Fascinating watching you fix the tractor Simon. Fresh veggies. The forest thinning has turned out amazing too. Nature….and the birds sound delightful. ❤️🇦🇺🇸🇪

Good day Sara and Simon, the thinning job to the forest looks fantastic, I hope your gardens produce in abundance this season, great job on tractor. I have most of the garden in, beans, cabbage, lettuce, tomatoes, Brussels sprouts. Take care.

Hi Mark, I wish I could grow Brussels here, for years me and the children would pick them Christmas morning but the growing season is so short what can be grown is limited. But here hoping what does go in produces and good luck with yours I hope you get everything you need from it.

I dont understand when maintenance is neglected. Machinery is costly and if not taken care of it is a waste of money. Take care of equipment and it will take care of you. Nice job nursing the tractor simon.

I agree and am 100% with you, not everyone understands or is capable. The other really unseen issue in this location is the absolute need for heavy machinery and how poor a region it is. There is a fine line here between neglect and bare minimum and I think this was the wrong side of that line but it is good for a few more seasons now.

Hello Sara & Simon. Great video Simon, really enjoyed you sharing. You definitely live in a different part of the world that many could probably never adapt too. Not sure I could ever come to terms with 24 hr daylight. How long does constant daylight last? I hope you have a successful garden with a plentiful harvest. Keep up the great work, remember to press record and keep sharing. Thanks again friends.

      Hi Michael,
yes the record button, I have wasted many hours that way. Darkness will return in later August and daylight will leave us November and December. It takes a few years to adjust to the extremes, -30 to +30 and total darkness to constant light and everything in between. No life to ciaos, it keeps you on your toes and fit. The lack of junk food and constant life means that obese is no here, Thank you and keep well.

@@arctic-rebel thank you Simon and stay healthy as well. I've been down all week with something but on the mend now finally. Not sure what it was but it was bad and sudden. Went to bed feeling great, woke up horrible. Thanks again friend and get some sleep.. 1am and full sun, nah not for me. Lol.

When it comes to people I have pissed off, the line is long. In fact it goes around the block! You and I have have discussed on Mr Murffy before, when he gets to the front of the line, I going to knock him out.

Simon Sir... if I didn't know any better, I'd say you are addicted to fixing other people's equipment - at your own cost! Grand job!
One question... where you pointed at the oil leak... you mentioned that there was water going to that "housing" - would that be an oil cooler and could it be where the water is getting into the oil?
I'm looking forward to seeing the plantings - interesting the differences in the soil types and just how the deposits change so quickly!
Happy spring - happy planting! I hear happy chickens and I see a very quiet Kasper - seems he's still in need of play things!!😁👍

Hi AJ, i thought I had mentioned the fact that what ever that oil/water intersection is could be the exchange of fluids but I did not. So yes it could be. Thank you as always for your support.

I just wanted to add, this repair and service was not at my cost everything was paid for and I got paid a little and get to use and get the use of the land so yes I don't get paid much or often but do get to trade and many benefits. It is a different way of living and no one earns much here. To add to that I have less than most if that is possible so am also fortunate to be able to help those who need it with the skill set I have.

@@arctic-rebel It is great that you can use your skills to get along better in the long run! I think bartering skills and time may just be the way to go! I'd like to "earn" the right to use a bit of someone else's ground - and they can benifite too!
Way to go Simon! May your gardens grow strong!

The levers on the floor is for the pto. Short one independent/wheel dependent pto.
    Long one pto clutch.
Wheel dependent pto means the pto follows choosen gear (backwards too) this can be used with pto driven wagons.
