2PM is the group that coined the title "Beast Idols", which means they are very athletic, muscular and toned -- they had/have a much more masculine image then the typical boy group when they debuted. In their early days they were also known for their B-boy skills and for their tricking. As you can see, a lot of their early songs have choreography where they were doing a lot of tricks and tumbling, which was something new in the world of Kpop, and it made them unique. However, over the years they kind of stopped doing all the tricking in their choreography because they realized that they have to be able to perform these dances on music shows and live in concert, etc. and that meant they had to put a lot of extra training in to make sure they could execute the moves well. I remember in the early days, during their dry-run rehearsals for music shows, they were always falling or messing up and they would take a lot longer to film some of their performances because they were so stunt heavy. They debuted in 2008 -- only about 3 months after SHINee -- so this year is the group's 16th anniversary. Even though 2PM is a JYP group and SHINee is an SM group, in the early days, 2PM and SHINee appeared on a lot of variety shows together and they were often paired together. So, 2PM and SHINee are pretty close. This was the golden era of second gen. 2pm has always had a very manly/sexy/mature image but you’re definitely correct that 2nd gen was probably the most open with those types of concepts & portraying it in their mvs! Some of the best examples I can think of with very “sexy” mvs are quit playing by ukiss & maybe abracadabra by brown eyed girls
2PM were all 18 and above anyway. The fact that many groups debut with the majority of members still legally minors makes it difficult for them to go sexy. That's why nowadays you see 3rd or 4th gen covering 2PM songs (esp My House) as if they were making a statement that "we are now MEN and not BOYS" anymore.

Chansung is my bias. I love 2pm. In 10 out of 10 song both girls in that video were/are performers. The main girl is i believe g.na and the last girl is Yubin of the Wonder Girls. They were one of the most popular girl groups of their time. They dont promote now since most of them have families but yubin has her own company and solo work. If you ever listen to more older stuff you should listen to them.

YYYYAAAASSSSS 2PM !!! That group got me into Kpop ! I watched kdrama with Junho, he was such a good actor i wanted to know what else he was doing. I got into his solo work ( the Canvas EP is amazing), and then try a few 2PM songs. ADTOY sold me! like the styling, the choreo and the vocals !! it screams 2010s but in a good way!!! I was obsessed with that song for a solid month. I watched every stage performance I could Including fancams. Their latest comeback is from 2021 and it's really really good ! They are seniors to both GOT7 and Stray Kids. And when you see their variety show you know where the crazy of their junior group originated ! As I'm not seeing anyone's comment on the pronunciation, here it is!😊 The 'c' in Taecyeon is pronounced as 'k' so the "proper" romanisation and pronunciation would be "Taek-Yeon". 2PM is one of my absolute favourite kpop groups and it truly warms my heart that more people are discovering them. ❤

Chansung is my bias. I love 2pm. In 10 out of 10 song both girls in that video were/are performers. The main girl is i believe g.na and the last girl is Yubin of the Wonder Girls. They were one of the most popular girl groups of their time. They dont promote now since most of them have families but yubin has her own company and solo work. If you ever listen to more older stuff you should listen to them.

But yeah, from debut until now 2PM has transformed from the wild beast idols to the sexy gentlemen of kpop, and nothing could make me happier lol. Any fan will tell you, their live stages are usually even better than their official recordings and MVs, so you may want to check it out.
I do find it weird too that Junho has so little info in his section since he's now one of the most popular members. Like Taecyeon, he's also a successful actor and it makes perfect sense that those two brought you in because that's kind of how it plays out recently lol.

YYYYAAAASSSSS 2PM !!! That group got me into Kpop ! I watched kdrama with Junho, he was such a good actor i wanted to know what else he was doing. I got into his solo work ( the Canvas EP is amazing), and then try a few 2PM songs. ADTOY sold me! like the styling, the choreo and the vocals !! it screams 2010s but in a good way!!! I was obsessed with that song for a solid month. I watched every stage performance I could Including fancams. Their latest comeback is from 2021 and it's really really good !
They are seniors to both GOT7 and Stray Kids. And when you see their variety show you know where the crazy of their junior group originated ! Honestly they are as chaotic and funny ! hope you check out other music (and dance practices because they are crazy !! ) !

My biases are Wooyoung as one of my ult biases and Jun.k as my vocal bias. Jun.k has some amazing solo discography. Jun.k, Wooyoung, and Junho have the most solo work in the group tho everyone has something. Please more 2pm my Hottest heart is so happy people are still discovering 2PM today. Without You is one of my fave 2pm songs and Heartbeat is a super iconic one from them. 2pm and Girls Generation were the two it groups of their time so they got paired up a lot for variety shows, special stages, etc. They have a cf together Cabi which has a MV too!

2PM are the guys who made it cool for idols to show their athletic side and ripped bodies during an era when the fashionable "flower boy" ("metrosexual" is probably the term in the western context that is closest) was still more common among Asian pop idols and celebrities.
Their muscles aren't just a phase. Even the members who may look scrawny or have baby faces were and still are very physically fit.

That song is iconic in kpop, and was very popular at the time, but their biggest hit was in 2009 with Heartbeat, that comeback confirmed the group's top spot in the industry, alongside Girl's Generation and Big Bang. You're even gonna get a small reference to it in Vincenzo, by Taec himself (the c in his name is pronounced as a k btw). My House also went crazy viral in 2020, after a Junho fancam resurfaced, so now that's the song from 2PM that most people cover, though Heartbeat was undefeatable in that matter for long years with its unique zombie concept

You should do Go Crazy (heaps of fun) and Make It - another funky smooth song. I also really love HOT but there isn't a great video to go with that. I got into 2PM recently through Junho's acting and I have come to love the entire group. Such a great group of people and all of them super high achieving and talented and likeable. Love them all.

I started learning about 2PM same as you from Vincenzo and have just have fallen down that 2pm rabbit hole. I love that group.. the whole beast idol package. Their music is just so much fun and full of energy. I would love to see them in concert. I wished I would have found out about them sooner!
2PM are definitely the kings of KPOP. Current generations often use them as models. You just have to see how respected they are at JYP. They are talented, know how to sing, dance, compose and write....Each member respects the parts of the others and are very good friends in life. I like being among the Hottest for so long because they also know how to make us CRAZY about them (they still earned the name of "beast" of KPOP). I like seeing someone discover them like this without knowing anything about them, it's a joy your POSITIVE reactions to them THANK YOU. Junho is known for that, He is the attractive butt of 2PM😉. Each member is amazingly unique.. Jun. K is known for his amazing vocal, Nichkhun for his visual, Taecyeon for his rap, Wooyoung for his dancing skills, Junho for his vocal, especially falsetto, and dancing skills and Chansung for his rap and vocal too. Each one of them have their own solos too. 2PM are like an ocean, we have to dive in and we come across so many treasures. Nowadays, most of them are into acting and their acting skills are 🔥. Junho is the first ever idol to have win the most prestigious award, the Baeksang Arts Awards for the best actor for his role in 'The Red Sleeve'.
Ohhh.. There is so much to say about them.. Once you are into them, there is no escape 🤣. My ultimate bias is Junho.. If ever you get a time, do react to his solos.. You'll be amazed by how fine performer he is♥️. Fun fact: when 'My House' was released, it did gained popularity.. But, after 6yrs, when Junho was enlisted to military, a fan uploaded a fan-cam of Junho with red shirt dancing on 'my house' which went viral and the song regained so much popularity. So many are suggesting you to watch the recent ADTOY when they came back. You should definitely watch it, especially Junho's part. In the original, they were sexy but in the comeback version, they are more manlier and sexier, they just felt themselves when they danced.
