Hey John, I wanted to say thank you so much for putting these videos together ! It’s very helpful to see how someone else does these tasks, even if they’re not building the same kit. However, I also have the same kit you are building here, but it’s a little ways down my project list. 😀 Thanks again for sharing ! Jeff
Nice work, John.👍. Those ropes of scale are an improvement. Rigging is one of my favourite parts to do on a model ship although I enjoy doing the standing rigging more than the running rigging. Ratlines are quite tedious to do I agree.
Good morning John I have been watching your videos from SANTANNA . I am from malta and it feels like I know you for a long time. Now let the fun begin. According to the plans, I can not understand much. Only with your help, I can finish the model thank you, and keep it up John.
Someone commented on your video about the Santa Anna I thought they said they were building it now. I mentioned to Artisania that they needed to bring it back. They agreed
@@AmbersCorner2.0 My friend, even if they do bring it back, it would have nothing to do with the original. It will be like the Endeavour, full of paint and laser cut pieces...
Hey John, the ropes look good. Very interested in the ropes… how do you like them? I don’t really like OcCre ropes… what sizes did you get??? I know.. let’s play 20 questions!!! But I am excited to see your new ropes. Been thinking of ropes for months now…. Model is very attractive Jerry
Hi Jerry! Yes the ropes are great! The sizes are + 0.2 - 0.3 mm more than the sizes the kit has on each and every type. For instance the 0.15 is 0.45, the 0.5 is 0.7 and goes on.
@@JohnsWoodenShips that is Awsome John. The look very attractive and solid, very strong and they look like the will last awhile. Thank you John. How have you been?
Thank you Yves! She is looking better with the rigging! No there wasn't a problem with the ropes of the kit. The ropes of scale were just much better and gave the model a different look for the best :)
John have to ever considered making your own ropes? Occre's ropes are nice but the home made ropes I believe are better. Just one man's opinion. Ps. I live your videos, you are the man.
Hi George! yes i have but i think it's going to be too much of a trouble so i haven't tried it yet. Also i need some equipment to do that. Thank you very much for your kind words!!!
Ahora sí, va tomando forma. Está quedando precioso. Excelente John!
Thank you very much Jorge!!!
Very nice, John. The ropes look great.
Thank you very much Michael!!! they are indeed very good :)

Even a piece of wood with the right tools and work can become a work of art! I am glad that you like her and she is not my finest job!
I hope you like my rope John! It's looking really good so far on the model. I'm looking forward to more rigging. 👍
