    Hey man, commenting on your oldest video for purpose. This channel really helped inspire me to start making more videos this year. I watched this and many other commute videos of yours so many times. Just dreaming what it would be like to ride my own e-bike in NYC after getting only a taste on the electric Citibikes last summer. Finally got my own e-bike last fall and got to take it on the LIRR last week & brought my GoPro. Can't wait to do it again soon. E-bikes are so much fun in NYC. Bike lanes rule

      oh man, you made it all the way to the back of the catalog! Every time I look back at these early videos, I cringe a little because I really didn't know what I was doing lol. However, I also look back at it and I'm so glad that my wife convinced me to just record and post it. 16 months later, I feel like I've improved but still have a long way to go.
      I'm glad to hear that the channel has inspired you to ride and make content. That was one of the goals of me sharing my rides. It wasn't to hype anything up or gain notoriety by doing dumbsht on the streets of NYC, it was to showcase how much fun this hobby can be even in a stressful environment like NYC! Never forget to enjoy the ride and the process.
      Hoping to meet you at one of the group rides in the future. I'll post it up on here and on IG if I'm attending. It's always fun because most of the folks are good people.

    I rarely go over the queens boro bridge but when I do it’s actually terrifying getting on the downhill portion towards queens when there’s other people on the path 🤣 I’ve seen a couple dualtrons going 50mph on it once. I hope they make the lanes wider it’s just too narrow and unsafe especially with the downhill portion

    • @eyebahnrides
      @eyebahnrides  Год назад +2

      I agree, the QB bridge is an absolute 💩show. I hope they move forward with the conversion and repair soon. I know they were planning on converting the south side road to a dedicated walk lane for pedestrians and giving us the north side. That should help ease the congestion like it did on the Williamsburg/ Brooklyn Bridges. Some of those scooter guys are crazy lol. I fly on the lanes when it’s empty but these guys are doing 50+ and weaving through the congestion 🤦🏻‍♂️. Then you add the mopeds and it’s madness 😂

    • @confidentialp6292
      @confidentialp6292 Год назад +1

      @@eyebahnrides the mopeds are the worst. I’ve seen at least 3 bad accidents on that bridge and it’s usually a moped riding too fast and smacking into someone walking or running. Too congested and def too small for the layout of runners and cyclists

    • @eyebahnrides
      @eyebahnrides  Год назад

      @@confidentialp6292 absolutely. It’s funny because they say coming after pev users on that bridge is for public safety. It’s nice to have a place like LastMileNYC to go to when you need support for your bike. I’m not very handy so I need that kind of support. Hi, can you send me a link to the headlight you have on your bike? It looks super bright which I love as in a big flashlight, headlight guy and I love riding at night... Or is that the built in one which I just checked on their website that comes with this bike?
    Also wondering what upgrades you have on the bike as it looks like you have either another battery in the frame as I don't see that in the stock original and what is the top speed you were going in this video? Looks like you were going close to 40mph or is that just the semi fish eye lens making it look at that? Thanks

    • @eyebahnrides
      @eyebahnrides  Год назад

      I don’t have a link for the headlight because they were purchased from a local bike shop. They’re called the Gemini Titan 4000. They’re amazing with brightness and they give you great distance too, I generally run them on half power because it’s overkill for the bike lanes!
      I’ll be doing an upgraded video soon but feel free to check out my instagram! All my mods are on there. My battery only doubles my range and my top speed is still 31-33mph. You’ll have to upgrade to a 52, 60, or 72v system if you want more top end speed.

At my current place of employment, they have a bike room with surveillance and security so I have the peace of mind to leave everything there. I have been playing around with the idea of using a brake disc lock because other people tend to move my bike around and scratch it because they don't really care.
