I find it as obnoxious "out of charachter" moment that is typical for russian dub, because russian translators often translate texts to match the timings of the original. Even if they don't need it.
Spy-still has a french accent and sounds similar basically sounds exactly like how you'd imagine spy would sound speaking russian Soldier-sounds weirdly Japanese but I guess it's a attempt at a gruff ¿American? accent that's also somehow speaking perfectly fluent Russian which might do that but I'm not sure what the intention is Scout-went with a very gopnik type voice direction makes sense to be honest Heavy-is heavy

Шпион is spelled as such: Ш is Sh like shoe, п is p, и is i, о is still o, and н is n. Shpion (shh-pee-on) Шпион means "Spy" as you might have guessed.
In the Russian version of the game soldier is a Japanese imperialist Soldier from Iwo Jima who stole a Marines uniform to try and sneak out and sabotage the enemy. However to survive he had to act American as best he could, which went like you would expect. This pared with the extreme culture shock (mostly the fact he really REALLY got into caricature) drove him insane making him forget his original mission, name, and country. But he kept the habit of always keeping his eyes covered, so neither he nor anyone else will ever know. Amazing addition to the game and adds to the world building. Expesauly because there are no Ashians in the US version. Very cool.
Трахнуть (trUkh-noot') is a kind of a mild option for a word meaning "to fuck". The most obscene word would be выебать (vI-ye-but', ы sound not like i, but foreigners have the most problems with that sound).
I think they could have kept the sounds the Sniper makes and the words the Medic says, since they don't actually say anything in english in the original.
@@different_stuff yes, but sometimes those grunts sound worse than original ones and it sounds bad. Also Russian dubbers tend to add extra grunts for no reason, and if sometimes it's actually better that way, it may sound silly

Nope, it's just that the localizers didn't translate the scout's words in this frame into Russian, but the soldier's words "Safe and sound" were translated.
The soldier's voice sounds like the Japanese voice of every anime villain ever.
