TT4 is way more gritty. Martin scorsece movies are flashy, not bennys style as opposed to push who always had a more luxurious approach & feel to the music

Always find it weird that people even have a problem with this as they bump these autotune mumblers that only rap about how rich they are and how many women they have sex with.
Yep, I think that’s the magic with Pusha. His subject matter barely changes but his wordplay and cold-blooded delivery keeps me engaged.
But a lot of times, he's actually rapping about more than drugs underneath he surface.
He doesn't tho. He's excellent with analogies and metaphors all while using drug talk to deliver his bars, but it's deeper than that. He does it way better than most.
I mean he CAN do it all but he just stays in his bag cuz no one can do it better. He snapped on Runaway too
Pusha is such a great writer that he can write 100 songs about coke and still keep my interest. Imagine if he expanded
“Cane is sugar and cut by Dominicans”
This line references the fact that in the Caribbean(places like Dominican Republic) they cut sugar cane to make sugar. And this is a metaphor for his Dominican connects that cut his cocaine.
Pusha is genius
Also that Cane means Caine, who was thhe main character in Menace II Society. Which relates to the Boyz in the Hood and Menaces line
I'm not proud to say this but I've been sleeping on Pusha T way too long. That is something this song made me realize.

@@CaelanDafydd nah I get that 100%. I just heard of him but never heard his music. Because of that I was sleeping on him, less of a case of being told he's amazing and me not believing them if you get me.
I'm very much a "show me a song and I'll listen to it" then if if I like it I'll check out more of their catalogue.

Pusha T is so eloquent. He's able to create wonderful imagery in his rhymes.

Drake's verse on Churchill Downs with Jack Harlow was actually leaked weeks ago. "All I hear is plug talk come from middlemen". Pusher actually did an interview before the album release and talk about the leak verse and said that he had a song addressing anybody who coming for him. He literally responded to Drake's verse before the song even came out lol. That's why he had that middleman bar on this track. This man has been one step ahead of Drake since Daytona lmfao

Excellent writing and word play in this song. Although not my life experience, I can appreciate his perspective and skill. Not overly thrilled that he seems to condone dealing drugs as a viable occupation. His skill as a writer is phenomenal. The Stimulus line made me chuckle. Good song.
