Looks very nice! I'm currently doing a complete engine rebuild on my connect van and this is an awesome and cheap way to have the valve cover nice and clean, thanks for sharing this!
Another good one. I let my daughter actually do mine on my 97 hatch after i watched your first one, just showed her how to take it off wrinkle red she did great. Waiting for the valve cover gasket to go on my 08 si sedan so i can paint it. That valve cover turned out really good, really cool gray. Flexing your skills man. Happy Thanksgiving.
The reason the valve covers are different is because the one with the Honda sign is a JDM cover and the one without is a USDM cover. My GSR motor is a JDM spec with a Honda symbol on it :) Nice work!
Came out fucking nice! So clean cuzz! Im doing mines now! Need to repaint the vavle cover also replacing timing belt water pump ,tensioner and seals no better time to piant it then when i do all that shit probably this weekend after THANKSGIVING! HAPPY THANKSGIVING🍻 LATOMMYLA TO YOU AND YOURS HOMIE! Hope you have great holiday brother!😎👍✌☝
Tommy an Idea?! Is it possible to wrinkle finish,... then use any other high temp paint to shoot over wrinkle? Custom color wrinkle..Unique Maybe test it on scrap aluminum and see for the viewers
Another way I found to remove paint from my letters, is to get some brakleen and qtips, dip the qtips in some brakleen and just wipe the paint off! A lot easier bro. But love the color keep it up!
Generally with spray paint you dont want full coverage on your first coat and sometimes even on the second depending on the color. Multiple light coats is key. Trust me. And I will usually wait longer in between each coat as I put more coats on.
What are you using that would remove paint to clean engine bay? I've been taught to just use a degreaser (simple green) and some water. And that does not remove paint.

A thank you for the constant uploads!! I don't always get to work on my car cuz I work too much but at least I get to watch you!!
You're welcome!
like your built, the details are good, even the motul sticker on the spark plug cover! good job
Thank you very much!
I got a Lexus IS right at the moment but I sure do miss those Honda motors. Nice work on the paint covers. Looks really solid.

Nice work!
Does that apply also with non vtec engines such as Si?

Thanks man and always!
Good shit tommy, i think I'm going to do mine this color as well looks hot!
Do it playaaaaaaa
K engine is the way to go .
Cool, thanks. Gonna do my Honda CX500 Eurosport head covers with that!
Looks good bro . I am going to try it on my single jingle one.
Put chapstick/vaseline on the letter faces. Paint comes off super easy after.
Seriously? Would this work if I wanted to do a camo design but instead of using tape to cover what I don't to paint , use vasaline ?
@@jesse0M I don't think this will work for that. Do a google search. I think a stencil decal is probably what will come up.
damn! i never knew the quarter trick! lol
excellent introduction !! greetings from Mexico! apologize if my English is not very good👍👍
Thanks man and welcome to my channel!
This video was oddly satisfying

Great job and quite detailed..... Thanks so much!!! :)
Thanks!
Stupid question but can you use hair dryer instead of heat gun? Would it work the same or not? Thanks!
That shit looks nice I'mma go that color on my h22
Looks good. Dope color
Thanks!
Good stuff. You forgot the primer first tho. You need that primer. It peels later on without it
Tommy the reason u do sessions of coats lightly so u don’t get runs first coat u do not half to worry about spots missing
Nice video bro...I'm gonna do mine wrinkle red...ahhhhh so sikk 👍👍👍🏁
What are the line/hoses on the bottom of the valve cover for? Where the Honda logos at ..someone school me
It’s 2020 do we still have to order the red online? I didn’t know this and I been going store to store looking for wrinkle plus red

I agree light costs and wait till it's tacky and repeat till it has full coverage
Looks really pro!
So the wrinkle effect is obtained by the heat gun?
Looks good... will probably start peeling in a week though
Is one can enough for this job? Do you think it will hold better over time if primer is used?
One can is enough for 2 valve covers, and I normally don't use primer.
mate, mask it up again around the lettering and use some polish for the letters. Just rub it into the lettering.
Wow deff using this to do my vc 🤙🏽
Red all day .. t o it just looks and fits perfect..
Is there a website to buy these valve covers and interior lights gauges anyone could suggest
Akon loves you ...
but bro where can I purchase the paint remover aircraft brand. Without buying online
what colour grey is that? I like it
Hi, I need help. I have an MSD b18c1, but I don't know how to get lunch control
Uber eats or Door Dash.
every GOOD honda cover needs to be red.
How long do the valve cover takes to fully dry?..
Nice video
How do you even clean your engine bay with the paint on the value cover ?
What are you using that would remove paint to clean engine bay? I've been taught to just use a degreaser (simple green) and some water. And that does not remove paint.
Good shit love your vids bro
Thank you!
Question please respond
Did you delete the charcoal canister?
If so any pointers
I deleted it, just remove it and that's it, comes out easy.
Did you have to change your gas cap to vented ?
Boosted Civic yes you do
To clean your Lens use mineral spirits on a rag and wipe
Another one DJ.....Tommy
Yo prolly should clear coat that so the freshly sanded aluminum doesn't oxidize
Tommy dope color! Great how to video but you keep calling it scotch tape its blue painters masking tape.
Thanks man and haha, so used to saying scotch tape
the next cover u wrinkle paint, warm it up with the heat gun before and you'll have a little better result....
Next one use soda bottle caps for the spark plug holes
Never thought about that haha!
Yeah Tommy! 🤓
That valve cover getting old... you know what I mean lol
Which grit is the best to use ?
I used 320grit, seems to work amazing all the time
Damn, 10 bucks for the paint... Here in Holland, 19 euro >.
On the outtro; that guy must not want to live
17:38 Years of practice ladies.
Listens to some Akon. Thumbs up👍🏽
Love akon
Noice!
Could I use a hair dryer asking for a friend lol
A little heavy on the first coat, and thats not scotch tape lmao
