"Make It" came out in 2021 and this song was part of 2PM's highly anticipated comeback after being on hiatus for 5 years as the members all took turns serving in the military. As an OG 2nd gen and 2pm stan, thank you for reacting to 2pm despite them not having released anything in the past few years, and while being so respectful too. It's hard to find reaction videos that can accept the older songs and MVs more "dated" sounds and looks, while still enjoying them. It seems like you like a lot of the members 😂 you mention Taec's voice a lot, but also complimented Chansung, Junho, and Jun. K's voices. Their voices and personalities are what drew me to them in the first place. Personally, Wooyoung is my favorite, but their voices are so distinct that I can always identify who's singing what part of the song. Although they may not be the most vocally talented or skilled, nor the best dancers, etc., they just have such amazing stage presence. They're also all hilarious on variety shows, but Wooyoung especially. Totally agree with your comment about the JYP-style funny/silly vibe, and it's no surprise that their 3rd and 4th gen groups followed in their footsteps. However, unlike 3rd and 4th gen, 2nd gen didn't seem to care about their images as much, which is why 2pm just seemed to be so crazy. Make it was the first song I heard of them apart from the chorus of 10/10, hands up etc here and there. And I loved it. Make it, go crazy, hot were the first songs I loved of 2PM The blond guy with white t-shirt in go crazy and center guy in 2nd chorus of make it is Junho. Seeing how you are liking his voice may I recommend his solo songs as well, he has 10+ solo career in Japan and has been under appreciated until recently. For 2PM I'd recommend: Hot - written by Jun k. Who also wrote go crazy Merry go round - written by wooyoung who also wrote make it

To answer your question, Jay Park left unofficially in 2009 due to some things he'd said about Korea and other stuff which made some fans actually petition for him to be removed from the group. In early 2010 it was announced that he wouldn't be returning. It's honestly difficult to even imagine how 2pm would be if he'd remained but they are all doing great on their own 😊

Jay went on hiatus in Sep 2009 (exactly 1 year after debut) after his personal comments from My Space against Korea made in 2005 were made public causing a scandal. They announced his official departure from the group and JYPe in Feb 2010 The reason wasn't ever disclosed. We have been asking (begging) for new music for last 3 years 😢😢 But they have been concentrating on individual activities - 2 members being signed with different companies (acting agencies) makes scheduling more complicated I guess.

Jay Park left the group right after ‘Again & Again’. There was never an official statement on why he left but rumour has it JYP had problem with his attitude (?) yeah something like that.. it’s been years so I don’t remember much but more or so like that.
Didn't he leave because of the comments he made online as a teenager when he was a trainee? I wasn't in K-pop at the time, so that's what I heard. If I remember correctly, he was venting online, maybe to some of his friends in the US, criticizing the trainee system, the kpop industry and even South Korea. So when it resurfaced, the fans and the Korean public got angry and even though it wasn't stated that was the reason he left, everyone kind of knew it was because of that. But again, that's what I heard.
JYP defended Jay during the whole situation and they're still on good terms even now. The hate probably got to Jay since he was still young at that time. JYP probably gave him an out and let him choose to leave. Jay went back to the States for a long time before coming back to open AOMG, after his covers on RUclips went viral and he saw how much appreciation and support he received
He didnt leave because of MySpace controversy. He left because of another wrongdoing he confessed to JYP's executives in Dec 2009. JYPE didnt reveal what it was. And there're many rumors back then, some said he himself wanted to leave. But its long time ago, everyone moved on and both sides are now successful in their careers.
2PM's songs are known to be rather intense, mainly about love & all the feelings that come with it (pain, disappointment, heartbreak, desire, lust...), hence they have this "adult image"! Yes, he was a member for a VERY short time. 2PM debuted in Sep 2008, he was there for 2 songs (10 out of 10- Again & Again), then he was gone by the time 2PM had the next comeback which was HEARTBEAT in Nov 2009. The song that won 2PM MAMA's Artist of the Year Award & all other awards. That was 2PM's breakthrough! So 2PM has 16 years of history as of this year, Jay was there only for 1 year! No-one talks about him!

Jay Park said he hated Korea in a private message or something that got leaked not long after debut and that was a thing. He left the group very early in the journey and went back to the States. There's a video somewhere about him explaining why he said it.

2 p.m. worked a lot in Japan, their Japanese songs are very good. If you watch MV, it's Higher, Beautiful and With me again. But these guys sing live at concerts and much better than on the record.
Fun fact: 2PM's "Go Crazy" -- which came out in 2014 -- was wrote by Jun K, who was the member with the yellow/orange hair in the MV. (He also wrote "My House.") The guy in the blue suit is WooYoung.
"Make It" came out in 2021 and this song was part of 2PM's highly anticipated comeback after being on hiatus for 5 years as the members all took turns serving in the military. Must is the name of the album.

Park JaeBeom (Jay Park), who was originally the leader of 2PM, left the group about a year after debut because of some misunderstandings and controversy. He was essentially removed from the group by JYP himself due to some comments Jay made online that were blown out of proportion and misunderstood.
Jay left the group in 2009/2010 and went back home to Washington, but he was so popular in Korea that fans demanded he come back and continue making music. So in 2011 he came back to Korea and signed with a small company and became a solo hip-hop artist.
But being under a Korean company still didn't allow him to truly make the music he wanted to make, so in 2013 Jay became the founder and CEO of his own Korean record label named AOMG. The Label is named after the Seattle-based B-Boy group, Jay Park was a member of called "Art of Movement." In 2017 Jay also started an international record label called H1GHR Music and in 2018 he was signed to Jay-Zs record label Roc Nation as he made his way into the American music Industry.
He has since stepped down as CEO and now is just a shareholder in both AOMG and H1GHR Music. In 2022 he started his new music label More Vision, which he established as a way to delve more into the Kpop industry, with plans to launch his own Kpop boy group, as well as represent other artists.

I love 2PM. They all went on to being great songwriters for JYP and worked with their younger brothers in the company. You don't have react if you don't want but there are several live videos of them performing with Got7 and I would love to see you come back and react to them some more.

As an OG 2nd gen and 2pm stan, thank you for reacting to 2pm despite them not having released anything in the past few years, and while being so respectful too. It's hard to find reaction videos that can accept the older songs and MVs more "dated" sounds and looks, while still enjoying them. It seems like you like a lot of the members 😂 you mention Taec's voice a lot, but also complimented Chansung, Junho, and Jun. K's voices. Their voices and personalities are what drew me to them in the first place. Personally, Wooyoung is my favorite, but their voices are so distinct that I can always identify who's singing what part of the song. Although they may not be the most vocally talented or skilled, nor the best dancers, etc., they just have such amazing stage presence. They're also all hilarious on variety shows, but Wooyoung especially. Totally agree with your comment about the JYP-style funny/silly vibe, and it's no surprise that their 3rd and 4th gen groups followed in their footsteps. However, unlike 3rd and 4th gen, 2nd gen didn't seem to care about their images as much, which is why 2pm just seemed to be so crazy. Their parodies are 🤌 although this is my first time on your channel, I will definitely check out your other 2pm videos 😊
Make it was the first song I heard of them apart from the chorus of 10/10, hands up etc here and there. And I loved it. Make it, go crazy, hot were the first songs I loved of 2PM
The blond guy with white t-shirt in go crazy and center guy in 2nd chorus of make it is Junho. Seeing how you are liking his voice may I recommend his solo songs as well, he has 10+ solo career in Japan and has been under appreciated until recently.

Higher and The Cafe are two of my favorites from them. Very different vibes but I think they show their vocals well. Also their variety content is so funny. Definitely worth checking out if you get a chance.

To answer your question, Jay Park left unofficially in 2009 due to some things he'd said about Korea and other stuff which made some fans actually petition for him to be removed from the group. In early 2010 it was announced that he wouldn't be returning. It's honestly difficult to even imagine how 2pm would be if he'd remained but they are all doing great on their own 😊

Jay went on hiatus in Sep 2009 (exactly 1 year after debut) after his personal comments from My Space against Korea made in 2005 were made public causing a scandal. They announced his official departure from the group and JYPe in Feb 2010

Jay Park left the group right after ‘Again & Again’. There was never an official statement on why he left but rumour has it JYP had problem with his attitude (?) yeah something like that.. it’s been years so I don’t remember much but more or so like that.

I wasn't in K-pop at the time, so that's what I heard. If I remember correctly, he was venting online, maybe to some of his friends in the US, criticizing the trainee system, the kpop industry and even South Korea. So when it resurfaced, the fans and the Korean public got angry and even though it wasn't stated that was the reason he left, everyone kind of knew it was because of that.
But again, that's what I heard.
He obviously left the group after people found his MySpace posts saying that Koreans are gay and that he hates Koreans
JYP defended Jay during the whole situation and they're still on good terms even now. The hate probably got to Jay since he was still young at that time. JYP probably gave him an out and let him choose to leave. Jay went back to the States for a long time before coming back to open AOMG, after his covers on RUclips went viral and he saw how much appreciation and support he received
He didnt leave because of MySpace controversy. He left because of another wrongdoing he confessed to JYP's executives in Dec 2009. JYPE didnt reveal what it was. And there're many rumors back then, some said he himself wanted to leave. But its long time ago, everyone moved on and both sides are now successful in their careers.

From 2008-2013 it was more like "Sexy Beast Idols" who exceled at acrobatics & dramatic performances (Again & Again, Heartbeat, Without You, etc), but 2013 onwards it's more like " Sexy, classy gentlemen idols" who excel at writing playboy songs😂 (A.D.T.O.Y- My House- Make it- RED). Very rarely they have party songs like Hands Up & Go Crazy! Go crazy is actually known as the funniest & most different song of 2PM, that's not really aligned with their typical image. I suggest u def give Go Crazy Dance Practice a shot! THAT IS REAL CRAZY & REAL FUNNY!

Since i noticed no-one answered ur question about Jay, i'm gonna say it. Yes, he was a member for a VERY short time. 2PM debuted in Sep 2008, he was there for 2 songs (10 out of 10- Again & Again), then he was gone by the time 2PM had the next comeback which was HEARTBEAT in Nov 2009. The song that won 2PM MAMA's Artist of the Year Award & all other awards. That was 2PM's breakthrough! So 2PM has 16 years of history as of this year, Jay was there only for 1 year! No-one talks about him!

And yes, they all have very active solo careers post military, that's why they gather as a group less often & their latest cb has been in 2021! Jay Park said he hated Korea in a private message or something that got leaked not long after debut and that was a thing. He left the group very early in the journey and went back to the States.
