds that would play when youd bust through a door. To get the megalodon to appear you needed 10 players to bait out the shark.
Load Battlefield 4's Naval Strike DLC, specifically the map Nansha Strike.
Head out the water's lonely buoy with 9 other suicidal players, just outside of C.
Once all 10 players have gathered the shark will break the surface, landing atop of anyone brave enough to swim it's waters. Look up phantom program in bf4 and everything it entailed. Completely bonkers.

IF you look at the logo more closely during the shown frames from 4:50 to 5:10 you can sort of see the logo representing the evolution of man. the logo appears like a gorilla morphing into man who then morphs in to the digital world perhaps this represents the morph from the finals to arc raiders? i hope im not the only one seeing this

Honestly, it'd be kind of neat if they were the same game. When we unplug from the gameshow to play Arc Raiders it becomes a PVE experience, when you want to play PVP again you go back down to your bunker and plug in. 🤣

Bro yu are on to something here,the lore with both games and maybe some kind of pairing really let's the imagination go wild..my take on this what if the hacker ,breaks the bubble protecting the finals with help from the Raiders who have finally found the location of the finals ,a type of prison for the raiders ,fored to fight against each other in the finals a sick Ai/Alien tv show , for the masses, after a huge battle, the raiders are able to free many of their people and lead them back to the Arc the real world and liberate the world of the machines..The possibilities are endless yu deserve all the big ups with your interesting take with the finals and Arc Raiders..Peace...

In my opnion they should go an extra step, instead of just having a menu and selecting stuf, they could go with something like a base that you can custumise and walk around, have a wardrobe and stuf that you can do, and then get into a match, like something more imersefull, like there could be a seamless transition to it like, completing missions to unlock the "real world" and then be able to joint the finals whenever we wanted but being able to be out of it with a diferent caracter and PvE stuf, it would be really cool.

@@Hudszgaming Yeah exactly. Some amount of cheating will always occur, but if there's at least some money involved, it'll deter the cheaters who just get on to troll everyone on stream (Asia)
@@cosmicjustice4139 yeah you're not wrong, with how bad it got in the cycle it does make me nervous. They need to have a robust Anti-Cheat in place especially with the value of loot etc.
@@Hudszgaming I can only really speak for Asian servers, but it's been the worst cheater situation I've seen in any online shooter (and I've played nearly all of them). The current anti-cheat doesn't seem to be picking up anything.. Had one cheater pop up on my team just bouncing up and down on a jump pad spraying everyone on the other side of the map. Dude was begging to get banned. These days, it's at least one or 2 cheaters per tournament. With it being free to play, they just sign into a fresh account and carry on. Sometimes I'll check on Steam for suspect players and there will be 1000s of brand new back up accounts under their name. I blame Steam just as much as the anticheat though. They could do more and require new accounts be linked to a phone number. At least that would make it more difficult to create a new account on these F2P games. I love the game though despite the cheating. Thanks to your video, Arc Raiders will definitely be getting played.

them being like oh we only made the finals for a few months so we can set up for "it was all a matrix dream" type game would be the most cringe thing ever. The finals isn't even that great of a game it's just free and free will always get downloaded and played.
