Imho, Amira Willighagen's Ave Maria by W Gomez is other-worldly! And she has no huge orchestra just her brother on violin, mother on recorder (poorly) and her father on church pipe organ. How can you teach someone the value of something he has deliberately thrown away? He must have thrown it away because he did not value it. You can only show him how miserable he is without it, and slowly bring it nearer so he can learn how his misery lessens as he approaches it.
This teaches heim to assocaite his misery with its absence, and the opposite of misery with its presence. It gradully becomes desirable as he changes his mind about its worth.
I am teaching you to associate misery with the ego and Joy with the Spirit. You have tausght yourself the opposite. You are still free to choose, but can you really want the rewards of the ego in the presence of the rewards of God?
My Trust in You is greater than yours in Me at the moment, but it will not always be that way. Your mission is simple. You are asked to live so as to demonstrate that you are not an ego, and I do not choose God's channels wrongly.
The Holy One shares My Turst and accepts My Atonement decisions because My decisions are never out of accord with His. I have said before that I am in charge of the Atonement.
This is only because I completed My part in it as a man, and now complete it through others. My chosen channels cannot fail, because I will lend them MY Strength as long as theirs is wanting.
You are the light of the world, Who is the light of world except God's Son? This then is the merely a statement of the truth about yourself.
It is the opposite of a statement of pride, arrogance, or self-deception. It does not describe the self-concept you have made. It does not refer to any of the characteristics with which you have endowed your idols. It refers to you as you were created by God. It simply states the Truth.
To the ego this idea is the epitome of self-glorification. But the ego does not understand humility mistaking it for self-debasement.
Humility consists of accepting your role in salvation and in taking no other. It is not humility to insist you cannot be the light of the world if that is the function God assigned to you.
It is only arrogance that would assert this function cannot be for you, and arrogance is always of the ego. True humility requires that you accept this idea because it is God's Voice which tells you it is True.
This is a beginning step in accepting your real function on earth, It is a giant stride toward taking your rightful place in salvation. It is a positive assertion of your right to be saved, and an acknowledgement of the power that is given you to save others.
It is the prefect answer to illusions, and therefore to all temptation. It brings all the images you have made about yourself to the Truth, and helps you depart in Peace, unburdened and certain of your purpose.
This idea goes far beyond the ego's petty views of what your are and what your purpose is, As the Bringer of salvation, this obviously necessary,

you've brought this upon yourself for serving a corrupt government that just uses puppet to achieve power and wealth. but I think there is hope for you, praying is not the answer, finding people or a person that care and loves you may be the answer, and their are doctors out there that can treat or ease the pain. some of these comments are religious, but they are right about one thing, you must let go of your ego, or you will hurt the people around you as you just hurt others from other nations. "That is not a voice. That is an instrument, with the most beautiful tone quality, being used to perfection." I have thought this to myself twice, the first time I heard Whitney Houston sing, two or three decades ago, and just now, when I first heard this performance.
It is beyond a tragedy that someone of Jackie's talent now languishes in relative obscurity, performing at C-list venues with empty seats, when once she was America's darling and was woshipped by millions. Where are all those fans now? Her voice is different now, yes, but that innate something-else that she had as a child performer is still there, albeit changed, matured. I hope her career picks up again and she recovers from her health issues and finds happiness.

Jackie is presently on national tour with songs from the new album plus fan favorites from previous albums beginning with a series of concerts at City Winery venues in Nashville, Boston, Washington DC, Philadelphia, Chicago and Atlanta through Oct. "City Winery offers live music, comedy shows and more by top artists", the same type venue as the famous Cafe Carlyle and Feinstein's 54 Below in New York City where Jackie has returned for several command performances. Ed Cortorreal I’ve always thought Jackie was better although Amira is good, Jackie has now branched out to even more genres singing county and pop songs where she can really belt out her notes, she is further proving her ability she’s always had. She sang Celine dions “it’s all coming back to me now” which is a really hard song to sing the way Celine does. She sang an Amy whinehouse song and nailed that too. Jackie is a vocal chameleon

your characterization of Jackie as average! THAT is my criticism; Jackie is the antithesis of "average". She has an extraordinary voice by any measure. She has great technique, perfect intonation and an "old soul" in a 15 year-old body! You don't have to like her voice, but you raised the ire of most of us by disparaging her vocal proficiency and musicianship! At least my judgment comes from decades of musicianship--both in composition and performance, and there is general consensus that Jackie is extraordinary!

My dad took us to Longwood Gardens for several years, and when he died of Covid-19 in 2021... I was not able to comfort him in his last days, but hope he heard her singing....Sorry for your loss as well.

My dad also took us to Longwood Gardens for several years, as he was the Director of Delaware State Parks...He also taught at the University of Delaware and Oglebay Park in Wheeling West Virginia...I ended up in the New Castle County Delaware Forestry Department, and we went to Longwood Gardens to see how they also took care of trees.

I COMPLETELY understand what you're going through with listening & watching JEM sing. I just turned (a young) 61 on the 7th, and ever since JEM was on AGT, all I need to do is JUST THINK of her to get teary-eyed, It gets more when I listen, and even more when I watch her. At first, I thought I was the only one who had these symptoms, until I found many others like you who were struck with her in this way, and we still are. I have a theory on why this happens, but it's an otherworldly explanation. Another thing, Sir Ironman, and you are not so 'iron' are you as far as JEM is concerned?!!, I find it VERY SPECIAL to respond to JEM thusly, and I wonder why you, I, and thousands of others respond to her like this. Another thing, exactly last year at this time she hosted the MUZART function (but it wasn't one of her concerts) and I missed it, and also her concert at the Maverick Center, Salt Lake City, 3-31-12, and I missed that one too (lack of transport - I live about 50 south of the Maverick Center), So I can understand you missing your concert. I'll be safe to say that you WON'T MISS the airing of this LONGWOODS Concert in DEC will you? One question, I haven't seen when this event was filmed, I think early summer, but I've never seen an exact date...Can you, or anyone else give me the exact date of the filming of this event?

Auguet 23rd, I had the option of going to one of three concerts scheduled in August, Chautauqua, NY on Aug 8th, Lancaster Aug 10 or Longwood Gardens Aug 23rd. I picked Lancaster due to the hot summer weather I was more comfortable indoors in air conditioning. Now, knowing what I missed, I would have braved the fires of hell to have seen this concert in person!
***** Again I assure you, dear friend, that although the mechanics of making such an elaborate PBS special are fascinating to observe, you are getting the fullest impact of Jackie's angelic singing and persona right here in high def and colorful close-ups, etc. While it's nice to have been present at so historic an event, I think the full complete PBS show, and hopefully a good DVD thereof, will impart to any Jackie FANatic the full and wonderful impact of her amazing artistry (still so angelic, yet growing richer),lovely looks (still more like a mid- to late- teen), and neat personality (modest and thoughtful, exuberantly 14-year-old, caring, devout, and often wise beyond her years). Each song from her new AWAKENING album grows more on me each time I hear it :) Am breathlessly awaiting December; must find out when local PBS station(s) will present this, her THIRD (!!! :) :) :)) GREAT PERFORMANCES special :)

I only knew this part about her when she was alive but I learned so much about her after she passed away so in her memory I listen only to you singing this song to remember her. Through a recent interview Jackie spoke of performing in England sometime this summer. Its my guess there will be other performances in Europe as well, at least I am hoping so. Rather an exciting thought!

I'm probably not the first guy in history to do it, but when I saw this live two years ago as a 16 year old, I fell in love with her. She's as close to heaven as we can get on this earth.
This was played with I was first married as she walked down the isle. The small church was light pink with little hand painted flowers, her dress was a beautiful custom made of silk and she was beautiful.

I may be only 16 but I don't think I have ever heard anything as beautiful her voice in this song. I may not have cried from her performance but that was truly beautiful.

I can only imagine how magical it must have been if you were at this event. Unless you are among the fortunate few to have seen Jackie performing live elsewhere, it's very difficult to be able to match this experience in a lifetime.

I can not quit watching this. I agree that hearing this on the CD isn't as emotional as seeing her sing in this beautiful garden. She is truly gifted and a beautiful girl as well! I hope this concert comes out on DVD.
