    Thanks for watching this episode! We love the Chesapeake Bay and hopefully, this video does justice to the cruising grounds here.
    ...and sorry for that cliffhanger 😮 at 27minutes long, I figured we'll go into more details in another video.

    Oh man! That’s never a good feeling! We are headed up there on our sailboat, also a Catalina, from Florida in about a month. Great to get so much information about the area and anchorages, thank you guys!

    Great episode! Glad you got to Urbanna, even driving. I think I saw you go passed us a couple days ago. We're anchored out by the Tiki bar😂 big blue boat can't miss it.

    Ah, Kilmarnock! Just down the road. Chesapeake Doughnut was pretty awful last time we tried. Drop an anchor in Mill Creek for a night. Beautiful.

    am looking at flexible 100W or so solar panels. Noticed your set on the Bimini. What kind? Satisfied?
    Thanks! Been to Annapolis and St Michaels. Now I'll add some of your other suggestions.

    Missed you guys! It's been quite awhile since your last vlog. Thank you for catching us all up....on "Where in the world are the Foster's?" Dragging anchor simply s#@cks.
    Why go through the stress of potential or real keel damage? ALWAYS set an ANCHOR WATCH app. There are multiple ones for your cell phones and I am guessing your Nav MFD probably has one also. I prefer my cell phone as it draws less juice from the house bank then the MFD even with the display turned off. Fair winds!
    Sailing Ruby Rose has an episode in which they went ashore for dinner and drinks in Thailand only to dinghy back to their brand new $1M dollar catamaran to find it missing. In a nutshelll, the tide rose, the wind shifted and they had insufficient scope so their boat dragged away into deep water. Luckily they found it several miles from where they anchored unharmed.

    Quick Q, can you just run the main engine to charge the batteries, even at anchor, if the sun is not out to charge the batteries?

    • @TheFosterJourney
      @TheFosterJourney  5 месяцев назад

      That's a last resort type option, but it's not a good option.

    • @ezmn9663
      @ezmn9663 5 месяцев назад

      @@TheFosterJourney BTW, sorry about you keel, should have mentioned that first :)
      Why is it not a good option? Fuel usage or bad to just idle for motor health?
