TT4 is way more gritty. Martin scorsece movies are flashy, not bennys style as opposed to push who always had a more luxurious approach & feel to the music
Always find it weird that people even have a problem with this as they bump these autotune mumblers that only rap about how rich they are and how many women they have sex with.
He doesn't tho. He's excellent with analogies and metaphors all while using drug talk to deliver his bars, but it's deeper than that. He does it way better than most.
People get so dismissive when you tell them Pusha is up there with the greatest - but that's how you can tell whether or not they're *really* listening to his music
@@CaelanDafydd nah I get that 100%. I just heard of him but never heard his music. Because of that I was sleeping on him, less of a case of being told he's amazing and me not believing them if you get me. I'm very much a "show me a song and I'll listen to it" then if if I like it I'll check out more of their catalogue.
“Cane is sugar and cut by Dominicans” This line references the fact that in the Caribbean(places like Dominican Republic) they cut sugar cane to make sugar. And this is a metaphor for his Dominican connects that cut his cocaine. Pusha is genius
Just in the first verse and that STANK face from George at every bar is sending me lmao. So glad you checked this one out guys, enjoy the album both of you!
Pusha T is so eloquent. He's able to create wonderful imagery in his rhymes. plus the delivery is incredibly deliberate in how he enunciates. With his skill, he can make coke references for 20 more years
Im a little blazed but i just love the way yall make it seem so natural when interacting with the camera… it‘s almost as if the viewer is hanging out in a room with yall :) bless you guys!
Drake's verse on Churchill Downs with Jack Harlow was actually leaked weeks ago. "All I hear is plug talk come from middlemen". Pusher actually did an interview before the album release and talk about the leak verse and said that he had a song addressing anybody who coming for him. He literally responded to Drake's verse before the song even came out lol. That's why he had that middleman bar on this track. This man has been one step ahead of Drake since Daytona lmfao
Metalhead here and its my first time hearing Pusha T, and wow! So atmospheric and "dense" while being minimalist. Awesome bass-line too, is it sampled or nah?
"My boys in the hood is mixed with the menaces The cane is sugar and cut by Dominicans" *Caine ( The actor from Menace ll society) *Sugarcane *Cocaine Also he mention Dominican, which is also known as Dominicano, which is close to saying Domino, which is a brand of sugar. (But maybe I'm reaching on this one)
Yo. 35 minute album. You're almost half way through it. These breakdowns are epic. Feeling like you haven't even touched the best songs yet. Finishing it would be dope. LFG
I love yalls reactions and yall give me so much more insight into some of the things he mentions I don't be familiar with lol. Glad yall did this one! Thanks for the amazing videos Lost In Vegas!
For the breitling line, you receive one for FREE when you purchase a Bentley continental hence the left and right wing reference. He sayin he’d never where a watch people get for free basically
This could be a reach, but… Him sending your bitch to Cuba could be a Drug Trafficking reference. He said in another song Dreaming of the Past “Tryna move the Dope through…IN YO SISTER”. That thrill could be from what he’s sending her there to bring back. Idk. lol.
You know I’ve watched their reactions since 2018 and they respected Pusha Ts songs but you could tell they weren’t huge Pusha fans. Fast forward to now every reaction they’ve made you can tell they are becoming Pusha fans and it’s great to see
@@gillatineking3236 Exactly. I am from Alabama and I have been telling people to listen to Push since the first time I listened to him and his brother back in 2000. He still doesnt get the respect he deserves, even though he has dropped two albums of the year back to back, but it is great seeing people open their eyes a little bit and not focusing on the wack ass mainstream rappers
Excellent writing and word play in this song. Although not my life experience, I can appreciate his perspective and skill. Not overly thrilled that he seems to condone dealing drugs as a viable occupation. His skill as a writer is phenomenal. The Stimulus line made me chuckle. Good song.
I was going to work this morning and was listening to this song. When the fly your bitch to Cuba bar hit i immediatly thought of you going crazy over the line! 😂
“It’s cowboys & Indians”-“track hawks not my equivalent” cowboys & Indians rode horses. Pusha references Ferrari throughout his music this was another example. 🔥
Pusha knows how to make you feel broke 😂 You could’ve just bought a Rolex and be real proud of it, then he’ll say he wouldn’t be caught dead wearing something so cheap LMAO
I think the white privilege line also refers to a lot of successful people who happened to be white, do a lot of cocaine. And yet, even though they've been busted. They get away with it.
To give some background the Vlad TV interview was with his ex-manager who was a kingpin. In the interview Vlad asked, "How much of The Clipse rhymes are about your life?" And he answered 95%. So Push got a few responses on the album.
The “you missing the point these drums ain’t Timbalands” line was referencing drums of YAY/Yayo because Kanye/YE’ produced the song fellas. I always like y’all breakdowns and enthusiasm though.
He wasn't lying when he called himself the Martin Scorsese of street rap. Joint sounds cinematic as hell!
You didn’t hear tana talk 4 then
@@MadMaxTopShotta Stop it, TT4’s production doesn’t even come close. And I enjoyed TT4 a lot.

TT4 is way more gritty. Martin scorsece movies are flashy, not bennys style as opposed to push who always had a more luxurious approach & feel to the music
“The book of blow, just know, I’m the Genesis” is one of the hardest bars. Pusha T will always be the GOAT
Pusha is such a great writer that he can write 100 songs about coke and still keep my interest. Imagine if he expanded
"Brick by brick, we kept open dealerships"
Thats alotta "keys" 🤔
OMG YOOOOOOOOOO I JUST NOTICED THAT
And vehicles... Vessels
Once you get past the fact he just raps about drugs, you’ll realize the beauty in the writing! Damn near poetry🤦🏾♂️
Always find it weird that people even have a problem with this as they bump these autotune mumblers that only rap about how rich they are and how many women they have sex with.
Yep, I think that’s the magic with Pusha. His subject matter barely changes but his wordplay and cold-blooded delivery keeps me engaged.
But a lot of times, he's actually rapping about more than drugs underneath he surface.
He doesn't tho. He's excellent with analogies and metaphors all while using drug talk to deliver his bars, but it's deeper than that. He does it way better than most.
I mean he CAN do it all but he just stays in his bag cuz no one can do it better. He snapped on Runaway too
Im loving the joker laugh the whole album! He said pharell made him watch the movie before he wrote the album!

King Push always delivers…YUUUUUCCCCKKKK!!!!!!
The middleman line also has to be a quick response to Drake’s leak dissing Push again and calling him a middle man.
Yeah I thought the same. Could have been already recorded before that leak hit, but doesn't make it any less dope that it aligns with that regardless.
Definitely is.
"Designer drugs turn niggas limitless" referring to that movie with Bradley Cooper Limitless
Always love your in depth breakdowns ya'll!
