okay yay i may have a useful answer for the tipping at the dry cleaners cuz my mom is a tailor at one! the tip probably goes to the staff after the week is out cuz usually the team is small (2-3 ppl) and they sometimes outsource cleaning to other cleaners. my mom works there every single day as well as her only other coworker so it would split between them. HOWEVER, it’s definitely not necessary to tip them because most do make mostly consistent wages. but also the staff handles chemicals and smelly clothes all day so a tip would go a long way!! i can’t say this is the case for every dry cleaner/alteration shop (especially if it’s a chain) but my mom’s been doing it for five decades!!
this is technically the first sibling rivalry where they ACTUALLY stayed on the topic the entire time lol. Also in my experience I didnt use bar soap for a while because of the residue issue, especially dove, but they must've changed their formula because I recently started reusing dove bars again and no residue whatsoever! I have never had the issue of suds or soap itself still being on me after washing off though, thats a new one for me lol ps: bobs look with the matching frames and earrings is it!
Maybe the hotels in London use a small amount of salt in their water tanks because I have well water and we have to put salt in the tank to help the system remove hard water and make it soft leaving a silky film like feeling on the skin. Also my issue mostly with using bars of soap are the soap leaving the skin feeling bone dry to the point it's shoe leather.
28:19 when it comes to race on the census a lot of Latinxs/Hispanic will go under white even if they’re not. Some also won’t specify if they’re Latinx/Hispanic
I love LOVE when these 2 get political and speak about things like race and politics and things about the country. It shows that they are more than just drag queens, they are multifaceted. I love when they get nerdy and talk about comics and gaming. To be honest, this is just a very well-rounded podcast. Bob and Monet, y'all are doing a wonderful job! Keep this up! 🥰
No no Bob is right, bars of soap are so vintage to me like why arent we using liquid soap, it just seems so much better like why are we still using bars of soap
1:00:14 my mother in law has been going to Africa every year for the past 3 years and she loves it. She says they love having Black Americans come and seeing their culture. I think she’s even planning on moving there 😆
My brother used to work at a dry cleaner, they didn’t ask customers for tips, but the boss let all the workers keep whatever they found in pockets of clothes lol
you guys are both right about the munch term! Bob got the basic definition but it definitely has negative connotations and should be seen as an insult (but some people might not care 🤷🏾♀️😂)
I’m Puerto Rican in New York. I always put Native American in my census form. I count Puerto Ricans as Native Americans that were mixed with Europeans and Africans during the colonist slave trade. I count almost all Latin Americans as Native American. The proof is in our faces and cultures. (Except for the ones who fled Germany in the 1940s.)(Did you know Mexico has a large population genetically Irish citizens. The Irish allied Mexico during their revolution and many settled there. That’s why so many telenovelas look more European than the majority of the public.)
the tip thing often boils down to the pos forces you to hit no tip to close out so if its not a place that would usually take tips the establishment has no choice but to either tell you to hit no tip or say nothing, so they leave it up to you without expecting one
Bob is absolutely right about racism. The difference about being racist to a white person is that the effect stops at their hurt feelings. It doesn’t effect their inherent social status or privileges. It doesn’t knock them down or teach them anything. That’s why we’re shocked when a white lawman, politician or celebrity actually gets punished for their racism. Because we’ve seen most succeed at not learning. Racism or bigotry toward any marginalized community or individual of color is always connected to a larger societal structure, our existence in the workplace or in the media and a system that constantly tries to tell us that we are “less than”. Punching up is observant. Punching down is oppressive.
I feel like Monét is describing the difference between soft and hard water in the shower. Is the water soft in the UK? I’m so used to hard water that when I travel to places with really soft water I feel like the soap never rinses off my body there.
It's soft water. That's my guess as to why it feels like you can't rinse off. (You probably are fully rinsed, but the soft water doesn't leave mineral deposits that give you that squeaky "clean" feeling. At least that's what the soft water sales person told me once.)
Prejudice and discrimination VS racism is what Bob is trying to get at. Anyone can discriminate against another. Is racist when the societal institutions are involved. Hence why black people can’t really be “racist”
I imagine this is what people have confusion about. One of the more commonly used contemporary definitions of racism is simply defined by feelings/beliefs of racial superiority, and thus it can apply to any racial group. What you described is _systemic_ racism, which can also fall under one of the additional definitions of racism, which specifies institutional power imbalances.
Monet, I don't know how to explain this but theres "hard water" and "soft" or "filtered" something water that comes through the shower. I swear I know what I'm talking about just dig into it online but usually in the U.S the straight untouched shower head releases the harsher water leaving your skin feeling not sticky/everything is off yaknow. Other areas or even on Amazon you can buy a shower head that "filters" or "softens" the water so that it's more gentle and pure, but usually like what you were describing, the soap can feel slippery on the skin and just make u feel gross or as if there is an extra layer of product on the skin. That is why most people do not prefer the "softened" or whatever the hell shower head water filter thing is. Hope this is somewhat understandable (prob not) - Victoria
Hahahahaha not staying on topic? Hahaahaha yall ahhahah this is every episode 🤣 that's our gals 😂❤❤...also I fkn looooveeee bobs look! Love the earrings and glasses ❤❤ roberta looking sexyyyy and gorgeous! Love monets hoodie too 😍
The 'one' where we can't stay on topic 🤣 isn't that every one? Love listening anyway ❤
you beat me to it! 🤣
Same here 😂
The episode title is crazy because it could apply to any episode
this is low-key the title to every rugirl episodes
Girl this just every episode 😭
I love when Bobs in a good mood 😂
Same!!!!!! 🤣😛
I think the soap thing is to do with hardness of the water. Soft water takes longer to wash off soap
there's a lot of lime in the water there, so they are probably using a water softener
Oh so THIS is the one where they can’t stay on topic lmao word
I am in tears 🥹 Thank you so much for speaking on Palestine again 💖💖🇵🇸🇵🇸
It’s how bob holds the mic. It is a thumbs up
Free Gaza!! Thank you two for speaking about Palestine, love you both sm 🍉💖
Bob is the only person that thinks its Luxx London Noir
“The one where we can’t stay on topic” well Tamar.. have you watched the show?
The problem is the not the bar but the soft water......loads of places have this issues. Soft water feels super wet and slippery on the skin
i’m currently living in a house with “soft water” (i’ve never heard it be called that) and it’s a nightmare
@@basket.8caseright this is the first i’m hearing about soft and hard water?
okay yay i may have a useful answer for the tipping at the dry cleaners cuz my mom is a tailor at one! the tip probably goes to the staff after the week is out cuz usually the team is small (2-3 ppl) and they sometimes outsource cleaning to other cleaners. my mom works there every single day as well as her only other coworker so it would split between them. 6:22 it’s the impatient “who is it?” LMAO I’m dyingggg
You can literally still call restaurants and order 😂😂
These glasses frame Bob’s eyes in the most unamused way. Werk
Well look who’s back after Monet CONTINUED to carry the podcast!

*Monet’s hilarious Uber eats kick is hysterical* 😂
Poor Monet, always a bridesmaid…. but Tia is such a delight ❤
@@Jivansings 😂😂😂😂😂
Dove bar soap commercials famously mention residue but, we all know there's always bar soap residue 😂
25:10 It took me so long to realize what y’all were even talking about here lmaooo made it even funnier when I did
I'm dead ☠️ Bob Monet and Jacob debating about the definition of a munch 😂😂😂
this is technically the first sibling rivalry where they ACTUALLY stayed on the topic the entire time lol.
Also in my experience I didnt use bar soap for a while because of the residue issue, especially dove, but they must've changed their formula because I recently started reusing dove bars again and no residue whatsoever! “Palm colored people” 😂😂😂😂
Bob’s serving that look 💙

The fact MIB and luxxs prompt said they didn’t have to stay on topic
“Mid in her 30s” sent me
28:19 when it comes to race on the census a lot of Latinxs/Hispanic will go under white even if they’re not. Some also won’t specify if they’re Latinx/Hispanic
Right because the government made up the term "Hispanic" but race they have to mark white....
I love LOVE when these 2 get political and speak about things like race and politics and things about the country. It shows that they are more than just drag queens, they are multifaceted. No no Bob is right, bars of soap are so vintage to me like why arent we using liquid soap, it just seems so much better like why are we still using bars of soap
Love how everyone is eatin up this title because its literally just every other episode
Bob the LOOK QUEEN
Well Bob recently got a stylist 😅
I’m living for this ep!!!!
Bars of soap are better for the environment!
Yessssss for the MC Debra reference!! 😂
the soapy feeling is cause of the uk water being softer, it probably does wash off the soap, soft water just feels like it’s constantly sudsing.
1:00:14 my mother in law has been going to Africa every year for the past 3 years and she loves it. She says they love having Black Americans come and seeing their culture. I think she’s even planning on moving there 😆
I can't wait for btdqvideos to do a 'Wide eye' compilation video 😂
I would love to see that 😂
Monet with those earrings..it’s putting me in heat
I agree with bob on the bar of soap convo! But to each their own as long as ur washing!
My brother used to work at a dry cleaner, they didn’t ask customers for tips, but the boss let all the workers keep whatever they found in pockets of clothes lol
We got hard water over here in London 😂😭 we fighting all soaps in this city, the other cities are normal though🙄😂
dove soap does that to me, too. I stopped using dove many moons ago
Come on down to NC now chile!
you guys are both right about the munch term! Bob got the basic definition but it definitely has negative connotations and should be seen as an insult (but some people might not care 🤷🏾♀️😂)
25:30 is cracking me tf up bc bob thinks it’s the 😃 smile but really it’s the way he’s holding the mic that looks like a thumbs up i’m in tears
BOB looks so good! I love this blouse & glasses with the matching earrings!
🌈🪬
It feels like you still have soap on you bc the water is soft. Use two washcloths. One without soap after rinsing off the soap. Def still residue
I’m Puerto Rican in New York. I always put Native American in my census form. I count Puerto Ricans as Native Americans that were mixed with Europeans and Africans during the colonist slave trade. I count almost all Latin Americans as Native American. The proof is in our faces and cultures.

We missed you sooo much!
omg Bob's next EP: Soap Barz 🧼
Loved this episode.
I think it's how bob is holding the mic it looks like a thumbs up
i agree with the soap bars. so dated. long live the liquids. love love loooove bob's glasses and the color combination with the blue
5:52 is the reason I’m officially aligning myself with the bobble head nation #justiceforbob
The thumbs-up is happening because Bob is inadvertently doing a thumbs-up when/the way he is holding his mic, at times. 😂 It's that sensitive.
the tip thing often boils down to the pos forces you to hit no tip to close out so if its not a place that would usually take tips the establishment has no choice but to either tell you to hit no tip or say nothing, so they leave it up to you without expecting one
ThNk god ur both back.
Thank you so much for addressing the misinformation on Palestine 🇵🇸 free palestine
From a Philadelphian “This my jawn” doesn’t make sense lol you can use jawn for anything but not like that

I like how both of think D.C is a state! Lol😅
This title is literally about every episode? omg
Monet's right!!! How Bob gonna mess FRIDAY!??? A Classic
Bars of soap will 100% leave residue on my skin no matter how much I try to wash it all off
I feel like Monét is describing the difference between soft and hard water in the shower. Is the water soft in the UK? I’m so used to hard water that when I travel to places with really soft water I feel like the soap never rinses off my body there.
Y'all need to use natural bars or soup. I use it on an exfoliation glove. Bob looks fab the episode 💜
6:54 The water is treated differently… they add chemicals to the water to make it “harder” or “softer”
This title is not specific to any one episode sorry, Bobbykins
I’m dying at them debating munch but I love the back half of this episode sm ❤
Not Monet just bringing Ambergris out of nowhere
Slam Dunk! U guys hit it out da park yall these vids are amaze balls
32:46 "They changed it to drag queen"
Not Monet not even knowing how to order food over the phone
Bob is back ❤
5:15 nah, Bob is 200% correct on that one 👏🏻
22:54 Is he saying “jam”? Like this is my jam?
The soap thing is about water chemistry! It's a hard vs soft water problem
It's soft water. That's my guess as to why it feels like you can't rinse off. (You probably are fully rinsed, but the soft water doesn't leave mineral deposits that give you that squeaky "clean" feeling. At least that's what the soft water sales person told me once.)

Omg Monet your closet looks fabulous
12:31 HAD ME CRYING LMFAOOO 😭😭😭
Tattoo Artist here! You definitely want to take the saniderm off a tattoo if you’re sweating a lot under it, just be sure to wash it afterwards!
It really should have been entitled the one about movies we thought we had saw that one time.
best episode ever
Sounds like its soft water you're showering with. My grandparents had soft water and i hated feelling like the soap wasnt coming off.
It’s HARD Water! 🧼 🚿
Soft water also make your skin feel slippery.
roberta how did you not watch how to get away with murder when there is literally video of you as annalise keating?
Yes to the family reunion in North Carolina!!! :)
Bob, we love you the movie episode was nice😊.
Monet- dove bars are not soap- it’s a beauty bar😭
It’s actually the 👍🏾 on the hand holding his mic!!! But It’s so random lol
It's actually the opposite for me . Liquid soap makes me feel like there's residue left I only use bar soap
Monet, I don't know how to explain this but theres "hard water" and "soft" or "filtered" something water that comes through the shower.
