My hunting buddies and I are all UWSP alumni and hunt layouts almost exclusively. I’m glad you guys are keeping the tradition alive! You will keep these friends for life. In the future we can take you guys on the bay or the big lake. I know the struggle of hunting the stevens point area sometimes 😂
There's always that problem when the wind kicks-up good on open water....that usually separates the-men-from-the-boys!
Diver hunting is GREAT when it's GREAT.......and NOT when it's NOT! We hunted divers for over fifty years straight out of a 14-foot camouflaged fishing boat in the middle of a decoy spread. Keeping the boat straight-with-the-wind was the hard part. Always needed both a bow and stern anchor.
Very true! Some days are better than others, Derek went out the next morning and shot a limit of goldeneye but you never know until you’re out there what will come in!
Most of all.....always wear life vests! There's all kinds on the market for duck hunters!
