Jase, thank you so much for making the long trip to Montana. My son and I had the pleasure of meeting you at the meet and greet and then hearing you speak afterward. My son says his only hero, rightly so, is Jesus. He doesn't have many plain ol’ humans he looks up to, but he considers you a role model. Getting to hear what you shared with us men that evening went a long way with him and has encouraged him greatly in his walk with Jesus.

The steadfast faith you have is contagious .And has gotten me through the loss of a loved one.I believe that satan uses whatever your weakness is , as a window of opportunity .Thank You again for sharing your fellowship with me .I needed it badly.

Hell ya brother, stay strong. My father is a lifelong alcoholic. Hes got a good heart but tries to suppress the demons with the drink. Its been eating away at his mind finally in the last few years (early dementia signs).
      .
Most of the family has all but abandoned him, think I was the last one to believe that he could change with positive influence but gave up this spring after one too many outbursts. Hes probably nearing the end of his life at this rate. His brother died a couple years ago in his chair after drinking himself to death. Its pretty tragic and a very dangerous substance not to be taken as lightly as most seem to take it, however ancient it might be.
I pray every night that he is able to see the Truth and let his heart be made whole again, but its out of human hands and no one wants to be around his toxic side. Take care man, I like hearing success stories like yours.

@@BASEDinMaine Yea my dad was the same way , i can't ever remember him without a beer in his hand and a half pint in his boot . He told me one day that i had managed to do the one thing that he could not , by quitting drinking . But it was bitter sweet because he and i were drinking buddies. And at his funeral my cousin put a half pint of whiskey in my dads coat pocket .It's tough to watch them go through falling and dementia .After so many years they cannot stop , because their body has to have it.It comes to a point were all you can do is be there for them and love them.Stay strong for your dad , and i will be praying for both of you .

I’m 35 and have never touched a drop of alcohol. I might be able to control myself, but as a Sunday school teacher and a father of my own kids, how do I know the ones that look up to me CAN control themselves when they are “old enough.” Romans 14:21 says it is good to refrain from eating meat, or drinking wine or anything that causes your brother to stumble. So I wouldn’t say I’m against drinking, I would just be careful of where I am or who I am around. Much love for the guys, just hope they take that into consideration.

I grew up in the c of C and have had preachers try to say that the wine was simply grape juice and one went so far as to try to say that when Paul told Timothy to take wine for his stomach, he was advising him to rub it on his stomach. Nonsense. I personally have NEVER been drunk but I have the very occasional beverage. You certainly can drink without getting drunk. I love it when people tell the truth about things because when preachers try to say that drinking a little wine is a sin it takes all credibility away from Christianity. I find your pod cast refreshing and I gotta say Jase, I was like you, I waited until marriage and I am so proud and happy I did. I have now been married for 39 years.

The thing about drinking alcohol is that if you do something to cause a weaker brother to fall then you should not do it. First the man takes a drink and then the drink takes the man. 1 Cor; 8 But take heed lest by any means this liberty of yours become a stumblingblock to them that are weak. 10 For if any man see thee which hast knowledge sit at meat in the idol’s temple, shall not the conscience of him which is weak be emboldened to eat those things which are offered to idols; 11 And through thy knowledge shall the weak brother perish, for whom Christ died?

Sure the son of God turned it into alcohol & they all got drunk or half drunk..same difference.. our bodies are our temples & should not be defiled, should remain a holy, clean, living sacrifice.. gluttony is no different 3 & 400 lbers cramming they face till thier sick & hurting, ridiculous!..Bend the word how you like, no one wants to hear the truth anymore, just want to be spoon fed what they want to hear..if that reasoning is right then drugs are ok; as long as I do a little bit..Satan is the author of confusion, & lots of that going on, everywhere I look!! I thought alot of Mr. Robertson too, even read his books, but he is wrong about that.. sorry you see it different.. I was just agreeing with these fellows, now leave it at that!!✌

Rock, the bible tells us to love our brothers. It doesn't say love the people only you agree with. When Jesus walked the earth he didn't exactly pick the people that followed the word of God. Those folks don't need saving. It's not anyone's place to condemn another. Everyone can be saved.

Also I know that the more you delve into the words the more you know and can refill recall and I also know that God Leads us at times too, but you guys are beyond amazing with your knowledge and quick and almost automatic reference to materials in the Bible. Did you guys use something to help you learn and memorize the Bible or is that just a direct result of living in it and studying it so much? You guys amaze me snd although I know much I sure would like to be able to reference it like you guys! Just amazingly wonderful to me! Keep doing what you are doing! Now I’m reading the Bible daily (yes on my phone but it’s easier for me with a toddler ) But your podcast helps me understand the Bible better so thank you. I’m even trying to find a church that is good for me. Should I get baptized again?

In my Mom’s later years, she’d drink a single glass of red wine with each of their meals. She claimed it was good for her blood, which is true. She would also eat one ounce of dark chocolate every day as well with the same claim.

Ma'iingankwe H drs have said you get the same good stuff from grapes or grape juice, you don't have to drink the fermented juice!! Raisins are really good for you & good for your blood! In fact heard drs say why drink the alcohol in the wine & risk it's damage for what little good you get because you can get the good without the fermented! So they said which would you rather do run the risk? I can't stand the taste of alcoholic drinks-wine,beer,liquor,& think the reason people have to keep drinking til their body gets addicted to it & has to have it,same as drugs or cigarettes!

Jaime Cole - and yet a glass of wine has been found to be good for your blood. I doubt one glass of wine with a meal would be killing too many brain cells. In addition, my Mom was one of the smartest people I had ever had the pleasure of knowing. I truly believe she had been born in the wrong generation with her smarts, but then she may have still have chosen being a housewife and being home to raise her children. She could definitely hold her own when it came to politics, the arts, history, culture and the list goes on and on. Lastly, none of her children drink, not even a glass of wine with their meals.

Oh I was so excited watching you talk about Jesus’s first miracle. It was symbolic of the most wonderful gift yet to come! Jesus took water for purification, not just water, and turned it into wine, symbolic of blood. We went from the purification of water to blood. Jesus saved the best most expensive gift for last! HalleluYah! ❤️❤️❤️

On the last day of Sukkot the priests pured out water from the pool of Siloam.
      “Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and will not be afraid;
for the Lord God is my strength and my song, and he has become my salvation.”
With joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation.” (Isaiah 12:2-3)

John 7 On the last day of the feast, the great day, Jesus stood up and cried out, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink. 38 Whoever believes in me, as[f] the Scripture has said, ‘Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.’” 39 Now this he said about the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were to receive, for as yet the Spirit had not been given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.

Guys, regarding the water into wine: Jesus answered His mother about his death on the cross and about His BLOOD that would forgive us our sins. That's what he meant. The wine is also a celebration regarding the Groom = Jesus, and the Bride = we. The Savior began His Ministry right there. The barrels are for washing - symbolic for the washing away of sins. Think also for a moment of the last supper: what did Jesus there...? "He then took a cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you. This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins."

Matthew Kuhns I think a lot of places in the Bible when He speaks of win he’s talking about the Holy Spirit do you New Winelike in acts when everyone thought they were drunk but they were full of the Holy Spirit. But I do know not all of us are going to believe the same exact Thing But as long as we all agree that Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins and rose again
