I agree with you I really like the looks the interior and everything about this vehicle but when I heard in line 4 with a Turbo I immediately shut off the video
Problem with Rav4s is that they are the default. That means that quite often they represent either a poor real-world value or excessive wait times due to supply and demand. For example, you're going to pay full sticker for a Rav4 Prime and wait 6 months, or potentially pay way over sticker. Meanwhile, you might get a Equinox Active for 4% under Invoice ordering from Granger and that pays for a LOT of gas or minor repairs down the road. And with high production vehicles like the Equinox, there's usually inexpensive aftermarket parts available for when the vehicle is old so you don't have to pay full OEM sticker price, making maintenance cheap. @@thebeddoctor4273
@carlosovni7100 the equinox is much nicer than the current Rav4. For sure. But boopsnoot mentioned reliability. And Toyota will kill that equinox in that department all day. That's why I'm hoping the Next gen Rav4 will be nicer instead of bland
I’m interested because the current Equinox rides remarkably smoother than the current RAV4 to the point where it’s not even comparable and it got a good repair record too. I’ve driven a few and really liked them. Also the auto start at stop lights in the RAV4 isn’t smooth at all. It’s really jerky.
It really looks great, inside and out. Thanks, guys. I really do wish that I could get the venerable GM 3800 V6 in this, as the gas mileage would be the same or more, and it would have more power. BUT... overall, this is a nice improvement over the current model, with good styling in the vein of the Trax & Traverse.
@redsoxfan26401 they still make the 1995-2009 3.6 V6 block gmpartscenter for $3210. I had one in my 2000 impala without the super charger. That's nice of them and great price!😊
I was interested in this new Chevrolet until you mentioned that the sole engine option is a 1.5L 175hp engine. Not sure why when Chevy could have easily put the 2.7L 4cyl. engine in as an option. Looks good overall and will probably sell well because most people don't even care how much hp they have. I for one do.
I love your videos. I’m purchasing new car this year and you guys have helped me narrow down my top three to test drive. I own a 2015 Equinox that has been a great car for me so I’m not deciding anything until I can test drive the 2025 RS AWD. No CVT for me. Looking forward to your opinions in a test drive video.
I'm in the same boat as you, what have you narrowed it down to? For me it's down to the new camry, equinox, sonata and buick envista. I know they're all in a different class, but there's reasons for why they're all on my list
Yep - lets go grab my off-roading weekend group and head out! What you gonna bring? My Wrangler Rubicon. What are you going to bring? My Chevy Equinox with Maple Sugar interior - ROFL!!!
I love my 2019 Premier. Doesn’t look like they are bringing the multi-zone rear seat heating to this new generation. My rear seats allow passengers to heat their back, bottom, or both. Also looks like they may have moved the HomeLink and dome light controls to the infotainment system from the overhead cluster. I understand it reduces parts but adds more touches/clicks to accomplish a task.
Thank you for bringing timely video explanations of new cars. It's a great car, but it's coming out too late. In Asia Tianjin city is estimated to wait until 2026 to have a better price.
Is the trunk wide enough to carry the occasional 4x8' sheet of plywood or sheetrock? Any dimensions available yet? Love the fact that the interior has color!
Do you have any news about PHEV offering? This Equinox will be offered with PHEV in China, with the same system as the Buick Velite 6, and I would love to see this configuration available even on the Trax and Envista models as well! Seems simple enough... Good job as always !
Like the new look. One word of advice to Chevrolet, ditch the crappy CVT transmission on FWD models. Your new aggressive design needs a bigger engine option and a reliable 8 speed transmission across all the models. Not everyone needs AWD, but everyone expects a sold and reliable 8 speed transmission. Leave the CVT's to the small lightweight vehicles that they will last in. It amazes me they didn't put one of those rubber band CVT's in the new Trax. Well, they didn't cheap out on the transmission, but they did on the tiny 3-cylinder engine that will more than likely never see 150,000 miles. A nice size four cylinder naturally aspirated engine would have been the ticket for the Trax, and the consumer could count on longevity to go with it. 3 cylinders belong in Motorcycles not cars.
I noticed they dropped the LS version. So now people will have to pay more. A 2024 LS Equinox could be had for 27k. It look like the cheapest a 2025 will be is 30k or more! It is also underpowered. Also, does anyone know how many times he said rugged?
I was interested until I heard about the 1.5L 175hp engine. GM put so much energy on form, not so much on function. There needs to be a turbo or PHEV option.
Looks like they copied much of their styling cues from the 2021-2023 Hyundai Santa Fe, from the location of the headlights, to the door sculpting, and to the shape of the tail lights...
GM's design department really found their groove because they've been coming out with some fantastic-looking vehicles lately. That said, everything they're selling in America, outside of their body-on-frame trucks, comes from China and Korea. Don't let the bowtie fool you. If you're ok with buying a Korean vehicle, I suggest going with Hyundai or Kia over GM Korea. They're poop.
@@brucekalter4206 My Hyundai Elantra was built in America. That doesn't make it an American-designed and engineered vehicle. The same goes for the Mexican-built Equinox.
Same thing. I was told about the 2023 RS blah, blah, as always all looks and no power the 1. 5 engine is useless, the suspension is terrible it feels like there's no shocks at all
This what suppose to be my new dream car but they keep pushing back on production. So I ended up with a 23 rogue sv with premium for 5k off MSRP. Damn this rogue is amazing. Too bad Chevy is run by an incompetent moron
That engine is weak boo!!! That’s why my creamy yams only cross shop Bimmers, Benzs and Bentleys!!! Y’all know my BBL is priceless so my man best not get me anything like some Chevy!!!! Sorry not sorry boo boo!!!!
With all of the different colors and finishes, the exterior looks piecemealed together. No thank you to CVT engines. I recently traded in my 2018 Chevy Equinox for a 2023 Hyundai Palisade with 18,000 miles that has more features and room than this top trim level for less than this car. Chevy is overpriced as usual. Also, if the back seat is anything like my 2018c the middle seat is almost unusable, and this car is basically a 4 seater.
Fell in love with it until it had the 1.5. Turbo. The Mazda CX 50 turbo 230 hp. General Motors why do you always fall short great body great interior pussy engine

Why can't Chevy set all their specs in this very time?
Looks nice...just wish they would offer a beefier engine option to go with the looks.
I agree with you I really like the looks the interior and everything about this vehicle but when I heard in line 4 with a Turbo I immediately shut off the video
So true
I miss when they had the 2.0 turbo as an option
100%
It wasn't a lot of people buying the 2.0t engine, so it was removed. You, the public only have yourselves to blame.
Chevrolet has been killing it with their new designs. I love what they’re doing.🇺🇸💪
they aren’t playing with the interior any more 🔥
STYLING IS A PERFECT 10/10... SALES WILL SKYROCKET ❤❤❤
This thing looks great inside and out. Thanks for the detailed overview
As an owner of a 2020 LT AWD I'm highly interested in this. It looks really good.
Never thought I'd say this, but my next vehicle may be a Equinox if Chevy can figure out how to make them reliable. That Activ trim looks sweet!
I'd wait and see what the new redesign Toyota Rav4 looks like. Or lease the chevy so it's always under warranty

Dang, a rav4 hybrid will run laps around this thing and get better mpg while doing it. Sub 200 is terrible, even for 5-10 years ago 😮
