The fact that Crowley calls him angel almost doubled the time he called Aziraphale’s actual name, is astonishingly and exquisitely romantic.
I think he does it because "angel" ist easier to pronounce than "Aziraphale". 😅
@@FrolleinFroschbein Possibly, but I think it’s more out of fondness that he calls him angel, the time where he calls him Aziraphale the most is after their falling out in season one, where he then proceeds to call him Aziraphale the next 7 times he addresses him before returning to angel.
@@averiw5926 I actually noticed he usually calls him Aziraphale in front of other people, and more angel in private
@@vitaliy1858 partially, he calls him angel several times in public as well though, he does use his name when discussing him with other people though which makes sense, and I almost mentioned that in my comment but decided it didn’t really contribute much to my point. I think all the aziraphales during the apocalypse are due to their falling out, cause even in public the scene before when he declares he’s leaving, he calls him angel, then he’s alone in the bookshop shouting aziraphale, then talking to him in the bar he’s still aziraphale, and during the apocalypse it’s aziraphale and that is in front of people but I think it’s mainly due to their falling out. He doesn’t call him angel again til after the apocalypse is over and things have settled down, particularly between them. But I can see what you are saying, and think that could also play into the fondness perspective.
@@FrolleinFroschbein Crowley seems to have not the slightest problem pronouncing it. Honestly, I hear more reactors getting it right and mispronouncing Crowley.
has anyone else noticed that most of the time he only calls him Aziraphale when hes' angry/stressed
Or when he's talking to another person *about* aziraphale
Half of it was in the bookshop when it burnt down.
Or well, it felt that way.
That’s really how lovers do when they get frustrated if Aziraphale had a middle name it’d be constant lol
Like how moms do.😂
they’re actually married. Calling their partner by their real name when angry/stressed😭
It's interesting, most of the "Aziraphale"s are said to other people. You did miss one direct one though:
In the gravedigging episode (S2E3), when they're in the mausoleum and Morag is dying, Crowley says "Aziraphale" really gently, and Aziraphale thinks he's protesting about Azi wanting to heal her, but a second later Crowley touches his shoulder or chest to manually turn him around to look, then says "too late". (Wish we could see that touch, dangit!)
yess this scene broke my heart. ❤️ for those who may not remember or want to see it again, start watching at 27:00!
@@itsineffablethanks!
You past one “idiot.” (The most hurt one)
“You idiot, we could’ve been us!”
But i love this video 💙💯
They did that on purpose to spare our feelings thank u very much
Um, actually that one doesn't exist. It never happened i don't know what you're talking about
@@lilithreusch2614 Still working on the denial stage, I see.
I thought one was missing....
Idk what you're talking about
No one will ever convince me that most of the times Crowley called him "Angel" he did as a pet name and was aware that people interpreted as both being a couple.
i regret to inform you that you forgot lady bracknell!!!
FUCK
😭 what a damn loss
To be fair, that’s David Tennant improvising because that character comes from a play Michael was in (he played the opposite role though)
😂
From the importance of being earnest
He mostly calls him Aziraphale to his face when sh*t starts to go down
My favorite is "Get in Angel" it sounds so soft 😢❤
The lil Aziraphale when he's drunk after the bookshop fire is so soft as well 😭
The statistics I’m screaming. I loved the rainbow flashing bastard, the comprehensive list of every name including idiot, the slightly comedic slightly unhinged music in the background. Verdict: excellent video 😂
This is such an incredible concept and I’m so glad for this very serious data analysis work - and the confirmation that he definitely calls him angel more than his actual name is ✨exquisite✨
He also calls him "Mr. Fell" at least once, when he's talking to Gabriel about what went down when Heaven tried to destroy Aziraphale.
I like how it starts off as an insult and ends up a term of endearment
Look, the way he says Azi's name is already endearing and then he goes ahead and says Angel as a pet name instead of a way of pointing out what he is... I need me a Crowley damnit
We* definitely do..
Omg and most of the time he calls him aziraphale its him talking about him to another persons like to him he mainly calls him angel its so cute
This video is so important to me, he calls him angel so many times🥺 but also the way he says "aziraphale" sometimes jdjdksjd its so soft im melting
honestly i thought i liked him calling angel but now after seeing this i realised the way he says Aziraphale is so so precious and intimate honestly he only reserves them for angry/ stressed occasions and that makes it even more ughhhh
ps I LOST IT when rainbow bastard made and appearance this is gold
First i love that you did this 🎉 Secondly he calls him angel mostly in private conversations, never infront of anyone from heaven and hell. Its a pet name and i love it so much
He does say "my angel" to Nina when they're out on the street.
Crowley often calls Aziraphale “angel” when they’re in public. Such as in season one, when they “break up”. They’re in public with other people casually passing by. He calls him “angel” twice in one conversation, and he doesn’t just say “angel” calmly; he shouts it to the world, to a point where a random stranger assumes they’re a couple that just broke up and tells Aziraphale, he’s been there as well.
Crowley also calls him “angel” while talking to Nina about Aziraphale.
Calling Aziraphale “angel” is no secret.
He also says it in front of Anathema when he says Get in, Angel, to the car when they are dropping her off and she assumes they're a weird gay couple driving around without headlights on...
you missed the last "idiot", but I figure it was to spare everyone the heartbreak. Thanks for the very important data research (all jokes aside this is something I was meaning to look into, so I'm grateful someone else got around to it before me)
Yessss, I love this! "Angel angel angel angel idiot angel angel Aziraphale angel..." Fantastic analysis of the data at the end, too. 😂
You missed one "You idiot we could have been us"
That's what I get for doing things in the middle of the night
that did not happen actually, its just a big prank Neil is doing to us! in the real timeline Azi and Crowley are happy together on their side
@@BekatheCuteCat I personally am not "secret fourth Sherlock episode"-ing this. But I know it will turn out well in the end.
@@HuntingViolets the russians will not get us this time 😅
You forgot the "you idiot" one near the end 😅
we dont talk about that.
@@kodiskode777 Ah, right, the whole in denial thing, I forgot. /hj
@@raindeer9787 what denial thing nobody denied anything at the end of season 2 nobody’s hearts we’re crushed everything was justtt fine 😋🌸💕
@@kodiskode777Right, there was only the happiest of endings for our boys and everybody squealed in joy, no tears or betrayal in sight. 😊💖
@@raindeer9787 couldn’t have asked for a better ending 🫶
It's really a shame he didn't pull out "My Nefertiti Fooling Fellow" a few more times. Peak petname
When he says angel is hit different, not a title... sounds like a special loving nickname 🥺❤️
Observation: Crowley only calls Aziraphale by his name when he’s talking about him or if other are around. Whenever they are alone and he’s talking to Aziraphale he calls him angel 🤔
What ever that means 😅
I find it interesting that he tends to refer to him as Aziraphale but addresses him as Angel
Very nice and accurate statistics, I am so glad this exists
I see what you did there. 💞
A zero fail 😂
Thank you for your efforts! The counters so cute, I was only expecting the angel nickname and Aziraphale but the rainbow colored ‘Bastard’ and even the dates! Now that’s what I call research
Awesome, I actually surprised that he called Azirphale by name quite so much to be honest 😂
Me too actually 😂 I forgot about all those times in S1 E6
Now count it into every year and 6000 years 😂❤. Do Aziraphale version please ❤
I love how he called his name when Aziraphale was astral projecting(?).
this is what the internet was made for
Technically, he was called “so clever”
Would you make a version for Crowley? (e.g. being ✨ silly ✨)
Started doing it ! Spoiler alert tho, the list is very long, who knew a book seller would have so many little names for his significant other-
@@StainButItsMxrphineHeresubscribing for the updates
Can't wait!
Madly in love with this.
I love this. It’s a vibe
Hehe best "friend"
putting bastard in rainbow font is my personal aesthetic and everything I need in life
After watching the last episode of season two: 😭😭
The 14 changed back from 14 to 13
Yes!
Can't work out why it went back.
I absolutely love this. Thank you for this 😂
I love the "Nefertiti fooling fellow" xD
Gotta love alliteration!
he also said “you IDIOT we could have been us”
The best investigation and data compilation 1000/10❤
When I saw the list pop up at the corner I thought it qould onky count Aziraphale and Angel but I'm so pleasantly surprised other types are counted for as well 🤣🤣 I love when it updates lmao
this video is so amazing
Im so sorry if someone has already pointed this out, but i do wanna mention that crowley says one very quiet and soft “aziraphale” when az is talking about healing wee morag, its hard to hear but its there. its right after aziraphale says “i could heal her!”
anyways this is awesome i love them sm, excellent video
as someone whose actual name is angel and who has been in love with david tennant for a decade, I thank you for this compilation
This has to be my favourite compilation yet. My dumb brain loves it.
would “how much, doctor mcfell?” in ep 3 have counted? if so i love how many times he refers to him while drunk🤭
The change from best friend (when discorporated) to only friend (telling Gabriel off in 0205) breaks my heart a little. Also “Lady Bracknell” at the Pub.
Many thanks for this, 😂❤
Nefertiti fooling fellow is my favourite
Such a great video!! He also says "you idiot, we could have been Us"
I appreciate the percentages, years and comparison of each name
I think it's because Crowley calls him "angel" most of the time that when he actually calls him with his actual name it feels special somehow? It's like when the person you like who always calls you by your family name finally calls you by your first name 🤔
I appreciate the work you made to make this so much 😂 I love it so much
Wooow Very good work! Love it
Omg i've been searching for this thank you
I didn't know I needed this but here I am and thank you for your work
Wow I loove it, was planing on doing one recap as this it's so brilliant thank u ❤❤❤
i didn't know I needed this
this is the best video I've ever seen in my whole life
I didn't know i needed this until i saw it and it was awesome ❤
Rofl! Love this! He calls him angel so much that we could turn it into a drinking game, lol
Can’t help smirking every ‘angel’ count☺️
he calls him angel more than by his actual name it's astonishing
"Bastard" appearing in glorious rainbow colors fucking sent me jaajhgahah
Absolutely amazing
It seems to me that Crowley uses "Angel" casually as a term of endearment and because it rolls off the tongue easily --- but he's a lot more likely to use "Aziraphale" in very important or serious moments. For instance, calling him on the phone to discuss the apocalypse, calling out to him in the fire, saying his name like the most precious thing on Earth after he arrives in disembodied form, or snarling about him putting himself in danger in season 2. There's also one not listed here in season 2 where Wee Morag dies and Crowley softly says, "Aziraphale," which I think fits the seriousness of the situation.
ANGEL. WOT ARE YOU DOING.
NOT THE STATISTICS AT THE END😭😭😭DYING
I live for Crowley calling Angel to Aziraphale
I luv this 😌
Best video out there
I totally didn't realize that Job was when he started calling him Angel!! Thank you for this video❤
Omg and the music is so perfect for this
OMG I just love this statistics, I didn’t know, but this is what I needed
0:57 he almost cry
Thanks for doing that cause I was also about to collect a list and..thanks for dong the "hard work" of watching and writing it down for me..us..everyone. You did good. Good.
BUT You forgot a few angels actually! In Season 1 when they give Anathema a lift and leave he calls him Angel again. So youre list isnt complete!
I remember that because it was right from the book and it was why Anathema didn't feel the need to worry that they might hurt her
I love this❤ btw "my nefertiti" 😂😂😂❤
"my Nefertiti fooling fellow" is the phrase I live for
THANK YOU
my favourite is def the softest "Aziraphale" Crowley lets out after Azi appears to him while he's in the bar 😭💔
missed his Aziraphale when wee morag dies
I never thought I need this so much 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
LOL love this!
Wanted to see when crowley said "nice one, ass" to aziraphale😅
I regret to inform you that I'm pretty sure that was a mistake of the subtitles and he actually said "nice one, us"
this is incredible scholarship!
Wait huhu, there was one in 1941 where Crowley says "it would take a real miracle for my friend and I..." Fhidhdsk missed one my friend but thats ok
I read a headcannon once where Aziraphale was originally spelled Aziraphael, and Crowley wasn’t able to say it as a newly made demon because of the holiness which was why he called him Angel so much until Aziraphale deliberately signed his name as it’s spelt now, thereby negating whatever it was stopping Crowley. I know that doesn’t jive with cannon, but I always liked the idea.
*_angels everytime_* crying
i love this
Cute!
Thank you for your service. We are in your debt.
I don't know why but the "word with you, angel" in front of Muriel somehow hits me as the most domestic romantic.
"You idiot. We could've been.. us."
The second best friend was so.. wow
I think he uses Aziraphale instead of angel when he is mad or is a more serious conversation. The nickname angel although I believe to be meaningful in a way, for Crowley is also casual, common, and comfortable in their relationship, a most days occurrence at this point for him. At least that's what I think.
"Best Friend"
You missed one, "you idiot, we could have been... Us"
aziraphale is starting to not sound like a name anymore i’m gonna have to cleanse by watching the crowley version of this
