This is such a good video, I feel like most people don't do videos on the Lannisters because they're supposed to be the villains. But god damn are they interesting.
Walder Frey Littlefinger merely exploited the Lannister "family secret." He couldn't have done that without Jaime and Cersei already doing their thing. No, LF just seized the opportunity Cersei gave him.
But LF got Jon Arryn poisoned, which caused suspicion on the Lannisters. And he lied about the dagger to blame Tyrion, even though Jaime and Cersei incest was true, this this fact alone couldnt start such a big conflict.
Walder Frey the Queen engaging in a treasonous affair with a member of the Kingsguard, her own brother no less, and passing off three bastards as the royal heirs is a HUGE deal. Everything stems from that. Everything. That's why Stannis rose in rebellion, that's why Cersei had such conflict with the Faith, that's why Cersei had to crown Joffrey and arrest Ned, leading to his death. Littlefinger is an opportunist, and escalated the situation, no doubt. But all he did was throw gasoline on the fire Cersei had already lit. It all comes back to her.
Walder Frey Yes it would. It would cause a succession crises (which it did, it literally lead to a war because of Joffrey killing Ned) and create various wars (which it did, War of Five Kings), inter kingdom turmoil (uprising of the faith), and doubt in the crowns authority making the king easy to manipulate and be fearful (which happened à la Tommon) that would ultimately make the strongest survive to stand opposed to Danny when she fought (which it did) and lead to destruction on both sides letting the victor be the one standing in between the war of the lion and the dragons able to bring order (Littlefinger by securing the north) (I’ll be it that was a plan he came up with as time went on), literally the only thing that the Lannister incest didn’t cause is the white walkers (and tbh I wouldn’t be surprised if somehow that did)
Wow this edit really showed how dangerous house lannister is and what they are capable of
