"Specialized in not getting locked up, Akon" basically Akon's whole persona was built around his conviction and him going to prison for 4 years before his music career started. Apparently in 2008 it came up that he was never convicted and didn't get a jail sentence

AKA rest in peace" exes deceased is on the surface linked to AKA Rest in Peace. However, if you play on the homophony of Exes deceased, you will see that he is also paying homage to DMX i.e., X is deceased which now is linked at the underlying layer to R.I.P.

I think the Akon bar could also be looked at as “A con” as in a convict.

one of those few channels doing the most in the lyrical breakdown... pusha been one of hip hops most sneakiest, cerebral lyricists since clipse... deciphering him aint the easiest to breakdown, to get all the bars you need to listen to one song a couple times and still he going over most heads

To give more depth to the Jim Perdue line … Perdue just doesn’t sell “meats” specifically they sell CHICKEN aka they sell “Birds” . Perdue also is known for not injecting their birds with hormones meaning by comparison there’s is more “pure” . Push (much like Jay-Z) is hyper detailed in how he crafts his meanings, references and entendres . Fun fact: Jim Perdue also has a doctorate in Fisheries .. if you understand drugs you understand how that is a funny coincidence when it comes to Pusha and referencing “Jim” specifically by his government.
In addition ,I’d like to point out that The Joker identity Push assumes throughout the album … I remind everyone that the Joker is an EXPERT CHEMIST .. I assure you these coincidences all add up to supreme conceptualization and intention . That boy good 👏🏿

in my opinion the second half of the album is weak enough to put it below MMESYF from Denzel but it's definitely a solid record.

Akon built his brand around being locked up, doing hard time etc. but looking deeper it proved Akon was very liberal/bluffing about most of what he claimed. I remember watching a good documentary on it somewhere on RUclips.

The album is flawless the only song I know for sure I’m not coming back to is the one with Lil Uzi and Don Toliver but I wouldn’t skip it in the flow of the album.

I still have to stew on this album to see where it ranks in Push's discography (DAYTONA is a near masterpiece IMO) but I can definitely say that Push has ascended to legendary status in my eyes. The flows are effortless, the bars hit hard as fuck, the vocal intonations are always PERFECT. The ad libs are on point, the beat selection complement him. I mean, what else do you want from a hip hop album?
EDIT: Just a thought, possibly a reach. That laughing ad lib that's all over the album really reminds me of a new interpretation of Conway's laughing adlib. Am I reaching? It's dope either way, but if it is (because I haven't heard that from Push before), Conway was right when he said "Lotta albums are suddenly startin' to feel a lil' more Griselda-esque" on Spurs 3. Legends inspiring legends is always good.
Man I'd love a Conway x Pusha track. Yeah, I think it that's a cool way of looking at it. I think whenever he does the Joker laugh, it's usually following a bar that relates to a joker/arthur fleck trait or behaviour that could be somewhat compared to him. Either way, project is fire as were Conway and Benny's new albums and this coke rap era we're blessed to be living in 🔥
