I love how Sting just features Stevie and doesn't cut in or sing and just supports him on the chorus. So beautiful and done with so much love and respect. No need for Sting to sing since he has sung it and we can hear a million versions of him singing it live on youtube. That's what you call a class act!
I love Stevies lower register... Sting is just a great singer/musician... so these two together is just a gift... Stevie always just amazes me with his musicianship...doesn't matter what he plays, he's better than most... and vocally...well...not many can touch him even now....
One of my favorite songs of all time. Was one of my father's favorite and then he introduced it to me when I was a child. Close to thirty years later it remains in my heart and mind. Stevie Wonder does justice to it I feel in bringing that raw emotion to the vocals. Finally, I didn't grasp the meaning fully until I had become an adult. To me it speaks to the human condition. This song is timely and really hits now with what is going on in the world (injustices, violence of war, etc.). Thank you for reacting to it.
This is one of my favorite albums by Sting and of course I adore Stevie Wonder. However, you need to listen to this whole album. I'm so glad you did this song and the duet. Two ultimate powerhouse performers sitting side-by-side. What a gift.
I used like 3 different programs to turn the original video into an MP3. I'm a HUGE Stevie and Sting fan.... and i've always loved the original of this song; but this...... will be played at my funeral.
the song was written about Nicaragua and it's fight from oppression but is certainly pertinent in today's violent times. If only people in power would actually listen to the message here.
Yeah, this was a concert Sting did for his birthday iirc. He didn't sing lead a lot on it (it's his birthday, give him a breake), but plenty of amazing artists. Robert Downey Jr on Driven to Tears (phenomenal), Lady Gaga, Bruce Springsteen all came and sang on his songs, either solo or with The Police.
Great version! By the way, you may be interested in a duet Sting did with Gurrumul on French TV some years ago, singing Every Breath You Take - ruclips.net/video/NX6X-nhVczQ/видео.html. The story behind it is quite amusing - Gurrumul didn’t really know who Sting was, while Sting was a huge fan of G. They had difficulty translating the song into Yolngu, and G wouldn’t really take the project seriously or rehearse up until just before the performance, but once they started he played flawlessly and also improvised to raise the song up a notch. Sting is doing most of the singing, and it’s certainly worth a watch for both of them.
Oh Stevie. What a legend. Sting was quite happy to sit back and play the shaker for this song even thought he wrote it. What amazing performers...
Just Beautiful!!!
Stevie Wonder, no wonder he’s one of the best in the world 🌟His voice is silk!👏👏

Thank you for reminding me Of the pure brilliance that is Mr Stevie Wonder. That harmonica solo brought chills.
Legendary Stevie Wonder💕Kudos to Sting legend in his own right for giving Stevie the space and respect he deserves 👍😎
When everything genius comes together...that's when magic happens! You recognized it...therefore 10/10 for your reaction! Well done boy!

Many try...but there's nothing like the original.
In a post honoring Stevie Wonder, Sting declared Stevie Wonder was "his mentor".

The run at 3:11, wowww. How fragile we are. Legendary, masterful! Made me stop and replay it....got me emotional. Stevie is absolutely amazing!
Dude, he’s like doing runs with the harmonica! Ha ha! So damn talented.
Reminds me of the eleven year old "Little"Stevie Wonder back in the day. From prodigy to Virtuoso 🎶
Yes, and yes again!💖👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾💖
John Farnham is a huge Stevie Wonder fan and loves his voice. He's mentioned it a few times. Stevie is as brilliant as ever here.🥰

Stevie hears notes in between notes and makes the song his own.
My all time favorite male singer.

My favourite Sting song is with Algerian Cheb Mami “desert rose” that combo is deadly
Piel de gallina con estos dos...
