Usualy we would just say "ey alter! Spielst du auf ner Kartoffel oder was?" Wich roughly translates to "Are you palying on a Potato or what?"
We also like to call things toaster instead of potato-something. For example if some video has bad quality some might ask "Hast du das mit einem Toaster gefilmt?" Did you film this with a toaster?
Ik it is no new word but maybe a new way of using it :D
@@Walderdbeere14 Norway (and sweden iirc) do also use toaster as way to imply that something is bad (or old) Norway also use texas with the meaning of crazy, sometimes it can mean crazy good or crazy as in unusual

That was my supa. What's funny is I was using a GTX 970 for eight years until it finally croaked late 2023, so my computer is more of a spud than hers.

Question is at what settings afaik 1080Ti will plat at 1920×1080p at medium just fine any higher and you would melt the die

Polka’s old PC is legit ancient spec. A Core 2 Quad with Windows Vista still working in 2020 is considered miracle.

@@johnathanlo7636Core 2 Quad still does alright in a pinch, and as long as you’re not doing something super heavy.
However, using Windows Vista at that point was actively dangerous as Vista was 3 years out of support, and there were some vulnerabilities discovered in Windows 7, 8 and even 10 that were compatible with Vista and XP.

@@keytaros2 to add to the previous comment, we also adopted fake news to a degree, but mainly to use it for memes and comedy, while the german expression remains very political.
Still wild to me, that 70 years or so of attacking the press for lying being a almost exclusively left-wing thing, the roles have now switched and it now comes mostly from the right.
