@@crimsontechyt That's true, but they introduced in the new generation 2025 Legion 5 with 15.1” OLED, QHD+ (2560x1600), 165Hz. Quite a nice replacement for the 2023 Legion 14. The 1 inch isn't that big of a difference.
best reviewer I see your back to old format much appreciated. About lenovo I had the legion 5i, worst charging cable that I've ever seen after a few months of carrying around the cable was just twisted every where and eventually stoped charging after a few months. I had an older asus 550jk and the cable still works to this day.
I had it (with 32GB of memory) before Zephyrus G14 2023, Legion 7i 2024 and Zephyrus G16 2024 AMD...I'm still certain that this is the best (bang for buck) 14 inch laptop you can get! Only disadvantages for me were a terrable sound quality and glossy screen (I know that every oled is more or less glossy).
It is to expensive in comparision to the newest Zephyrus 16 (R9-Ai-70-16gb) discount price in Germany 1572€ (1849€ - 15%) If you take the Zephyrus as gold standard, this legion has a price of max 1299€ and TUF 14 (R9AI70- 32GB) 1399€ but just because of its 32GB, as 16GB are just not enought for medium professional workload. What do you think
Nice, I wait for full review. Do you know btw if those legion laptops or Zephyrus laptops support Linux well? Thanks and don’t forget the CS dancing guy for the full review 😉

WTF is that knife? Last time I used one I was hunting for prey in the rainforest of Guatemala. Fun trip, but ended up exploding while laughing. Hmm, are you German? I'm confused. First look, it looks fine. But as they tell me, it's what's inside that matters. Even though most people decide from the outside.
@@crimsontechyt I know what Dutch is. :) Dutch is a great warrior who once managed to get me in the same rainforest of Guatemala! He was lucky that he used mud to cover himself, but still, well played! Nice to meet you Dutch. I'm Greek. Keep up the good work. :)
It’s pretty useless. I wish if it has higher refresh rate I wish if it was 144 Hz then I’ll buy it if it’s 120 Hz I will not get used to it by playing FPS games by running 120 Hz playing FPS games I should play one of our hertz because 144 Hz I got used to it
Great laptop, I own it myself. I've been using it for six months now, but in addition to the pros, this model has a couple of unpleasant cons. In modern standby the fans are turned off, so it heats up to 90-100C and drains the battery to zero. I use it in Hibernate mode instead of sleep mode (ryzen issues, I think). Also a big drawback for my personal device is random crashes in Hybrid-Auto mode during the day with BIOS versions above MACN24WW. So I'm just staying with the old bios because I like the feature when it automaticly disabling dgpu when the charger is off. As for the pros, it's a great screen. Watching movies in HDR on it is a great pleasure. Also silent mode, this is one of the few laptops in which the silent mode works adequately and it can be used permanently. It's a pleasure to play and work on it, the performance is great and at the same time it's very quiet. (in silent mode on RTX4060 is allocated 60W). If you turn on perfomance mode - get ready to wear noise-canceling headphones. You can't cheat the laws of physics, a 105W GPU in such a small case will make it noise like a Boeing.😆
@@dmitrykisel9564 I used it at first, but then I installed a lighter program - "Lenovo Legion Toolkit" from github. There's also a useful button that forcibly deactivates dgpu when running on battery.
Super dissapointed they didnt announce a 2025 refresh at ces.
Yeah, they left this baby in the dust since 2023 🥲

Spent too much R&D on that rollable 14" - 16" thinkbook laptop

Idk why but I like the glossy OLED😭😊
Can't wait for the full review
Awesome review❤btw what's your favorite Laptop
im gonna take a blind guess and say its the G14
Of 2024? Definitely the G14 or G16 :)
@@crimsontechyt But if Would Choose between: Lenovo legion 7i or Asus ROG zephyrus g16?
@@DaComando I haven't had the chance to review the Legion 7i yet, so I can't speak on that unfortunately
@@crimsontechyt I recommend You To Review it It Has higher performance than g16 but thicker and has a better cooling
I like that this laptop have 180 degrees, i'll find it very usefull. We all waiting full review:)
YAH now i can understand everything in your video. Thanks you!
Lenovo better continue making a 14 inch gaming laptop like this but with intel+TB5, and AMD options
yoooooo this laptop looks VERY promising!
I have the same model with 32gb ddr5, feels and looks really nice. Still love it after almost 1 year of usage
Does oled screen burns??
@ didn’t notice anything wrong with the screen. Looks same as it was on first day

I never forget him 😎
Linux support differs a lot per model, so unfortunately i dont really know 🥲
When will you give the full review vid?😊
This sunday :)
@crimsontechyt cool ❤️
Pls, use a light saber in your next vid
So hard to find one in EU 😔

Nice laptop, but the knife is the star of the video
Hi guys
Today I caught us30 1: 20 🎉🎉 so am rewarding my self with a new g14 5080 when ever it will come out

how compare to a14 ryzen 7 8845hs? i just bought that
They're about the same :)
The Legion has slightly better build quality
@@crimsontechyt perfect, i got the a14 for nice price so ill stick with it
Soldered RAM, so 32GB should be gotten. Otherwise, this may be a solid competitor to the ASUS A14, although its decidedly last-gen.

Everything is great about this laptop except it is a bit heavy for a 14-incher.
What about cooling
This isn't the full review yet 🙃
@crimsontechyt oh my bad😅
Do all oled panels in laptops have shiny and glare finish?
Most of them are glossy, but not necessarily reflective.
The G14 and G16 have an anti-reflective layer, and some laptops have a matte coating
Something thats 16 inch please. I luv BIGG laptops:)
I'll do a lot more 16 inchers this year!
It is pretty funny that my hp pavilion got a bigger charging brick than this one but with only 45 watts
A Cheese Knife, really?😂😂😂 But the Laptop is cool🎉
A better knife is coming HAHA

Why are you making a last gen video as new releases have been pre-launched at CES? Noobs will buy old inventory due to your poor ethics.
Pre-launched? Lenovo hasn't updated the Slim 5 14 since Ryzen Gen 7 lol.
It's not my fault they're not releasing anything new
