    These custom projects that are really specific to individual spaces are always some of the most satisfying. Looks like you've massively improved your layout David. Awesome job!

    "Remove the barriers between idea and execution" Bro, I think you found the key to life. Idk why, but that line just hit me so profoundly... it literally applies to everything.

    Hey Dave, I have been binge listening to the Making It Podcast lately. I just made it to episode 52. One of the things I hear you say over and over is that you want to have your own style in your videos. I think you have definitely achieved that already. If you dont feel accomplished already, YOU SHOULD. Great job man. I love the hard edits you do and the way you have FUN... ITS ALL JUST FUN... Seriously thanks for the videos and all you do.

  • @ceramicchicken1

    I really enjoy your video style Dave!
    As a weekend hobbyist wood worker I rarely make the projects I watch you breate, but just getting to see the techniques that you use to complete the major steps of the process helps me understand how to apply the same technique on a project I do build.
    Your video style of explaining the thought process you have before a major step (and the added humor) help to understand what is happening during the musical montages.
    Keep up the great work! It really helps people like me, who may not need to build the exact thing that you are building, but are interested in the thought process and watching the technique behind the build!
    The music is also great!

    Congrats on 400k. RUclips has over a billion users. You currently are ranked 18,456th according to social blade. Pretty freaking cool David. That puts you in a population equal to Nuuk the capital of Greenland.

    You know... instead of pocket holes you could have.... OH! Never mind. LOL. That was too funny. Great project. I was just thinking of how clean your shop is. Then you start throwing everything around. Love it! I always love your projects. But I also pay attention to how you put the videos together. Great job. Music was spot on.

      You have the wrong impression. I’ve paid full price for almost all my tools including those indestructible Bessey clamps.

    • @MarkK01
      @MarkK01 6 лет назад

      I have heard you say that in the past, so my apologies for making the assumption. I just cringe when I see tools treated that way as I have to struggle just to get the tools I need or want.

    • @MakeSomething
      @MakeSomething  6 лет назад

      I do understand that. Thing is those clamps can be thrown around all day and not break. The thing that actually ruins them is dried glue on the bars.

    Love how the boards slides under the screen and each other..whole thing looks good Dave you are a one man band and yes pocket hole screws do come in handy with certain applications such as that I was kind open for half blind dovetails but I'll settle for pocketholes lol was really digging the music@6:50-end Well all of the music but I like that part in particular can't beat solid walnut less of course it's Wenge or bubinga;)

    Loved this project video! It's great to see the passion that you have especially when you're building something for yourself.
    I NEED to get back out to my shop. I was put down last Friday by a 7-hour surgery on my leg that included 181 staples. Don't know how long I'll be kept out of my shop but hoping not too long. I'll be watching old videos of Make Something to keep up the inspiration!!

    Hey, Dave... Great build. Glad you're able to get the setup you want/need to put out more awesome content.
    I love the idea of the dry-erase wall but a large portion of it looks to be obstructed by your monitor & speakers and what's not blocked seems like it would be a stretch to reach (could be because I'm only 5'6" LOL). How useful have you found it? Do you wish you'd have done it somewhere else, say, the soon-to-update wood-wall to your desk's left?

    You know I was gonna suggest maybe using dowels that line up with the top piece without gluing them together so you don’t have to worry about it moving and wires would still be accessible.
