Thank you very much my friend!!! If you liked this one that much then i can insure you that on this Saturday you will watch the video 3 or 4 times because i remain speechless wait i saw her with her colors the 1st time!!!
Hello John, it's getting more and more fantastic. And now I finaly understand why you isolated those two plates on the keel, great idea, to make the contacts virtually invisible. Best wishes Simon 😊
Thank you very much my friend!!! Yes with this way i have power supply and no visible wires. I have painted the side of the wires in copper color so now they blend in with the hull :)
Hi John first i want to say i love your channel and subscribed after watching i have started my first wooden ship Artesania 1/65 La Nina i also have an Australian kit coming from modellers shipyard called a schooner for port Jackson i can see myself building wooden ships from now on its a nice change from plastic kits and your Victory is looking beautiful.
Ottimo lavoro Jhon veramente tanti complimenti sia per il tuo ottimo lavoro di modellista e per i tuoi simpaticissimi e bellissimi cani. Un caro saluto e rimango in attesa di un prossimo video
John the detail in the copper plating is wonderful. Did you keep track of how many hours you invested in doing only the copper plating? You do such a great job with the details, I would not be supprised to see barnicals forming on the hull. 😂 Poor Wolf got caught sleeping on the job. He was still sleepy but wanted his red ball anyway. - Mike
Is the plating actually made of copper, if so are you going to let it patina naturally, or seal it? I think would look great with the greenish copper patina color, but it looks fantastic as is!
Hi Bill! Yes they are real copper plates, pretty thin but copper. I was thinking a way of avoid the greenish color because i love my models to be like they were when they came out of the "factory", so i have varnished the copper plates with gloss varnish. I tried matt, satin and gloss in some of the remaining plates and the gloss was exactly as it was before the varnishing with a very slight change in color that is unnoticeable. Wait until you see her with her colors on!

Hello John, when the Victory is finished, i wouldn't be surprised if you received an offer or two from maritime museums or libraries to purchase her fir display. A true work of art. My question: As you placed every copper plate with ca glue, did you have any problems with ca glue residue on the plates? If so, how did you clean them?
Thank you very much my friend!!! I wish, then i could build her again!!! Yes, i had lots of problems. I tried wooden sticks but i could remove only minor glue residue. Then i tried asetone and i started to have discoloration on the plates. Finally i had the solution, i had to varnish them. I tried on the spare plates satin, matt and gloss varnish. The outcome of the gloss was exactly the same of the original hue of the plates with a minor change of the color but not noticeable.
@John Aliprantis Very interesting! I will try it. You're generous with your tips and experience. Billing Boats should hire you as an ambassador for their products
