that's pretty much what i do all the time lol. The annoying thing is that a lot of the time, when I learn a song (on piano though; the opposite happens for other instruments i play for some reason), I lose the initial passion i had for it, and when i finish learning it i sort of just dont like it anywhere near as much as i initially did, No clue why though
Sofia B oh right. I’d say carry on with it and don’t let a week pass where you don’t play it for at least an hour in total. I play guitar in addition to violin and piano, and the weird thing is that my instrument of choice (I.e. the one I spend most of my time on) changes with my musical tastes. So I’ve gotten back into daily piano practice for hours as I’ve somehow switched my musical tastes back to classical music, but started to neglect guitar, (which I play rock music on, as that was my main musical taste a month ago), which up until June I was playing as frequently as I now play piano. I don’t really know why but I often get obsessed with one genre or artist or something like that, and then soon after lose that obsession only to find myself able to exclusively listen to something else. Like I can only really love one genre at a time for some reason and it’s really annoying because I want to have a passion for all genres I’ve liked previously so I can get equal enjoyment from playing each of my instruments, but it just doesn’t happen for some reason
+Jeanarick at huge stretches such as at 0:13 you can play the left notes near the right hand with the right hand. You can use your thumb while the other fingers of the right hand focuses on the other five notes.
You arent the real liszt or else you wouldve corrected this youtuber saying this was your third liebestraum not your first or that you made three not one
Other than the doubles scale near the beginning of the piece, and the (arguably actually pretty easy) jumps at 1:55, the piece is really easy. Both can also be learnt in a fairly short amount of time through rigorous practice ;)
Amayraaa first cadenza isn't hard. Second one is pretty hard for me because the grace notes were written so small on my music, I couldn't keep track of both hands together.. eventually got it though.
Amayraaa it took me 7 hours to learn and master than part, the ones next to it is harder. You can play those notes like they’re eight, instead of sixteenth.

I started this song in middle school, and by the end of this year, senior year, I will finish, and it will be my greatest achievement. I could finally think, “I did something great for once.”

For anyone having trouble learning from this video, especially the beginning, it's because the c notes should be played on the right hand, not the left whenever there is a bass note being played. I'm not assuming this, i actually checked the sheet music for this piece. Wouldn't be surprised if there were a few other errors like this.

Franz liszt had huge hands, he could reach 12ths at a stretch, so when he wrote his best pieces, he wrote music that was hard at times for his giant fucking hands to play, which makes it nigh on impossible for most pianists to play. many of his pieces have to be altered in order for most "normies" to play certain parts. he was/is also considered one of the best, if not the best pianists to ever live. so...there's that too.

francisco scagliarini wow that's useful 🙄. Maybe he just wants advice on fingering? Maybe he thought visualizing it on synthesia would be useful and he can read it.
francisco scagliarini that's why you're not famous There are such things are wrong fingerings, my piano teacher spends a lot of time trying different fingers for phrases because they're very important both technically ahd musically. If you just make up your own fingers with no understanding you get into beginner habits where you feel comfortable, but you lack the translateable technique to play at any tempo with clear legato - so his question has an actual answer. What you basically said was: 'What's the best way to favtorise a quadratic?' 'Just make up your own method and stick with it' The question has multiple correct answers, and yet you still managed to give a wrong one - that takes effort, i commend you on that
This is correct but it's so robotic it's terrifying. When I play it it's different every time, you have to feel the push and pull of the music, it's unsettling hearing this emotionlessly plunked out.
You have to consider it's a tutorial. It shows you what notes to play not how to play them. Expression is something that a program will never be able to do the same way a human can.
That's not true, if you look at new A.I they can do a whole lot, and they will continue to do more in the future. For instance, robots can already make pieces of music that is so human-like that humans can't even tell the difference between it and a human composer. It's actually frightening.
I have (possibly) the smallest hands ever and Lizst could stretch a tenth - eeek will have to make adjustments to the piece - the beginning is okay - it's after the key change which is slightly difficult
Spoopy Doggo synesthesia doesnt show were your left hand should move to trebel cleff so it will seem like you need 3 hand. 10 key reach is ideal but i only have 8 key. still playable though lol
Hi, I'm french (so sorry if my english is bad) and I am 13 years old (lmao this is small). I play piano for about 1 year and am going to learn this piece (because it's amazing lol). If you just make up your own fingers with no understanding you get into beginner habits where you feel comfortable, but you lack the translateable technique to play at any tempo with clear legato - so his question has an actual answer. What you basically said was:
'What's the best way to favtorise a quadratic?'
'Just make up your own method and stick with it'
The question has multiple correct answers, and yet you still managed to give a wrong one - that takes effort, i commend you on that
Hmmm, specially at the beggining, the harmonies are so exotic
I like how Liszt thought humans had 20 fingers.
Just finished! There’s hope y’all - I can’t read music and have never taken lessons. Keep pushing ❤
TheQwertyman999 I think is amazing.
Tee Jay it's a computer 😐
Gerónimo it isn't
this part 1:07 i can't beleive that a person can play this (OoO) im baffled
but the part after it is my favorite part in the piece
I have (possibly) the smallest hands ever and Lizst could stretch a tenth - eeek will have to make adjustments to the piece - the beginning is okay - it's after the key change which is slightly difficult
I can barely reach a ninth and learnes this piece in 4 days after 2 years of piano :D
Barely reach a ninth?! That's big hands omg xD
Lol you have to be kidding me
Josephine Lum i can barely reach a 11th but 10th is comfortable.
I read that liszt could reach a 12th, in a biography of his
Heaven knows why this song bring my childhood. This is like ghost in my mind which are friendly to me
This is the most tamed piece I've heard. (It's Lizst. What do you expect?).
Try elegy no 2.... it's way easier than this
Currently learning this song. Halfway through :)
Do I need 3 feet long fingers to play this ?
Spoopy Doggo synesthesia doesnt show were your left hand should move to trebel cleff so it will seem like you need 3 hand. 10 key reach is ideal but i only have 8 key. still playable though lol
I’m a girl so I can only reach 8 octaves, however my hands r pretty lanky I would say
Tyra Ellen EIGHT OCTAVES???!!!!!!
@@ayhamshaheed7740 lmfao
Hi, I'm french (so sorry if my english is bad) and I am 13 years old (lmao this is small). I play piano for about 1 year and am going to learn this piece (because it's amazing lol). So I'm going to change this comment every time I learn something to keep my conscience clear
1 day : 00:00 - 00:20 (for the moment it's quite easy)
Liszt: I should I make Chopin mad? Oh I know! Steal his girlfriend! *liszt writes love dream* Chopin: WHY DID SHE LEAVE ME!!! Liszt: hahaha trolololololol
i see you everywhere lol
+Jane Cooper o.o
This song makes me dream it is a master piece 🎵
There's no Lizzt music that is easy ..... thinking that it would get rid of lizzt's speed until it arrives at 1:28 !!!!!😅😅😅
the e in the treble clef at 1:59 should be an f#. Though it sounds quite cool actually
