this top 10 is different from every official league table? Guardian, Times, Complete University Guide all have a completely different ranking

Dougal Burrowes the guardian and complete uni guide are stupid placing over emphasis on irrelevant factors. For instance KCL ranks in the 20s and Surrey often ranks in top 5 in Guardian. QS honestly is much better at looking at factors and seeing how prestigious the uni is especially internationally.

No I disagree, this puts Manchester at 7th, which is outrageously high for a "good" uni. They also put Durham behind Glasgow, another ridiculous judgement and LSE should not be that high given their lack of range of subjects, same applies for Imperial College.

Dougal Burrowes Yes there are always going to be anomalies and no rankings system will ever be 100% accurate. However QS on average is better on average at identifying prestigious unis. Durham is well known in the UK for instance but not so well abroad. LSE and ICL are in the top band of unis in the UK for employment , pay and global recognisability after oxbridge. The compete uni guide put Lancaster before bath, Edinburgh KCL. I would not use the Guardian or UNI guide AT ALL, due to the overemphasis on student experience which will not get you a job. Sure Manchester and Durham should be much higher but I could point out more stupid rankings on CUG and the Guardian then on QS.

Student experience does get you a job, if you enjoy your degree you are more likely to do well in it, that's just a fact. Moreover, the QS ONLY look at international ratings, noting more. That is ridiculous because most people going to uni in the U.K. Will be getting jobs here too. What's more, when it comes to getting a job, then Bath should be up there, so too should Loughborough, Sussex too....if you go to university JUST to get a job, then the QS isn't what to look at. If you go to university to get a good degree and enjoy studying a subject, then QS isn't the place to go. If you are talking about anomalies, it looks to me like the QS rankings have far too many to be considered "anomalies", especially when their top 10 are against pretty much all surveys out there

As a Brit whose applying to the top unis this year, I can tell you that list is wrong af. Here's an idea of what it should be like:
    1. Oxford
    2. Cambridge
    3. Imperial College London
    4. London School of Economics
    5. Durham
    6. University College London
    7. St Andrews
    8. Warwick
    9. Edinburgh
    10. King's College London
The specifics can be argued but this is a far more accurate list than the bs in the video.

I think those unis are good in the UK. I am doing here the PhD, I would no one advice to come to study in UK. First main reason is the Universities here are not about students obtaining the knowledge they are about making profit and marketing themselves. Second thing, the UK is one of the countries where there is the most students on Professor, so there is not appropriate tutoring. third thing is the UK is not producing good material for the doctoral studies. At least I got this impression when almost all students and Professors are foreigners. Also the UK uses the students as a cheat labour so they make more money on them. Also, if you are not from UK, it is probably hard for you to get used on the UK bad food and weather, this also should be taken into consideration. I have seen that at some respected Uni-s in the UK the Bachelor diploma is 3 years and master only one year after that.To be honest when you finish that University you ll have the diploma but not the knowledge. This amount of time is not enough for anyone to actually obtain the real knowledge. There is a lot of things I could write. Also, if you look this pictures you see they are also the scam since majority of time it is raining and it is very cloudy in the majority of those Universitites The picture do not depict the real situation.
