I absolutely loved the M107. I was in a mechanized infantry unit and our sniper teams had a few of them. I was not on the sniper teams but they knew I was an expert marksmen so they invited me to shoot one of the M107's on a little range they had made just outside the wire of our FOB. I got to shoot at a torso target at 300 yards and a fridge at 580 yards. At that distance it was pretty darn accurate. That rifle is much heavier than it looks but the recoil was far less than I expected. I have been in love with that rifle ever since and hope to own one some day. I only shot standard ball ammo but maybe some day I will get a chance to shoot some of that raufoss ammo.

.50 caliber Browning M2 MG is what I call one-man fire power when it's mounted on the 2 1/2 driver cab top ring, or on a turret, or on a boat, jeep, etc.. It recoils and shakes like an SOB, but it kills people, cars, trucks, copters and aluminum armor carriers. I have seen an AP round shot through engine block. What happened to the goat it hits, small pieces ?

After I figured out what I was doing wrong, after I dumped my first scope and its stupid BDC mount for the Barrett factory rings on a better scope, and after I learned how to shoot a spring piston pellet gun, I got pretty remarkable accuracy out of mine. It took roughly 250 rounds of ammo to learn that the best hold on that gun is NO HOLD AT ALL. Level it out, load the bipod, and pull that trigger straight back, letting only your thumb and forefinger touch the gun. Same as a pellet gun, for the same reason - the reciprocating barrel - whodathunkit? Having learned that for myself, I taught my daughter, son-in-law, and grandson and got them all hitting in one afternoon. All the pellet gun practice transfers over, too. No charge for that tip. Told my wife when I got it that some guys buy Harleys. Seemed to make her feel better about the whole thing. Thank you for the video and your service!
